Considering that the mall was full of surveillance cameras, it was not much of a problem for Onyx to be able to get the footage.

Because of that, it was easy for Michael to be able to monitor the movements of Margaret and the lady who was beside her.

Through facial recognition, Michael was able to find out the information regarding Rachel. She was Margaret’s niece, and had been living with Margaret since a young age.

Of course, Michael was able to get quite a detailed profile of the two ladies. It was just that, apart from the relationship with his father, it did not seem as though there was any other tie between him and Margaret.

For this reason, he was quite puzzled as to why Margaret came looking for him. Could it be that she was interested in his current ’background’?

He did not believe that someone from the Rico family did not know about the fact that he owned several companies. Even Vanguard Corporation, the information about him being the only shareholder of the company could not be hidden.

Yes, it was not much of a problem for Onyx to hide the information that could be found online. But what about the people that knew about it? It was not as if Michael could control them, preventing them from spreading the information.

Therefore, Michael believed that Margaret already knew about this. Therefore, in Michael’s mind, he thought, the only reason that could lead to Margaret looking for him was related to either Sky Technologies or Vanguard corporation.

Despite what he was thinking, on the 10th floor of the Skyline Grand Mall, Michael and the two ladies waited outside the elevator.

Michael had told the two ladies to go and wait inside a coffee shop, but they insisted that they would wait with him. Since that was the case, Michael did not push for them to take a break.

Just a few moments later, the doors of the elevator opened. Several people walked out of the elevator, with each one of them heading their way, apart from two people, who were last to exit the elevator.

As other people accessed the elevator, Margaret and Michael stood face to face for the first time. Margaret was observing Michael, while Michael was trying to read what Margaret was thinking about.

From Margaret’s perspective, the moment that she saw Michael, she felt quite sentimental. She could see the resemblance between Michael and Zachary.

While it was not as though Michael looked completely like his father, there were some features that could not be distinguished between the two of them.

Rachel on the other hand had never seen Michael before. So, the moment that she realized that Margaret had stopped, and was looking at a young man, she also looked over.

At first, she thought that it was just a coincidence. Maybe, Margaret had just met with someone that she knew. But looking at that expression on Margaret’s face, she immediately realized what was going on.

She immediately caught on the fact that this young man in front of her was none other than Michael. She gazed at him, trying to see what was special about him.

But as she looked at him, she found that he was ordinary? In terms of appearance, even though he was above average, he was definitely not among those that could stand out among a crowd of men, with his looks.

Though, as she continued to observe him, she realized something. It seemed that there was something a little different about Michael.

She could not exactly pinpoint what it was, but she felt that he was different. She was not sure how she was to describe it if someone asked, but she felt some kind of attraction towards him?

Just as she was scrutinizing Michael like this, Michael suddenly spoke. "Hello, nice to meet you. Should we find a place so that we can talk?"

It was only when Michael spoke that the two ladies finally came out of their stupor. While Rachel blushed slightly when she realized that she had been staring at Michael, Margaret simply nodded, her expression calm.

Seeing her nod, Michael then turned around and headed towards a coffee shop, which was the closest to the elevator.

Kate and Carol obviously followed. Even though they were quite curious about the identity of the two ladies, they did not ask about it immediately.

That was especially for Kate. She frowned a little, especially when she noticed how the two ladies were looking at Michael. She was not sure about the relationship between Michael and the two ladies, but she figured that something was off.

It was only when Kate and Carol began following Michael that Margaret and Rachel seemed to notice them. Initially, they had focused on Michael, that they failed to notice the presence of the two ladies.

Margaret frowned slightly, especially when she noticed that Kate was extremely close to Michael. She seemed to remember something, and for a moment, a cold glint flashed through her eyes.

Still, she was able to compose herself, and did not expose anything. At least, she believed that nobody noticed it.

As for Rachel, she wondered, what kind of arrangement had Margaret and the Santos family made for her? If this guy already had girlfriend, then, what was the use of her being here?

Clearly, the relationship between Michael and the blonde haired lady was not of siblings.

As she thought about the possibility that Michael was currently in a relationship, she felt resentful in her heart. Previously, because of Michael, Margaret had asked her to break up with her boyfriend.

Even though she was not forced, and it was a request from Margaret, Rachel felt obligated to do that. She was reluctant, yes, but as compared to Margaret, she felt that the relationship that had just began budding could be broken off.

But now, she wondered, could it be that she had broken up with her boyfriend in vain? If this did not work out because Michael had a girlfriend, she thought, she might have to find a way of getting back together with her boyfriend.

While she was thinking about this, the group entered the coffee shop. They found an empty table, before they sat down.

The coffee shop itself was quite spacious and luxurious. It was to be expected of a coffee shop that could be found in such a big mall.

Michael sat on one side with the two ladies, with him sitting on one end, and Kate in the middle, while Rachel and Margaret sat opposite them.

About 2 minutes later, everyone had already settled down, and had placed an order. During this time, nobody spoke, as if they were waiting for the drinks to be brought over first.

A little while later, the drinks were served. Michael’s black coffee was placed in front of him, followed by Kate’s café latte. Carol received a cup of Earl Grey tea, Margaret a cappuccino crowned with a layer of smooth milk foam, while Rachel was served a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.

After taking a few sips of her cappuccino, Margaret finally spoke.

"I’m pretty sure that nobody informed you about the reason why I came to visit you. So, I will go straight to the point. I had a relationship with your father, not the romantic type, but we knew each other.

Because of this, I thought, if you are willing, I would like you to be my son-in-law. What do you think? If you agree, this lady beside me, Rachel, will become your bride." Margaret went straight to the point.

It was just that, her words left everyone at the table dumbfounded. They all look at her, stunned expressions on their faces, including Michael.

Not even for a moment did he ever think of a possibility that something like this could be the reason why Margaret came looking for him.

Of course, he had already found out a little bit about the obsession that Margaret had with his father. But, this, it was a little too much, right?

When they met, Michael had already figured that something was a little unusual about Margaret. And now, the moment that she suggested this, through the several expert level skills that he had related to human psychology, he figured out what she was thinking about.

Probably, she was still not over the fact that she could not get together with Zachary. Because of that, she thought of another alternative, which was to be related to Zachary through his son.

Of course, she could not marry Michael, as she was way older than him, and Michael could easily refuse. But Rachel, that was a different story.

Even though Rachel was not Margaret’s real daughter, but she had been raising her since Rachel was young. And Rachel considered Margaret as her mother.

Possibly, Margaret wanted to deal with this obsession by having Michael call her mother. After all, if she had gotten married to Zachary, she would have Zachary’s son calling her mother.

Even though he was not sure if he was accurate on what he was thinking, he believed that it was along the lines. At the thought of this, he felt, this lady, she really needed help.

This kind of obsession, it could be fatal at times. It was no wonder that Michael had noticed some slight ill intent directed at Kate when she walking beside him when they were coming into the coffee shop.

Clearly, there was a possibility that if Michael refused, Margaret might do something drastic.

"I’m sorry, but that cannot happen. I already have a girlfriend, and I’m not considering anyone else for a partner." Still, Michael shook his head as he responded.
