"She’s here." Onyx suddenly informed Michael, who was relaxing on the couch in the living room.

"That was fast." Michael stayed with slightly raised brows.

It had been about 4 hours since he asked Onyx to give some clues about his whereabouts to the lady that was looking for his mother.

Michael believed that as soon as she heard about this, she would definitely come looking for him.

It was unexpected that she would come this fast. After all, there was quite some distance between the two cities, even when using a helicopter.

And from his knowledge, there was not even an airstrip in Drenn city, making it impossible for someone to be able to use their private jet in order to get here fast. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Regardless, just after Michael had said those words, the doorbell rang. This time, Michael did not ask any of his clones to open the door, instead, he went to get the door himself.

Elizabeth nodded, before she followed Michael into the villa. She looked around, but she lost interest in just a few seconds, as she sat on a couch in the living room.

Michael did not sit with her, instead, he asked, "What can I offer you? Would you like some coffee, tea, juice, or any other type of drink?"

"There is no need for that, just ask Cynthia to come over. It has been quite a long time since we last met." Elizabeth said as she waved her hand dismissively.

As expected, Elizabeth was looking for his mother. And from the way that she was speaking, it was clear that the relationship between them was good, just as it was stated in the information provided by Onyx.

Since Elizabeth did not want a drink, Michael simply shrugged, before he went ahead and sat opposite Elizabeth.

Just as Elizabeth was about to ask why he was not calling Cynthia, Michael said, "My mom already passed away over 4 years ago. So, in the entire family, I’m the only one remaining."

Michael’s words completely shocked Elizabeth, as she just looked at him, her eyes wide, as she was not sure on what she should say.

At the same time, apart from the shock that she had received from the news, she felt immense sadness within her heart.

So, she took quite a long while in order to calm down her emotions, and come to terms with the fact that this had happened.

As for Michael, he did not say anything else, and just waited for Elizabeth to calm down first. Eventually, a few minutes later, he spoke, "I noticed that you were looking for my mother, which is why I led you here."

Michael was not that much sure if she already knew that she was being led here or not, still, he just let her know about it.

"Haa!" Elizabeth exhaled deeply, as she gazed at Michael.

Eventually, she nodded and said, "I already noticed that someone was leading me here. Initially, I thought that it might have been Cynthia.

But unexpectedly, she passed away. I’m sorry for the loss."

"No problem, it has been quite a while, and the wounds have already healed." Michael responded as he shook his head.

Of course, while the wounds of losing his parents had already healed, the scars left behind could never be erased. That was why, Michael would make sure that Newton, who was involved with the death of his parents, paid the price.

As for why he was not hurrying to the capital to deal with him, it was simply because Michael was not in a hurry. After all, he had already waited for 4 years, in which he did not even know that his parents had been killed. So, waiting a few more months would not be much of a problem.

Still, she had ever lost someone that she cared about, and she knew about that pain. It was definitely not something that anyone would want to experience.

Eventually, she asked, "What about your father? Is he out right now? Can I meet with him?"

"Oh, about that, I forgot to mention, both of them passed away on the same day." Michael shook his head as he responded.

This time, Elizabeth gazed deeply at Michael, before she let out a helpless sigh. Then she said, "I’m sorry, if I had known about this, I would have definitely come looking for you."

"There is no need to worry about that. I appreciate your kindness." Michael replied.

Elizabeth remained silent for almost a minute, before she finally asked, "What do you usually do now? If you need help with anything, just tell me. As long as I can do it, I will definitely make sure to help."

"For now, I don’t really need anything. But I’ll make sure that if I need something, I will inform you about it." Michael replied politely.

Elizabeth raised her brows slightly at those words. But eventually, she just shook her head as she said, "Just remember, if you need something, make sure to tell me about it. Your mom and I were good friends, and even though we have not seen each other for over 18 years, this bond still exists.

So, while she might not be here, you, as her son, are still here. So, I will just take it as though she is still here through you."

Michael did not understand her logic, but he just nodded.

Though, he was kind of curious, why did she come looking for his mother? Could it be that they had made an agreement that they would meet during this year?

As he was about to ask about this, Elizabeth said, "By the way, today, when I was coming to look for your mother, it was because of an agreement that we made over 18 years ago.

Before she left the capital, I had just given birth to a daughter. And I already knew that she was carrying a baby boy. So, we made an agreement, that once her son grew to 18, he will be engaged to my daughter.

Now that she’s not here, this promise cannot be upheld. But in case you are interested, I can make an arrangement for you and my daughter to meet. If you can develop an interest in her, maybe we can become a family.
