Krisha soon woke up. She glanced at her watch and realized she slept for four hours straight. PengPeng was in her chest, sleeping peacefully.

She perceived an unstable energy radiating from PengPeng, a sign he was still currently undergoing his evolution.

She gently raised PengPeng and placed him beside her. She slowly moved away from him and stood up.

She stretched her limbs for quite sometime. To her surprise, she noticed the quality of the energy inside her body.

Her heart skipped a beat. She then recalled what she dreamed and her face turned to utter surprise.

D-Did I just ascend three minor ranks higher?

Previously, she was at the Awakener Rank 3, but now she perceived her energy was already on Awakener Rank 6. It was simply because of how much her soul expanded. She could now contract another beast pet.

Although it was indeed preferable to greed for another beast pet, any other beast tamer would suggest otherwise, especially if their beast pet’s potential was higher.

After all, the larger the space of their soul, the more efficient the effects of meditation since there were less competition in absorbing energy.

Furthermore, the fact that PengPeng raised his potential to five stars also meant she had to invest most of her time on him. There was also the sword art she had to master.

Krisha fell into deep thought. Unless I could manage efficiency my sword art cultivation and PengPeng while still having enough time left to raise another beast pet, I mustn’t think of getting one.

Krisha concluded. She glanced at PengPeng and her instinct was telling her it would be best for him to slumber in his beast quarters alongside her.

After all, the ice energy her body was exuding was multiple times concentrated than PengPeng’s beast quarters.

Without hesitation, she picked up PengPeng and proceeded to his beast quarters.

Along the way, she recalled Felix and she grinned. I wonder, how far I am to reaching his level? The first opponent he’ll face in the beast sync arena should be me.

Her eyes flashed with determination. She’d definitely challenge Felix next week or another if he was interested in participating in the beast sync arena.

...

It has been officially a week since Felix and Krisha had arrived in the Azure Cleave Dojo. It was also the day where the multimedia team of Azure Cleave Dojo released their weekly news.

The headline—it was mainly about Felix and the mysterious Krisha, who had not participated a single ramble or duel in the arena yet.

Seventy-five percent was about Felix and the rest were about Krisha. The topic about Felix alone covered four pages.

The hard copy was released inside the Azure Cleave Dojo for the disciples to read while the soft copy was released on their official page with a link, for others to get accessed into.

It was currently in the middle of the noon and Felix had just woken up after spending the rest of the night in Moon’s beast quarters while honing his sword techniques.

He was startled awake not by the alarm but the call from his mother.

Barely opening his eyelids, he grabbed his phone, accepted the call, and placed the phone in his ear, facing the ceiling.

"Wha—"

"Son! I just read the news!"

Felix’s muddled mind woke up. He frowned.

"What news?"

"The news released by the Azure Cleave Dojo’s official page! You were the main topic. It’s more about you!

Who would have thought you’d grown stronger quickly? I’m so proud of you, but...

Son, are you doing okay there? I just discovered that you provoked them and most of the disciples comments about you were full of hate."

Felix was fully awake now. He gazed at the open ceiling, with his mind taking some time to process what he had just learned from his mother.

"Son?"

"Wait, Mother. Let me end the call and read the news."

"Later, Son. You have not answered my question yet."

Felix smiled. "There’s no need to worry, Mother. It doesn’t matter if the disciples hate me as the instructors and Master Shen doesn’t feel the same.

I feel welcomed here."

He heard his mother heaving a sigh of relief.

"That’s good to know, Son. Also, I’m really so proud of you. It turned out that the summoning last week was really a blessing in disguise."

"It’s quite early to say, Mother, but yeah, it was indeed a huge blessing in disguise."

"Since you said so, then that confirms it. Also, your father wants to talk with you first, you can read the news later."

"Alright. Pass this to father, then."

After a while, a familiar masculine voice echoed from his phone.

"How are you doing, Son? I just heard you beat the shit out of them."

"Daddy! Stop saying things like that!" His mother’s sulking voice echoed.

The father and son duo laughed.

"I’m doing fine, Father. Don’t worry about me, really. Also, I’ve just visited Mia. I’ll be visiting her again by next month."

"Alright. We’ll be visiting her today, too."

Felix was quite surprised. Only now he recalled it was already the weekends. His parents would visit Mia once per week simply about chatting with her.

After all, they learned from the coma survivor that most of them could hear whoever talked with them, so his parents would visit Mia every week.

A year ago, they does it every day, but now, they does it every week to give themselves sometime to rest from work and also gathered enough information that they wouldn’t stop, mostly his mother, from sharing information about what occurred in a week for the whole day.

Just recalling his last time visit with them made Felix smiled.

I won’t be surprised if Mia would complain a lot about my mothers endless yapping.

As much as Felix wanted to call Doctor Eleanor to ask her about the update on the ritual, he restrained himself.

He doesn’t want to disturb Doctor Eleanor at first.

Will Doctor Eleanor be present later?

Felix wondered.

"Anyway, Son. Don’t forget to update and assure your mother if you have time. It’s quite difficult for me to sleep everytime he asked how you are doing when I didn’t have the slight idea at all."

As Felix heard his mother scolded his father after complaining, he chuckled.

"Don’t worry, Father. I will."
