Felix was quite surprised. But then, it made sense to him why she chose to distance herself rather than solidifying their friendship.

Because she knew that at some point they would reach that state.

That all their happy moments would inevitably reached their end.

So, they all stemmed from her childhood trauma, huh?

Felix didn’t blame her, he couldn’t. After all, for a child to lost her mother would definitely carry that trauma until she grew up.

Felix gazed at Krisha for a while before turning his head away from her to focus at the moon above.

He said, "You know, I was worrying about the same thing, but I didn’t want to live myself in the future that is uncertain."

Krisha was taken aback. Felix’s words struck deep into her convictions.

However, Felix wasn’t done yet.

"And living in the future will certainly affects how I should live in the present."

Krisha dazed at Felix. His words made so much sense her convictions were slowly being altered.

"Look at the moon above, Krisha."

Krisha left her gaze off of him and tilted her head upwards.

"Does the moon worries that it will inevitably get replaced by the sun?"

Krisha’s eyes widened. She was awestruck by the beauty of the moon and, at the same time, of the moon’s feelings.

Does she worry about having to leave them behind and get replaced by the sun?

Just as she continued to ponder, Felix’s voice echoed again.

"Look at how she’s shining. She’s illuminating the world when the sun vanishes. And when the sun returns, she simply know she has to leave because by the next night, it’ll be her turn again.

We can’t appreciate the moon’s works without the sun exhausting us throughout the day, and we can’t appreciate the sun without the moon for letting us rest throughout the night.

They are like our father and mother, continuing to illuminate us on their own way, not worrying about the scientist’s prediction of the universe destruction in the next billion years.

Because they knew that they just had to perform what they were for even if the uncertain future would inevitably come.

That was still far... far, Krisha. Only by living in the present we truly appreciate how a gift it is to be granted to us."

Krisha listened attentively to Felix’s words. After a while, she closed her eyes and enjoyed the breeze caressing her whole body.

She remained like that for a while, but her worries of what the future might hold slowly subsided.

Until she finally appreciate what it meant to live in the fleeting moment...

After their deep conversation, Felix asked Krisha if she would proceed to her room now and took a sleep. After all, it was already quite late past midnight.

However, Krisha firmly shook her head as she decided to accompany him throughout the night, curious about the result of Moon’s evolution.

At the same time, Felix had also decided to teach her everything she needed to know.

Thankfully, Krisha decided to practice her sword techniques after assessing her muscle soreness has dwindled down a bit.

She used Felix’s wooden sword, which was quite huge in her grasp, but she didn’t complain. She took the chance to show off her current progress on her sword techniques.

To Felix’s surprise, Krisha actually reached level two.

She’s progressing quite fast. Is it because we are guiding her, Guide?

Felix found it quite admirable that Krisha’s progress was quite fast, even when she didn’t have Rain.

Felix couldn’t be more prouder to see her current state of progress. Hell, he would even brag to Master Shen if Krisha would surpass him.

After Krisha performed a set of exercise to show off her current progress, Felix clapped his hands gently, afraid it might disturb Moon.

Even Rain was applauding Krisha by dimming her body with azure light.

Krisha beamed a smile at them, elated by their response.

Felix said, "I had never thought you’d progress so quickly. Your hard work pays off, Krisha."

"Thanks, but I also exhausted myself to such extent that it might break my body down. I have to slow down for a bit."

"You certainly should. What’s the point of gaining strength quickly when it came with a heavy cost you can’t carry?"

Krisha nodded. "Yeah, I understand. Don’t worry, I’ll be mindful to myself."

Felix smiled.

Then, with the help of Guide’s suggestion, they tried their best to correct every posture to stabilize her solid foundation in reaching level 2 of her sword techniques.

For the next hours, she improved a lot, causing Krisha to be even amazed. She thanked Felix out of hysteria that she did not even realize she just went ahead and hugged him tightly.

Felix simply smiled and hugger her back, saying, "It’s really refreshing to see you progress quite quickly, Krisha. It shows how your potential."

Krisha rolled her eyes and replied while her head was behind him, "I just wish it matches yours."

Felix chuckled. "I wish, too."

For the last few hours before dawn, they continued until Moon’s evolution showed signs of conclusion.

Felix and Krisha hurriedly stopped their practice session as they observed Moon.

The main reason why they assumed Moon’s evolution was about to conclude simply because the Guide had told Felix about it.

There were also a few minutes before dawn arrived, so it was within the Guide’s expectations.

After a while, Moon’s body suddenly reflected the moonlight brightly to the point they had to squint their eyes.

As the sunlight finally glittered the skies with its golden dust, Moon’s evolution finally concluded...
