Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 86: Felix’s Announcement
After Moon and PengPeng had comforted each other from their duel, Moon returned to Felix’s shoulder while Krisha finally stood up—PengPeng was still in her embrace.
They turned towards Instructor Felix, whose expression couldn’t be read.
Finally, Instructor Felix bitterly smiled and said, "You two duel like no other. Beast tamers fighting against each other while their beast pet also having their duel? It’s not surprising but what had occurred was out of my expectations."
He turned towards Krisha and said, "You and your beast pet are exceptional. Unfortunately, Felix and his kitten are just your nemesis. Unless you can overwhelm him while your penguin can control his kitten, you can never defeat him."
Krisha smiled bitterly, not responding.
"Even then," Instructor Frank continued, "Once you breakthrough to Commander rank and your beast pet reaching Rare rank, you can also defeat inner disciples.
I’m curious, just what is the numbers of star your beast pet have? It’s potential is limitless."
Krisha’s bitter smile turned radiant, sparkling in the eyes of Felix and Instructor Frank.
She did not reply to Instructor Frank however, remaining firm of her secrecy.
Instructor Frank didn’t wait long enough for Krisha’s reply, for, once he finally freed from his dazed, turned towards Felix and asked, his tone was eager, "Are you finally ready to fight against an inner disciple?"
Felix smiled, taking him sometime to reply.
"For now, I’ve already decided to fight in the first day of July. After all, the inner disciples’ ranking is monthly based."
Instructor Frank was startled.
He contemplated for a while until Felix continued, "Also, I want to fight them when Moon finally reaches the Rare rank. I’ll be reaching the Commander rank, by then. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
I won’t need to heed on Master Shen’s advice, where I have to use Rain in fighting against inner disciple.
Cold weapon might cause an undesirable consequence."
When he was about to finish his words, he lowered his head, sighing, seemingly feeling ashamed.
Instructor Frank was dumbfounded, so was the outer and inner disciples listening to him.
They only had one thought in mind—he’ll be fighting against inner disciples without his full strength!
Without Rain, Felix was supposed to be less powerful than he already was, and yet, he dared to claim he could still defeat inner disciples.
The outer disciples glanced at the inner disciples present. Currently, there was Nicholas, who was still an inner disciple since the ranking hasn’t been finalized yet for this month—and then four more other, being in Top 13, 10, 9, and 8.
The inner disciples wore heavy expression, while Nicholas was grinding his teeth.
The humiliation Felix brought into him was still evident. Having been hospitalized for days, he swore to take revenge.
His jaws were still aching, the bruises, despite already vanished, were still pulsing, reminding him of the days where Felix deceived him and beat him into pulp.
He grasped his wooden sword tightly.
He already challenged Felix to a duel in the beast sync arena before and embarrassed him after he got rejected.
Yet, the effect was minimal—both inner and outer disciples agreed on his reasoning.
Nicholas even felt more humiliated after Felix assured that he would challenge him first once he was ready.
It only meant he couldn’t reject by then and the chances of him being defeated would only rise.
Hence, he worked hard—listening everyday to Instructor Frank’s lessons and dueled against other inner disciples whenever he had a chance to gain experience—all to defeat Felix.
Unfortunately, he got always defeated by other inner disciples—they were monstrously strong, their beast pet were trained in fighting, coordinating effectively with their beast tamers.
Despite being disheartened for a bit, Nicholas was determined—he already swore himself he would defeat Felix the day the first day of July would arrive.
The other disciples, on the other hand, ruminated differently than Nicholas. They were wary at Felix, especially his beast pet, who was cruel even when she was battling against her friend.
If she was already that vicious, would the life of their beast pet still be guaranteed when fighting Felix?
Furthermore, Felix’s swordsmanship was unmatched—they could only drew a sharp breath whenever Felix executed his sword techniques, including his movement technique.
There might be a chance where Felix wouldn’t reach the Commander rank, but given his growth, achieving the same level as them wouldn’t be surprising.
They contemplated heavily and thought that only Top 5 and above could really stop Felix.
However, if they wouldn’t try battling against him even once, they had an inkling they would regret it for the rest of their lives.
In the end, some of them concluded that they would observe for a while.
The outer disciples, on the other hand, was full of awe from Felix’s announcement. They were already awestruck from the duel earlier and inevitably, they were anticipating of the battle between him and the inner disciples.
They were full of silent cheers for them—though, the inner disciples had already long seen their admiration for Felix.
That was also why they vent their frustrations on them, making their life even more miserable.
Even so, the outer disciples held on and only swore to never hesitate exaggerating the tales once Felix defeated them.
Instructor Frank, on the other hand, had mixed reactions from Felix’s words.
He thought. Master Shen... you’ve really invited a monster in our dojo. Will this really elevate the dojo’s reputation? Or tarnish it in the end?
Instructor Frank was worried—at present, the Azure Cleave Dojo’s reputation has become a laughing stock in the social media after releasing weekly news of their humiliating defeat against a newly beast tamer individual.
Instructor Frank was aware that Master Shen was investing for Felix and the Azure Cleave Dojo, but he was unsure if it was worth it.
As Instructor Frank was lost in thought, he was startled awake from the deafening silence.
He coughed. "I apologize. Anyway, the round is over. Felix won. Since he won against an unranked individual, he won’t be receiving a reward."
Afterwards, with a complex expression, Instructor Frank dismissed Felix and Krisha to continue another round.
Felix and Krisha also didn’t stay long outside the perimeter of beast sync arena as they decided to return to their usual place...
