Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 63: Unpredictable
Instructor Albert finally appeared and he was delighted to see Felix again. Felix momentum was unstoppable, always keeping a perfect score for his past battles.
Although it was quite a shame that he could not give a special merit allocation to Felix from the past few battles, it also showed how powerful Felix had become for him to treat a special as something normal.
Instructor Albert didn’t dilly-dally anymore and asked the outer disciples to come up on stage for the first round.
He was utterly surprised when he saw a Top 20 to Top 24 outer disciples to arrive as Felix also ascended after them.
He frowned. Did something happen while I was away?
Top 30 and below outer disciples rarely participated in the ranking—only doing so once a week to maintain their current rank.
If they fell off, then they would participate more to regain their ranking. After all, they would rather invest their time in beast sync arena or improving their current strength.
Hence, for the consecutive Top 20 to Top 24 disciples to participate in the first round was rare.
But it would be too much of a coincidence after Felix ascended.
Felix’s current rank was stabilized at Top 28, with more than three rounds with perfect score needed to reach Top 27.
Furthermore, for him to reach Top 24 required him to participate in the Beast Sync Arena. Thankfully, there was still enough time for him and Moon to sync themselves before participating.
Instructor Albert faced the six courageous disciple and said, "Am I missing something?"
Wayne replied, "What do you mean, Instructor?"
Instructor Albert rolled his eyes and shrugged.
"I wish you’ll be successful in whatever you’re planning."
He then turned towards Felix and said, "I wish you’ll do well in the battle later."
Felix nodded and replied, "Thanks, Instructor."
Instructor Albert nodded and proceeded to lead them in the center of the platform.
They then scattered them in different directions before officially starting the first round of the ramble.
The outer disciples were currently discussing with themselves, while Krisha had just arrived.
She closely listened to them.
"Do you think that bastard can overcome against Wayne and others?"
"It’s hard to say, but his chances of winning are slim. Only Jesse is at Awakener Rank 6 while the rest are Awakener Rank 7, Wayne being at the Awakener Rank 8. Do you still think he can win?"
"Right. Jesse is also the most talented outer disciple we have. Earl and Roy has also mastered the Falling Current Step. Paul is also a beast because of his current progress in Rooted Horizon."
"We’ll see. I wish to see that bastard gets defeated because of his arrogance."
After hearing Felix’s current situation, Krisha simply shrugged.
She snorted and thought. There’s no way that guy can still be beaten. At his level, he can already cross rank. Hell, I won’t be surprised if he can stand toe to toe against an ordinary Commander rank if he has Rain.
Krisha was fully confident that Felix would emerge victorious.
Sure, the outer disciples’ opinion were valid, considering they were quite knowledgeable on Felix’s opponents, but they were completely ignorant of Felix’s current strength.
Only she, who knew a lot, has the right to conclude that Felix would overwhelm them in the end.
... 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Felix, inside the mists, weren’t aware that Krisha had finally arrived. He didn’t bother her earlier after he informed her he would participate in the ramble again.
At this moment, he was walking confidently inside the mists. He walked with leisure while his body was completely relaxed.
He didn’t even take a proper stance as he simply straightened his back and carried his wooden sword single-handedly. He searched for his opponent while limiting the noise of his footsteps.
Finally, he sharply turned his head towards a direction where a silhouette appeared.
Felix wasn’t relaxed anymore, as he gripped his wooden sword, while walking towards the silhouette.
When he finally saw his face, the outer disciple took a stance. It was different than other disciples’ stance but quite similar. It appeared to be just an advance version.
The Rooted Horizon, huh?
Felix grinned at the outer disciple, Paul, and suddenly dashed forward, his wooden sword swaying, attempting to attack him.
Paul was stunned. He was, of course, knew that Felix must be aware of the stance he took, but he had never expected for Felix to still attack him anyway.
The Rooted Horizon was a grounded stance that absorbed force without meeting it, followed by an immediate counter-cut.
Felix, to be actively engaging with such a powerful stance, seemed to be asking for a quick defeat.
He felt humiliated by Felix’s actions, prompting him to follow up an immediate counter-cut after Felix’s wooden sword was about to reach his shoulder.
He easily evaded Felix’s wooden sword while his counter-cut was about to collide with Felix’s jaw.
If he was successful, he might defeated Felix immediately.
To his surprise, a hard impact stopped his wooden sword, causing him to almost lost his balance.
Once he quickly stabilized himself, he immediately searched for the culprit and was dumbfounded. Felix’s wooden sword had already returned after failing to land a strike at him to parry his wooden sword.
Paul gritted his teeth, causing Felix to smile.
However, Paul suddenly grinned.
A sneaky Wayne arrived behind Felix, jumping while executing the Mist-Splitting Line. It was quite a dangerous attack since it followed the shortest path to reach Felix, while also aiming for Felix’s vital organ.
Just as Wayne successfully landed his attack, Felix reacted quite slow but perfect in timing.
He evaded Wayne’s sword just by an inch and even delivered a counter attack towards him.
However, Wayne, as soon as he foot landed at the floor, immediately pulled himself away from Felix, gazing at the wooden sword that failed to blind him.
His heart thumped. He thought he was about to land an attack on Felix, but not only he evaded it, he almost blinded him.
Wayne gritted his teeth and glanced at Felix.
The way Felix moved his body to evade his attack earlier lingered in his mind.
He’s like dancing around... he’s so unpredictable.
