Just as Felix rejoiced for finally making a breakthrough to Awakener Rank 7, he was startled awake by an appalling smell attacking his nostrils.

He abruptly opened his eyes and his face twisted into full disgust after seeing black fluid slithering on his skin.

He was about to ask the Guide, when the latter’s voice already echoed in his mind.

[Host, you should clean yourself now. Those are impurities. Since your physique has been freed from them, you can easily reach the Commander rank in two weeks by now.]

Felix was stunned. He did not expect it would only take two weeks to reach the Commander rank. He estimated before that it might take more than a month—perhaps, with additional week—but reducing it two weeks was out of his expectation.

Excited, he was about to stand up to clean himself as the repulsive smell was churning his stomach when he was startled by Moon’s presence.

He had forgotten the main purpose of meditating, causing him to smack his face in realization.

He dropped his energy to stand up as he gazed at Moon in a daze.

"So, how will I be able to clean myself with her around?"

[Just leave her be.]

Felix was dumbfounded.

"I’m speechless, how did you come up with such method?"

[You don’t have a choice. I’m beginning to feel nauseous by your smell.]

Felix didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. In the end, he took out his phone and messaged Krisha if she was free.

Thankfully, she responded immediately and Felix told her that he needed a favor, asking her to come here.

Krisha responded with an "ok" and five minutes later, she appeared.

She was about to ask him what was wrong when the repulsive smell assaulted her nostrils, causing her to immediately pinch her nose while frowning heavily at Felix.

Felix smiled bitterly. "You see, I need to take a shower and Moon and Rain needed accompany here. I can’t bring Moon since she’s in the middle of evolution."

Krisha was taken aback. Her eyes widened.

She asked, her tone was off after pinching her nose, "Why is she undergoing evolution, to begin with? Is she ascending to the Rare rank?"

Felix smiled and shook his head. "Her bloodline got awakened, so she’s having evolution." Felix gazed at her with solemn face and said, "I won’t hide it from you, her potential reached five stars after awakening."

Krisha’s mouth opened in shock. She trembled.

Felix smiled. "Can you accompany them? I’ll take a shower first."

Krisha was about to ask what happened to him, noticing black fluids around his skin, but the repulsive smell made her agree with him.

Felix said, "Don’t worry, we can talk later after I’ve cleaned myself."

She nodded.

Felix placed carefully Moon and Rain on the ground and then proceeded to the opposite direction of Krisha to prevent disgusting her more.

After he disappeared, Krisha glanced at Moon and Rain in a daze, and sighed.

"Just how careless is he? He could have just give Moon and Rain to me than soiling them."

Krisha walked forward and sat in a lotus position, facing Moon and Rain. She placed Moon on her right knee and Rain on her left knee.

She caressed them both and was quite surprised she didn’t face any resistance from them.

She took the chance to observe them closely, starting with Moon.

Her fur often changing from pure white and tinge of grey, she’s quite unstable...

She thought Moon might be feeling uncomfortable but from how peaceful her face appeared, she changed her mind.

A beast with five stars potential. Her bloodline awakens... What does this supposed to mean?

She was aware the significance of the beast’s bloodline. In fact, prior to the bloodline awakening, every beasts has three stars potential, as long as their species’ evolution could reach Unique rank.

A Beast Tamer King and above reached such state simply because they managed to awaken their beast pets’ bloodline, causing them to reach Epic rank, helping their master to reach the same level as them.

However, Felix managed to awaken Moon’s bloodline while he was still in the Awakener rank.

Krisha didn’t know what to say.

She has been slapped with surprises from Felix many times, but she was still not used to them.

In fact, one of the surprises made her depressed and caused her to distance herself from him.

Now, as they had just repaired their friendship, thanks with the effort of Felix despite the problem being her, she was bombed with another surprise again.

Krisha didn’t know what to say. But she knew how to react from this.

She giggled. This guy is full of surprises, isn’t he?

It wasn’t easy for her to accept the fact that the difference between her and Felix when it came to growing stronger was vast and it might not be possible for her to catch up to him, leading her to be disappointed at herself.

But she knew that by comparing herself solely for Felix, like what the latter had said, was a double-edge sword.

It might motivate her, but it would also harm her on the process, possibly shattering the friendship they established longed before the desire to surpass him manifested.

And I’m glad that he took so much effort just to repair what we had. He didn’t even bother hiding from me, despite the secrets being heavy and could possibly harm him.

Just recalling Felix’s face made her giggle.

A warmth sensation spread throughout her left palm, startling her awake. She noticed it was Rain, attempting to communicate with him.

She smiled bitterly. "I’m sorry, Rain. I can’t understand you."

Rain seemed to not understand her as he kept attempting to communicate with her.

Eventually, Krisha realized something.

Her eyes widened.

Alright, alright, thanks for assuring me, Rain. I understand you now.

Rain finally simmered down after trying to communicate with her, enjoying Krisha’s gentle caress on the hilt.

Krisha beamed a smile at him.

She understood Rain’s message.

Felix wasn’t growing stronger for the sake of surpassing others and destroying their ego. It was for himself, for his friends and his family.

That includes her.
