Chapter 69: Absolute Winter Sovereign

After a while, PengPeng’s body was the first to settle down. The blinding light slowly faded and so was his ability to remain floating.

However, the white dragon stretched his neck and waited below PengPeng to land at his head.

PengPeng instantly fell asleep in Draky’s head, as the latter felt warmth by PengPeng’s body, extremely satisfied.

The man glanced at them and smiled. He turned towards his disciple and noticed the white light began to fade as well.

He knew Krisha’s consciousness wouldn’t return yet since it would take more time to assimilate the knowledge he had bestowed to her.

Hence, the man moved swiftly as he grabbed his disciple’s waist and carried her like a princess.

He turned towards Draky and said, "Stretch your back. I’ll place my dear disciple there."

Draky complied. He laid flat on the snowy floor as the man hopped on his body and placed her body gently.

The scales weren’t hard—Draky could control it so well that it felt like a cushion.

The man proceeded to grab PengPeng gently and placed it beside his master.

They slept quietly above Draky as the man sat beside Krisha, gazing at the empty skies that seemed to have hold countless world from the vast planes that he only could gaze at.

An hour later that seemed like milliseconds from the man, Krisha was the first to wake up.

She opened her eyelids, revealing her lackluster eyes. The moment she regained clarity and she could now remember what had occurred, a sharp pain jolted in her mind.

The man glanced at her and waited for the pain to subside.

He then asked, "How are you feeling now?"

Krisha instantly glanced at her Master and hurriedly stood up.

She then bent her knees and laid her head and body to the floor, seemingly worshipping the man.

"I greet my master, the Absolute Winter Sovereign, owner of the Absolute Zero Immortal Scripture."

The man beamed a smile.

Before he was able to reply, Krisha continued.

"I formally greet, Master Han Yexuan."

The man chuckled. "Even that has been recorded in my scripture? I actually wasn’t aware."

Krisha fell silent, not knowing how to respond.

The man, or Han, said, "The scripture might have stated immortal, which indeed has the capability to help you reach the same level as I am. But even then, it won’t be easy."

Krisha replied, "I understand, Master.

May I ask Master, is there something you wish for me to do?"

"Mhm? Why do you think so?"

Krisha pondered for a while before replying, "I just feel like inheriting your legacy means accepting the heavy responsibility as your only successor."

Han was surprised. He exploded into the hoot of laughter.

Draky was surprised his master was acting like that. He hurriedly twisted his head just to observe what was happening, worried to his master.

Han obviously noticed his beast’s reaction and didn’t react on it.

He instead focused on Krisha, saying, "Of course, it is. After all, your main goal now is to reach the highest stage that my scripture can provide to you. That’s it.

Also, you can’t give this to others as you are the only one who became a formal disciple to me. Not only I have granted you the immortal scripture, even your ice affinity has been perfected to synchronize more of your beast’s awakened bloodline and is now suited to practice my sword art."

Krisha was surprised. She thought there might be a mission that Han wanted her to fulfill, but it turned out, the responsibility Han granted to her was simple, but difficult.

To grow stronger and reached the state where he and the immortal scripture expected her to attain.

Remaining in her position, she wept, hiding her face on the cold snow floor.

Han smiled at her. "You are overthinking things, my dear disciple. My wish for you is simple, grow stronger, that’s it. As for a reason to do so, well, my expectations is surely not enough.

There’s a personal reason you have why you are desperate to grow stronger, right?"

Krisha finally recalled how she treated Felix after being frustrated how slow her progress was compared to him. Her master must have been aware about it.

Suddenly, she wanted to inquire Master Han if he knew Felix.

Han said, "I know it’s tiring to be in that position, so you should sit or stand up properly, my dear disciple."

Krisha immediately corrected her posture and decided to sit. She felt quite comfortable, gazing at her master upward, conveying she was worshipping him, indeed.

Han asked, "Is there something you wish to know about?"

Krisha nodded. "Do you know Felix Hill? It was him, who granted your old sword art, not the one you’ve mentioned."

"Oh, Felix Hill?" Han pinched his chin in amusement. He gazed upward and seemed to be staring at a place that he only could see.

Krisha attempted to gaze at the direction and was quite upset that he saw nothing but darkness.

Han said, "So, that’s the name of the mortal they have chosen, huh?"

Krisha’s ears perked up. She hesitated. "W-What do you mean, Master?"

Han was silent for a while before shaking his head.

He turned towards Krisha and said, "It’s still early for you to know about. Eventually, you’ll learn why is Felix, that mortal, has been chosen.

But, I assume you are one of his closest friends, right?"

Krisha smiled bitterly. "His only closest friend."

Han was amused. "I see. That’s one of the reason why you are here. What I can only say is that, his journey will be filled with perilous obstacles. The whole world rests in his shoulder, that’s how heavy it is.

As his closest friend, you should not let him handle the pressure alone."

Krisha was utterly surprised. Her face turned solemn as she pondered quietly.

So, it’s not just out of luck, huh?

Han continued, "He got called and chosen. I believe it’s not mere coincidence. He must have the potential to carry not only your world but also the vast plane."

Krisha stared at him in a daze, unable to completely process what he had said.

Han simply smiled at her and waved his right hand.

He said, "I’m talking too much. You should return to your world now. Grow stronger, my dear disciple."

Before Draky could even bid farewell to PengPeng, Krisha and the latter vanished.

Draky was extremely displeased to his master that he flapped its wings and left his master’s world...

Ignoring him for a millenia...
