Michael had already noticed that there was a pair of footsteps that were heading their way. Through the earpiece, Onyx informed him about the identity of the person that was coming over.

Kate and Carol looked at the person who had spoken, and they did not recognize him. They had initially thought that it might be the group that they had dealt with previously at the auction.

Michael on the other hand looked at Henry who was smiling at him with a calm expression on his face. He just shrugged in response to what Henry had just commented previously.

Seeing that Michael was not responding, Henry let out a helpless sigh as he said, "I understand why you resent my father. But, we are cousins after all, and I didn’t know about what had happened to you.

Could we get a moment and talk about this matter? My dad told me that they already cleared part of the misunderstanding with you. But I know that this is not enough. So, since we met here, why not take the chance as I believe that it was fate that made us meet?"

Michael understood what Henry was implying. Since their first meeting, Michael had asked Onyx to do an investigation on Henry.

What he found out was that, although this guy liked to have fun, he had a good character. It was no wonder that he was deemed to be the next family head after his father, Newton.

"Maybe later, because today, there is someone that I’m supposed to meet." Michael shook his head as he responded.

Henry did not insist on hearing this. Though he was curious about why Michael came to the capital, he did not ask.

Instead, he said, "Then no problem. I believe that this is your first visit to the capital. Once you’re done, let me know and I’ll take you around."

After he said that, he shifted his gaze from Michael and gazed at the two ladies. He could recognize Carol, despite her effort to disguise herself. As for Kate, he could not. But even then, he was left amazed for a moment.

Before he said anything, he turned and looked at Michael and gave him a smile as he asked, "So, which of these two is going to be my cousin-in-law? Or maybe, both?"

For Carol, having interacted with many people, and having been teased on many occasions, she did not have much of a reaction to Henry’s question.

Though, internally, she thought that, if only that really was the case. Still, she managed to show no emotions at all.

But it was different for Kate. Even though Michael had already told her about his situation with the Santos family, and knew that they were not close, she still felt kind of nervous.

Michael might not admit close ties with the Santos family, but it was a fact that they were his family by blood relation.

Therefore, she felt kind of nervous when she met someone who was Michael’s relative. Apart from the old couple from The orphanage, this was the first person that she was meeting that was related to Michael.

As for the question about if she was his cousin-in-law or both she and Carol were, she did not say anything. Instead, it was Michael who clarified.

"She is the one. She’s a friend." Michael responded as he pointed at Kate and Carol respectively.

Henry understood, and immediately apologized to Kate for the misunderstanding. He understood that his words could have easily caused some friction between Michael and his girlfriend.

"I’m sorry about what I just said. I hope that you don’t misunderstand, I was just joking around, because I wasn’t sure after all." Henry said in an apologetic tone.

Kate simply waved her hand as she said in a low voice, "Actually, there is no need to worry about that. I understand."

Of course, Kate understood what Henry was trying to imply when he asked that question. Clearly, it was quite normal for the young masters of some big families to have several girls at the same time.

Even her own cousin Raymond, she already knew about the fact that he was involved with several girls. So, of course, Henry’s words were not misunderstood by her.

Still, she thought gratefully that she had not ever heard of Michael getting involved with any other girl apart from herself. Maybe Carol, but Michael had already clarified their relationship.

Henry felt relieved that nothing had gone wrong. Therefore, he quickly said, "Okay, I will be on my way now. Michael, make sure to contact me when you are free. We really need to talk."

Despite the fact that Michael nodded his head, he did not take Henry’s words seriously. He understood that Henry was mainly thinking about the family. But for Michael, at the moment, he did not want to have any involvements with the Santos family.

When he was young, he did not even know about the existence of the Santos family. And after he had grown up, when he needed help, they did not show up.

Therefore, no matter the fact that the Santos family was his father’s family, and it was true that Henry was his cousin, Michael did not acknowledge that relationship.

He watched as Henry disappeared within a crowd of people, before he turned to look at the two ladies and said, "There is someone that I will need to meet on the 10th floor. So, we might have to pause shopping for a little bit first.

And by the way, it is not a must for you to come with me. You can continue looking around on your own, and I will come find you later on."

Kate simply shook her head upon hearing Michael’s words. She said, "Don’t worry, I can wait. Anyway, it is not as if I am in a hurry to go anywhere."

But she had only just said those words that she suddenly remembered about Carol’s presence. Carol was currently under a contract with a company, and she was a music artist.

Because of this, she normally had a busy schedule. It was quite surprising that she was able to find time, an entire day the previous day, and today, to accompany them.

But obviously, she could not always be there, and Kate had noticed the fact that Carol was also interested in looking around.

"Carol, what do you think? If you want, we can continue looking around while waiting for him. There is no need for you to waste this time when you are free, waiting for us." Kate stated.

Carol immediately shook her head when she heard that. She said, "There is no problem. We can take that chance to relax a bit. After all, we have been going around for quite a while now."

Michael of course understood that it was not that the two ladies could not afford to pay for the necklaces. Recently, Carol had began earning quite a good amount of money after the promotion by the company.

As for Kate, she was from the biggest family in the eastern province. So of course, some jewelry would not be a problem for her to afford, especially considering that none of them was very pricey.

Just after they left the store, Michael was informed by Onyx that Margaret was about to arrive. She was already entering the parking lot of the mall.

"Let’s go to the 10th floor. Let’s get something to drink while we take a little break. They have already arrived." Michael said as he led the way towards the elevator, with the two ladies following behind him.

As for the items that they had purchased, on each floor, they left them in the store, leaving with only the receipts. They would come back later to pick them, and if not, they would just give the address for them to be sent over.
