Chapter 64: Overwhelming Defense Like A Fortress

Wayne couldn’t help but questioned the effectiveness of Mist-Splittine Line.

From what he could remember, not even the other dojos could stop it.

Yet, Felix’s movements were so erratic but precise that he could easily evaded when the chances of landing on him was higher than the usual.

Wayne narrowed his eyes and asked, "Aside from sword technique, you also have a movement technique, right?"

Felix shrugged. "Obviously. I wouldn’t have been confident in defeating all of you without this."

Wayne furrowed his eyebrows.

Perceiving that his fellow comrade was already on the move, he dashed forward to attack Felix again.

As soon as he arrived closer to Felix, the other outer disciples synchronized themselves with him and instantly went as close as Felix in every direction, leaving no chance for evasion.

However, Felix merely consumed energy to amplify his movement technique, easily evading them by moving his body in a different place.

Just as he did so, the five outer disciples quickly followed him.

Felix beamed a smile at them since he was able to get a full view of them. He utilized his energy to enhance his Drizzle Slash, enabling him to block six attacks that headed towards him simultaneously.

His attack was heavy and hard, causing the outer disciples to feel their grip getting sore. They gritted their teeth as they retreated, leaving Paul in the grounded stance to absorb every Felix’s attacks.

Felix merely swept his gaze at them as they disappeared in the mist, while glancing at Paul.

Paul felt quite nervous. He only realized that Felix, after witnessing him facing them head on with seemingly at ease, was difficult to defeat just by himself.

The fact that he almost had Felix earlier was just an illusion.

Felix suddenly dashed at him and attacked him with a swift and precise attack that left him had no choice but to block it with his wooden sword, reducing the effectiveness of the Rooted Horizon.

He couldn’t even find a chance to counter attack as Felix immediately followed with another rounds of attack after their sword just briefly met.

Paul broke into sweats, barely following Felix’s assaults. He was losing his composure and he could barely keep up to the point that some of Felix’s attacks finally landed at his body.

Although not on his vital part and Felix seemed to be holding back his strength, it was humiliating and painful at the same time.

"What’s wrong?" Felix asked slowly while not lowering the momentum of his attacks. "Is that all you can do?"

Paul gritted his teeth and summoned some of the bits energy left to keep up with Felix.

Thankfully, he was able to take a breath now as Wayne and others distracted Felix one at a time.

It was one of the main preparations they had for Felix.

They synchronized so well that Felix failed to remain attacking one outer disciple for quite a long time.

They could take a deep breath by giving each other time to rest by attacking Felix one at a time, while Felix, on the other hand, could not rest at all.

Suddenly, as Jesse was attacking Felix, the latter suddenly increased his speed and strength, overwhelming him to the point he lost grip of his sword from one of their collision as he fell to the ground.

Wayne just arrived and failed to stop Felix from eliminating Jesse.

After their single collision, Wayne retreated and glanced at Jesse, who was still in absolute shocked.

Jesse was frozen, dazing at the wooden sword far from him.

Wayne then slide his gaze towards Felix, who has a stern expression while staring back at him.

Felix placed the wooden sword on his shoulder and said in a relaxed tone, "What now? There’s only four left, but I can still fight against two times of the amount you have."

He chuckled.

Wayne narrowed his gaze towards Felix. From his observation, it seemed Felix wasn’t joking.

His sword technique... his movement technique, they are all so advanced that the Mist-Splitting Line and Rooted Horizon are ineffective against him. The only way to defeat him is for us to develop a sword energy like the inner disciples...

But I’m still far from reaching that state.

At this point, Wayne felt a bit hopeless.

Is there really no way to defeat him with just us at the moment?

He scrutinized Felix closely and noticed he was perspiring... but his breathing was still stable.

He might faked it, but it would come out obvious. In other words, Felix just treated the battle like a warm up.

Five of us against him is just a warm up to him?

What a monster!

He gazed at his comrades and noticed they were a bit tired. He closed his eyes, gritted his wooden sword and continued to attack Felix.

His comrades followed suit—instead of attacking one at a time, they do it by pair.

They didn’t try to conserve their energy anymore, they were going all out.

For the next dozens of seconds, the battle became the battle of attrition.

This was Wayne’s plan to begin with—to exhaust Felix, but if they stretched the battle for a long time, they might be the one to get exhausted while Felix could easily overwhelm them one at a time.

Their chances of winning would increase if they go all out and changed their battle formation.

For the next three seconds, Felix didn’t take a step back at all, defending their endless assaults like a massive fortress.

However, he was quite stunned that their battle formation changed again.

The other outer two disciples seemed to be inviting him to follow them every time they retreated, while Paul and Wayne appeared to be giving ways for him to follow them.

They’re executing their movement techniques, huh?

Felix wanted to know which movement technique was superior to begin with, so he didn’t hesitate to take their bait and follow Earl first.

As soon as he did so, Early immediately executed the Falling Current Step, aiming to steal Felix’s balance.

The way he moved while retreating seemed just simple, but the way he positioned his wooden sword was threatening.

As Felilx finally moved closer to him, as soon as he sank his weight on his last step, he immediately gathered all his weight to his right hand and attacked Felix swiftly with the Mist-Splitting Line sword technique.

Felix was taken by surprised—or he thought so after seeing his expression, but Felix suddenly disappeared...

His central abdomen was then struck by a heavy concentrated force, causing him to spit out his saliva...
