Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 81: As If You Are Born For Battle
Instructor Albert, as soon as he made his announcement, rushed to Nicholas’ aid.
He threw energy drink at Felix to replenish his stamina without looking at him as he crouched beside Nicholas and examined his injuries closely, particularly on his face.
The broken jaw startled him deeply.
Without hesitation, he summoned his beast pet, an ox species, and carried Nicholas as he jumped at his beast pet.
He immediately ordered the beast pet to rush to the hospital immediately. The ox’s snout flared, releasing its breath imbued with fire energy, as it raised its foot, swaying as though it was about to race, and finally dashed towards the direction where its master instructed.
As Instructor Albert left the mists, he shouted, "Ramble is dismissed. We’ll continue tomorrow."
The outer disciples were left stunned. A brief glance at Nicholas on his embrace was imprinted in their minds.
They were in total disbelief. Someone slapped his own cheeks to determine if he was dreaming or not, causing others to be startled awake, as well.
"Unbelievable..." An outer disciple mumbled in a daze.
They agreed with him without hesitation.
They stared intently at the mists, waiting for the victorious individual to appear.
Eventually, an outer disciple, one after another, left the mists. The desire to inquire of what had happened inside intensified after seeing their thrilled expressions, seemingly excited to narrate what they had just witnessed.
As soon as they left the platform, all the outer disciples immediately encircled each of their fellow disciples inside the mists earlier.
The outer disciples wanted to narrate immediately, but they waited until Felix and Krisha left the mists.
Unfortunately, after dozens of minutes left, Felix and Krisha did not appear.
Unbeknownst to them, Krisha had Felix sit in the platform while meditating to restore the lost energy. At the same time, it was also to rest his body after overstraining it.
Krisha wouldn’t be surprised if Felix would feel muscle ache for days to come.
Nevertheless, since he attained Top 15, he didn’t have to participate in the ramble anymore. His focus should be directed at the Beast Sync Arena.
Krisha watched Felix meditated with closed eyes while sitting in the lotus position. He might not need to meditate in the common way, since he had nothing to do, he might as well fasten his recovery.
After half an hour, Felix has completely replenished his energy. He had also restored his stamina, enough for him to walk upright.
Even then, he still felt tired. He wanted to rest on his bed immediately.
He turned towards Krisha and said, "Thanks for supporting me earlier. I was really about to pass out."
Krisha smirked. "I didn’t expect for you to win that way. You got me frozen in that last exchange."
Felix smiled. "I didn’t have a choice but to take a risk. I wouldn’t be able to last long and the chances of winning was slipping away."
"That sure was a calculated risk. You remained calm and composed. It’s as if you are born for battle."
"Thanks." Felix beamed a radiant smile, dazzling Krisha.
Felix finally stood up and stretched his limbs. He felt sore all over his body.
He let out a bitter smile, knowing he might need to rest until next week.
"I will be focusing around of cultivating with Rain and Moon until next week. However, I might invite you to eat together, though."
Krisha nodded. "Okay, I’ll accompany you. I might not be asking you about my sword techniques as I have fully grasped it, though."
"That’s fine. Not everything’s about sword techniques. We can still discus about how to fight with our beast pet."
...
Felix and Krisha chatted for a while until they finally decided to leave the mists. They thought that after Instructor Albert announced the end of the ramble for today, all the outer disciples would finally disperse.
To their utter surprise, they were welcomed by anticipated gazes, especially directed at Felix.
After just half an hour, the outer disciples, who witnessed the battle, finished narrating.
All the outer disciples who heard it were in awe. They couldn’t believe Felix defeated an inner disciple in a close fight.
The way he took a risk also captured their attention.
They wouldn’t dare to risk like Felix if they were in his shoes.
As Felix swept his gaze in the crowd, he noticed Ben among them, staring at him with sparkling admiration in his eyes.
Felix beamed a smile at him as he focused forward and left the platform with Krisha completely.
Ben glanced at the outer disciples and said in a jubilant tone, "Now. You’ve finally acknowledged his strength, huh?"
All the outer disciples snorted.
However, when they glanced at each other, they smiled.
An outer disciple replied to Ben, "That guy’s inevitable. At first, we thought it was just an arrogant statement from him, but now... it might really be possible for him to attain Top 1."
"That’s right!" An outer disciple chimed in, his voice was filled with enthusiasm. "It’s frustrating, but now, we are not his enemies. He’s now fighting against inner disciples. Those disciples, who are looking down on us!"
Ben beamed a radiant smile. "You can feel it now, right? That Felix is like us, hoping to defeat an inner disciple and aim to obtain their ranking. It’s really frustrating that we are reaching our limit and by our fourth year here, we might just graduate without experiencing the privilege of becoming one.
Now, Felix is representing us. Yes, it’s really exasperating that he’s born with talent, but what he did was simply not out of talent alone. It was out of critical thinking and firm belief in himself. He’s not lucky that he gets stronger faster because he summoned an object. It’s also because he deserves it."
His words resonated with the outer disciples’ hearts. Indeed, they were frustrated that Felix was lucky—he summoned an object that helped him grew faster and got instant connection with the most beautiful girl in the city—but what he had shown was to prove himself he does it without overrelying on his luck.
Luck was just a part of a person’s success.
After they realized that, inevitably, they were now hoping for Felix to achieve his goal...
