Infinite Sharing System: Cultivating With My Sister In The Apocalypse
Chapter 41: Taking Initiative
With those final words, the two monks left the room, closing the door behind them.
And now, Huizhen was left with the intruder, who, at a glance, seemed to be a fist fighter just like him.
But I won’t know anything until I take a closer look, Huizhen thought as he stood up before walking over to the intruder on the couch.
Huizhen took a deep breath, then placed a single finger on the intruder’s forehead, gently infusing Qi.
He flowed his Qi through the intruder’s meridians, but when he reached the Dantian, his connection to Qi was forcefully cut off.
Yet that wasn’t all, as Huizhen’s hand suddenly turned swollen, almost as if whatever was inside the intruder’s Dantian had attacked him.
However, Huizhen was certain of one thing: this wasn’t Demonic Qi. It was more volatile, and it wouldn’t hide itself like this, so if this intruder truly had Demonic Qi, it would’ve shown up the moment Huizhen began his Qi infusion.
So he’s not a spy, and he’s only a Spirit Warrior, so he isn’t a threat either, Huizhen deduced, narrowing his eyes. But why can’t I feel what’s inside his Dantian?
Huizhen had learned several Qi detection techniques, and he was able to accurately detect Qi Types of any cultivator up to the Spirit Lord realm, which was only a single realm higher than Spirit Grandmaster.
So, for the first time in nearly 40 years, Huizhen’s curiosity was piqued, and the only way he could find out more was by waiting for the man to wake up and ask him questions.
Huizhen sighed and approached his desk before swiftly writing down a few words on a small note.
[The intruder is not a threat. Leave him to me for a while, and I’ll make sure to find out everything.]
With that, he approached his door, slightly opening it and spotting a monk standing by.
"You. Take this to Head Monk Foyan. Don’t interrupt me for the next week or two unless it’s an emergency," Huizhen said sternly.
The monk who heard this immediately accepted the note. "Yes, Senior Huizhen!"
After that brief formality, the monk dashed away, leaving Huizhen alone once more, with only the intruder alongside him.
Since this was nothing but a waiting game from this point on, Huizhen went back behind his desk and returned to blankly filling out documents.
Yet a slight smile couldn’t help but tug at his lips as he shot the intruder a grateful glance.
"Thanks to you, I now have a two-week vacation."
And just like that, Huizhen returned to his former duties and waited for the intruder to wake up.

[Yuelan’s POV]
Yuelan dashed through the mountains and whatever other terrain she encountered after the scare Xuan had just given her.
This big dummy... what do you mean run away? Yuelan grumbled, yet she didn’t stop.
Shortly after he sent those messages, the ground shook, and she saw two red pillars of Qi burst into the sky.
It was Demonic Qi, and it was clear that Xuan had managed to piss someone off, and that certain someone was a little bit strong.
Even so, she listened like she always had, in the past and even now.
Some things don’t change... Yuelan thought with a bitter smile and sent a few messages.
<Xiao Yuelan: Hellooo? If you don’t reply in 10 seconds, you’re going to cook me food for a month.>
<Xiao Yuelan: I know you’re alive, dumbass. I can feel that through our connection, so if you think using this incident as an excuse to get a break from me is a good idea, then I’m going to make you cook me food for a year!>
Although she was frustrated, she was also worried.
What if something really did happen to Xuan? He was the only person she cared about, so what if those Demonic bastards got him?
The moment she had that thought, she tripped, skidding across a grassy plain. She unsheathed her sword and stuck it into the ground, stopping herself right as she was about to fall down a large cliff.
She heaved a relieved sigh and collected her thoughts.
Big brother is not here with me, and... Yuelan looked to the north, where a large mountain range was situated several hundred kilometers away.
I can feel him there.
She wanted to go to him like she always had, but she remembered the words Xuan had spoken in the dungeon.
"Yuelan, you’re not alone, and you never will be."
A smile tugged at Yuelan’s lips as she tightened her grip on her sword. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
If I want to stand beside big brother, then I must get stronger.
1 month.
She was going to get much stronger in a single month and then seek out Xuan.
But that’s only if that dummy doesn’t find me first. Yuelan pouted and decided it was time to take hold of all the opportunities she couldn’t with Xuan.
That dummy ignored the Myriad Spirit Pond’s true value. He also forgot about the Azure Sky sect, and he didn’t seem that eager in doing dungeons.
But she was more than eager. Therefore, Yuelan took a deep breath and glanced to the side.
Thankfully, this was the general direction where their city was, which meant the Azure Sky sect was not too far away.
Dungeons... Yuelan thought, turning to the side and opening her status screen.
She navigated to the bottom and pulled up one of the skills she had gotten from killing the Frost Yeti boss.
—
<Frost Walk>
<Rank: Mortal>
<Mastery Level: 1>
<Description: With every step you take, you freeze the water beneath your feet. Passive effect. You may turn this effect off at will.>

If every single skill I get is as shit as this one, I might as well jump off this cliff. Yuelan nodded to herself.
Still, she was sure there would be better skills eventually.
So, with that in mind, Yuelan turned to the side, her gaze lingering on the horizon where a distant city was situated.
She cracked her back, and without wasting time, she made her way to the city, her destination being the Azure Sky sect.
