Chapter 61: Moon’s Evolution

Moon grew up an inch taller, her body expanded a quarter of her previous size, and her fur became more smooth and gorgeous to gaze at.

When she opened her eyes, the innocence sparkling within dwindle somewhat. Just one glance at her eyes made Felix’s heart skipped a beat.

He instantly recalled Moon’s ancestor.

He beamed a smile at her as he grabbed her and pulled her to his embrace.

Krisha observed Moon closely and said, "Nothing changes around her fur, but her skin..."

Krisha slowly moved her hand towards Moon, also conveying her desire to touch her that caused her to indirectly ask for Felix’s permission.

Felix simply nodded with a smile, causing her to brush Moon’s fur to look at her skin.

Felix and Krisha saw Moon’s skin being darker in white tone, seemingly radiating a lunar energy.

Her fur released ice energy while her skin released lunar energy... the dual energy inside Moon’s body was obviously balanced—as much as Felix’s threefold circulation meditation technique.

Felix was so proud of Moon’s evolution. He caressed her head while asking her, "How do you feel?"

Moon responded with her cat language.

She meowed quite long, compelling Krisha to ask what she had said.

Felix beamed a smile and caressed Moon.

"She said that she felt great and has dreamed of her ancestor, too. She had quite a lengthy conversation with her."

"Too? Do you mean you’ve also seen her ancestor?"

Felix nodded. "Yeah, she’s a divine entity already. She’s living in the literal moon."

Krisha inhaled sharply.

"Does that mean she’ll become like that, too."

Felix turned towards her and smiled. "Of course, but it’s still not a guarantee. Because future is uncertain."

Krisha rolled her eyes. She gazed at PengPeng, who had began walking towards Moon, curious about his rival.

She thought. I wonder what does the ancestor of PengPeng looked like. I want to see them.

PengPeng finally got closer to Moon and directed a curious gaze at her. He knew then that Moon had surpassed him.

One smack on his beak would be enough to injure him.

Nevertheless, Moon wasn’t as aggressive and bully as before. When she saw PengPeng went closer to her to observe her closely, she extended her neck, licking PengPeng’s cheeks.

Felix smiled and placed Moon in front of PengPeng as Moon jumped towards PengPeng’s head.

PengPeng felt Moon’s heavy weight, but he didn’t complain.

He simply endured the weight, afraid of displeasing Moon that he might get smacked again but this time with much heavier and powerful claws.

It was something he couldn’t endure.

Staring at them, Felix and Krisha couldn’t help but giggle.

Krisha commented, "How cute."

Felix agreed by nodding.

He suddenly yawned as the sunlight had finally basked them with warmth sensation.

Krisha glanced at Felix and rolled her eyes.

"It seems you need to sleep now."

Felix nodded. "Yeah, I still have to participate in the ramble later."

He turned towards her. "By the way, you aren’t planning to participate?"

Krisha pondered for a while.

"I’ll do it tomorrow. I think I still need to rest more. I want to fight while in the peak condition."

Krisha glanced at Moon. "You don’t plan on participating in the beast sync arena? I think you and Moon are already fit to battle against them."

Felix went silent for a while, staring at Moon.

He said, "She needs to take a rest. We also have to establish deeper understanding with ourselves, so that might take a week."

Krisha nodded. "I also think that way for me and PengPeng, too."

Felix turned towards the sun’s head, rising through the east, illuminating the horizon.

He yawned wide that he had to cover his mouth with his fist.

He then said, "Let’s take a deep sleep now. Krisha, see you later."

He stood up, whistled for Moon and the latter ran towards him and leapt to his shoulder, as he grabbed Rain and placed him in his belt.

He had already returned the plastic bag since he wasn’t planning to practice his sword techniques.

After settling everything down, he turned towards Krisha and asked, "You’ll sleep later?"

Krisha shook her head and grabbed PengPeng to his embrace.

She walked towards him and said, "I’ll be taking a rest, too."

They then walked together to the Residential Wing, catching the attention of disciples again.

...

A group of outer disciples were currently gathered in one of the table inside the canteen. They were discussing about what to occur on the ramble later.

When they saw Felix and Krisha, they directed a hateful glared at the former, while staring at Krisha as though they felt it was a waste for her to spend her time with an outcast.

They believed Felix was to be blamed because of his arrogance that made the Azure Cleave Dojo’s reputation turned into worst.

They were even being attacked by other dojos, for failing to stop a recent awakener, who summoned a sword.

Felix wasn’t even using his summoned sword, and instead used a wooden sword, defeating them with ease by utilizing his own sword techniques.

It was even more exasperating after perceiving the instructor seemed to have favor him, despite the destruction he brought to the dojo.

According to their source, Isaac who welcomed them, Master Shen appeared to be favoring Felix after their brief interaction.

Hence, Isaac spread to the outer disciples that Felix was an anomaly, who has to be taken care of immediately.

Currently, the Top 20 to Top 24 disciples had decided to band together to defeat him—they were currently discussing how to defeat him.

"Look at him, smirking as though he didn’t even care about how we deeply hated him."

"Don’t worry, we’ll wiped that smirk off of his face," said the Top 20 outer disciple.

He swept his gaze towards them and asked his members, starting from Top 21.

"How are you getting progress to the Falling Current Step and the Rooted Horizon?" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

Each of the members have learned a sword technique not limited to the Mist-Splitting Line, which every outer disciple starting Top 25 and above have only grasped at the proficient level.

This is also why starting below Top 24, there were already standards for an outer disciple to reach such level...
