Since Cinkaidu was huge and nearest to the region which is the end point of my travels, I can start getting information from the four areas that I will be visiting quite soon from here. My shopaholic self will also not let me leave this place before I can get to explore every store and look at all the items that I could get my hands on for my growing family. It is also not such a bad idea to support the local economy by spending my money here.

I arrived in Cinkaidu just as the sun was setting. I usually choose this time to arrive so as not to get too much attention on me. At this time, there are many other people coming and going through the gates, much like traffic during the rush hour traffic on earth.

Most of the store owners and staff are also busy tending to customers since it was dinner time and the time working people also get off of work at this time too. Other establishments that open at night are already setting up their stalls so there are less people that have the time to mind a new face like mine.

Since most of the government offices and quite a few special services offices are already closed at this time, I can only wait till tomorrow morning to start asking around. For now, I will have to start with getting an inn for myself and finding a place to eat. I also want to do some night market shopping too.

This time I have decided not to be too thrifty in my expenses since I have been doing that for the last 5 major towns. I will get the best inn for myself this time. I have already scouted for some places where I can sell the items I have gathered here and there from the previous towns and the forests I have passed by during my travels. I have been waiting to reach the more prosperous regions to sell the items I purchased from the smaller towns too for extra pocket money.

Yeah. I did that much shopping in the previous towns since I was planning to do a quick buy and sell business on the side. I have sent all the other useful stuff to my shared storages for reselling and the rest were left with my husbands as gifts and souvenirs.

After having my fill on food and finding the inn I wanted, I settled in for the night. I did not forget the little ritual I have with my new dragon friend to talk at night and share with each other how our day have been. I still kept the conversation to only half an hour before we took our rest so as not to tire him out since there is not much mana in the human realm anyways. I know that whatever mana he has regained from yesterday won’t be able to support a long connection.

The next morning, I visited the well-known information guild within Cinkaidu. It may be well-known but it still works behind the scenes so they can’t operate in the open. The front that they use to operate their business is a simple bookstore named Quest which is on a corner lot right on the busiest street in Cinkaidu. As luck has it, it is just 2 blocks away from the inn I am staying in.

As for visiting it, I can make it seem like I am just walking around and I can even enter each and every store on my way there before "stumbling into" the bookstore on the corner lot of the street. As for what would be happening once I am inside, I already know the procedure to get their services because of the people I befriended at the inn. I also have the money to pay for whatever service I need so I do not foresee any issues.

Though I have already received some information from my four husbands regarding the situation back in their respective hometowns, I needed the current situations, latest updates and information that are purposely hidden by the included parties as well as the problems they are facing. One of the plans that I have with my four husbands is to hoard wealth and use it to buy land gradually. Though we couldn’t demote the countdom unless they do something against the law, it does not mean that the barony can’t get promoted when they own more land and more wealth.

Once I have talked to the receptionist, I paid the necessary fees for the services and even hired four of their best staff at once so that they can each concentrate on a particular region. I want each staff to concentrate in one of the "enemy" families only so the information will be more comprehensive and worth the money I paid for. I want them to get as much information as they can get about the families of the Countdom of Hurley, Countdom of Drusilla, Earldom of Cassia and Countdom of Borg during the three-day deadline I gave them.

My husbands have not made contact with their respective paternal families in any way just yet since they are fearing for their safety from their maternal families. I would be the one to first make contact to their paternal families instead since it is like visiting my in-laws for the first time since their sons married me.

My husbands also made sure to give me appropriate gifts based on the culture of their territories for this visit. They were even more excited and at the same time nervous than me who is the onethat is sent to meet them in person. Besides, it would only take just one teleport for me to bring each of them in the place I am in once the meeting is set.

While waiting for the results from the information guild, I visited some offices that buy alchemy items and herbs, first to sell some of my stash as well as buy some rare things I can find from there to sell inside my own alchemy shop. I am a certified physician and herbalist so I will never miss the chance to use my position to get discounts and privileges on buying these things. I also do not mind healing people that needed urgent care in Cinkaidu while I am at it.

I did not forget to complete the observation notes which was my original task too and visiting the numerous villages surrounding Cinkaidu. Since I planned to stay here for 5 days to make it more believable that I really went around and observed, I started roaming and observing. I was so efficient that by the fourth day, I already ran out of things to do even when I took some leisure time in between! Can you blame me that my body has high specifications so I can do things more quickly and efficiently without needing much rest?

It was a good thing that the results from the information guild finally arrived late afternoon of my fourth day in the town so I had something to do! I read all the information that each staff have gathered. I made sure to take note of the problems that the enemy families have and also key persons that can make these problems worsen or better yet make even create more problems.

As for the land purchases, my husbands have already hired people who have been holding on several plots of land they bought from their respective maternal families posing as their proxies. The enemy family simply thought that some small noveau rich merchants simply wanted land of their own to develop and earn money from and since they needed more cash to run their countdoms and earldoms, they readily sold the land below market prices thinking it was just extra land anyway that they can buy back since the owners were different people that aren’t connected to each other.

I can’t wait to see their reactions when they realize that all those land titles were actually owned by the same person (me, in behalf of my husbands) who in turn was connected to the families they were previously bullying? 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

It may be a small move in our part compared to the grievances of those that are bullied if you think about it but you just have to know where and how to hit your enemies where it hurts the most for them. As for these greedy families, it would be their sources of wealth and their fragile reputation that they tried so hard to craft all these years by sacrificing their own people and their own conscience.
