Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Wild Earth

As usual, before leaving a world, Carter went corpse-robbing.

After what happened with the East Continent President, the corpses had been locked down pretty strictly to avoid similar incident of Atsuo Nakamura.

The new President, Shinichi, just loosened the restriction around these corpses a few days ago. Carter used his private jet to fly toward the East Continent to rob those four millions corpses.

He wasn’t going to literally convert all of those corpses because frankly, he didn’t have time. Converting Skin Shards required time. And if he did converting everything, that would take him at least months, even years.

There was a better and more exciting way to gain more power. Finding different skins and higher level skin shards.

The new President did thing much more gracefully compared to Nakamura. Instead of stuffing them all into a burning facility like trash, Shinichi left them in morgues all across the continent and slowly processed them. He gave the people a chance to claim a body in case they were family and only burned it if there was no family left.

This process was slower, and much more difficult than just outright burned them. But it was the more morally correct one. In the world that an honorable knight just sacrificed himself to save the world, everyone wanted to be just. Otherwise, who knew what may happen.

Carter sneaked into these morgues and converted the corpses that were going to be burned. No one was going to claim them anyway so he did the staff a favor.

He spent a few weeks running around morgues to do this. He used the Eldritch Skeleton Knight Skin to do this task.

This raised quite a question when people saw him in their camera recordings. They didn’t understand what the Skeleton Knight was doing. But they weren’t that concerned either.

The Skeleton Knight was destroying unidentifiable corpses and harmed no one.

After converting a little bit more than 10,000 corpses, Carter finally said enough.

’I should be going now.’

Carter left everything for Kaito to manage. The Metabolic Institute was taken over by Dr. Avaline, who was now the Director. Neros and Piper had already learned about the correct way of using Invoker’s power. Nina and Quill were growing stronger every day, they were also fulfilling their roles as instructors and taught more trainees.

In a full moon night, Carter left Barena and returned to the wilderness he once used to climb on Prime Train.

’Where should I go this time?’

Carter stepped into the portal and entered the Prime Station. The Prime Train arrived just in time to pick him up.

Carter still had the Minor Dimensional Map that he received from Alfred. He opened it up and thought about where he should go.

’Orange Dust is likely an apocalypse world. They do have Primers though so I’m not sure if they’re independent or under another factions.’

Carter decided against Orange Dust. It was just too dangerous to go there. He got his eyes on the other nearby dimensions.

With the access of the Exquisitor Leaderboards, Carter knew which one was already registered and which one wasn’t. Unregistered world still had their World Key available for Carter to take.

’Hmmm. This one is called Wild Earth and it isn’t conquered yet.’

Carter got his eyes on another dimension. He got onto the Exquisitor Forum to check if anyone knew about this place. He only read public posts instead of posting one himself.

Wild Earth was very popular amongst Primers. A lot of Primers went into the dimension and tried to get the world key.

Wild Earth wasn’t some untamed magical land like he thought it was. Wild Earth was a small dimension with only one nation, the Arashi Empire. This empire ruled over the entire land and each land had its own lords and power structure.

Arashi had one Emperor. The Tempest. Unfortunately, he had just recently died and the princes had fought among each other for the throne.

This situation created opportunities for other forces to rise up and take control of their own territory.

The Arashi Empire was currently in the time of war with five smaller nations fighting over who should get the Tempest Throne.

’Isn’t this just basically Japan?’ Carter frowned.

Some of the Primers took picture of the place and shared it all over the Forum. Thanked to this forum, Carter knew a lot about this world before he was even there.

’The Exquisitor Leaderboard is actually pretty useful. It allowed me to use this Forum. Otherwise, I would have wasted quite a lot of coins buying information from the Prime Train.’

Carter had decided his destination. Wild Earth.

That place was filled with other Primers. But at least it was still a free world. No faction had completed control over it yet.

"I know where I’m going, Alfred."

"Yes, sir?"

The train stopped at Wild Earth. This time, there were a lot of people on the Prime Train. It was so crowded that Carter gave up on staying in the main lounge. He was only visible when he got off the train.

Some of the Primers glanced at him at the station. They were trying to identify who he was or where he came from.

Carter was wearing System Ghost. He had a fake face on him with very ordinary clothes. They would never be able to find out who he really was because even he didn’t know.

’Wild Earth. Here I come.’

The Prime Station teleported him to a random location in Wild Earth.

He appeared in a wasteland once more. However, this time it was a desert.

"Oh, wee! Jackpot, boys!"

Suddenly, there was shouting in front of Carter.

A group of men holding long machetes were already waiting for him.

"I knew that damn train would drop someone here sooner or later."

The leader pointed the large blade at Carter. "Give us everything you have now, newbie!"

Carter smiled.
