Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 85: Unfortunate Accident
The duel had only been occurring for the past half minute, but for the spectators, it felt like hours. They held their breath, not blinking, afraid they might miss a crucial moments, causing their eyes to redden.
Felix and Krisha, on the other hand, blinked their eyes, of course. Every time they stepped back, they took the important reset—breathing, blinking, grasping their wooden sword’s hilt tightly.
Yet, it only occurred in a split-second as they immediately clashed with their swords.
PengPeng, meanwhile, was getting closer to his goal. Moon, despite finally wounding him, didn’t realize that PengPeng had already circled around Felix and Krisha, limiting their space.
If PengPeng circled once more, but now, more closer to Felix, it would definitely affect the duel between Felix and Krisha.
Felix realized it. After his and Krisha’s third exchange, with either of them failing to land a successful attack, he ordered Moon in a brief moment.
"Don’t hold back anymore."
Moon’s round eyes narrowed and shaped into a crescent moon. Her fur stood on ends and felt a gushing wave of energy flourishing her entire body.
A surge of strength manifested, causing her to feel stronger than before. It was the result of constant meditation under moonlight, boosting her physical stats.
It was supposed to be passive, but earlier, Moon wasn’t strengthening herself by utilizing the energy that her master taught her.
But now, she was at full strength. Without hesitation, she leapt towards PengPeng at a rapid speed.
PengPeng was greatly startled, he kicked his feet hastily, attempting to increase his speed, but Moon was clearly faster than him.
PengPeng tried to slow down Moon with his Cold Puff, but Moon’s affinity with ice was as high as his, inevitably failing Moon from stopping her in pinning him down.
Moon’s claws caved in on his joints, rendering him immobile.
Krisha was taken aback. Her momentary, split-second reaction caused Felix to swiftly push his sword, stopping it an inch away from her eyebrows.
Felix smiled and was about to talk with Krisha when her eyes, already had been glued at PengPeng, didn’t land on him as she sprinted towards PengPeng.
Frowning, he turned towards Moon and was startled. Blood painted on Moon’s claws half inside PengPeng’s joints.
Although Moon assured PengPeng was one leg away from his grave, Felix was still displeased at how she overdid it.
Perceiving her master’s emotion, Moon instantly pulled her claws, but it only caused the blood to gush out on PengPeng’s lacerated wound.
Moon was a bit startled and hurriedly glanced at Felix with a panic gaze.
Felix sighed and gestured for her to come into him, not before wiping the blood out of her claws.
At the same time, Krisha arrived. She was about to stop the bleeding when Instructor Frank appeared and summoned his beast pet.
It was a tortoise, with a leaf growing out in the middle of its shell. Almost instantly, the leaf glowed and PengPeng’s lacerated wound radiated a viridescent light.
The bleeding stopped and, for the next minute, the wound slowly closed. PengPeng was breathing, never shrieked from the excruciating pain. His eyes were opened, gazing intently at his master.
Deep within his eyes was filled with regret and disappointment rather than agony.
Krisha sighed and, once Instructor Frank dismissed his beast pet by putting him in his beast space, she kneeled and pulled PengPeng on her embrace.
She consoled PengPeng to ease his disappointments and worries for a while. Felix was standing beside her, waiting.
Silence was deafening—the outer disciples and inner disciples, with only the familiar Nicholas was present and Isaac was still absent, had their eyes widened from shock. They were still trying to recover from what they had just witnessed.
Moon’s speed was astonishing—her brutality was even more terrifying. They couldn’t dare to imagine having their beast pets facing against her.
Inevitably, they thought Felix purposely ordered Moon to injure PengPeng, they instantly dismissed it.
Just based on his reaction, it was obvious that it was simply an accident—not even his beast pet could be blamed.
They couldn’t think of an idea on how to stop PengPeng without pinning him down—if they were in Felix’s shoes, having Moon as their beast pet.
They waited in tense silence, waiting on how Krisha responded. They wouldn’t be surprised if Felix and Krisha’s friendship would end because of the unfortunate event.
After Krisha consoled PengPeng, she turned towards Felix, gazing at him with tilted head, and giggled, "It’s 2-0 now. Don’t think that it will end here."
Felix was utterly surprised. He hesitated for a while and finally said, "As a beast tamer, I’m ashamed for failing to control my beast pet earlier. I will scold her later.
Will you let her apologize to PengPeng?"
Krisha shrugged. "What’s there to apologize? Oh well, sure. Don’t think too much of this negatively. If I’m in your position, I’ll feel and act the same thing."
Felix was astonished. He had never expected she was patient even when her beast pet was gravely injured.
Sure, it was clearly an accident, but it was his fault, nonetheless. As a beast tamer, it was really a huge shame for him to fail taming his beast pet completely, especially in controlling her action.
He turned towards Moon and patiently asked her to apologize to PengPeng.
Moon didn’t make apologizing difficult for Felix, for, as soon as he finished ordering her, she instantly leapt and landed beside PengPeng.
Her eyes, having returned to its normal shape, gazed with worries at PengPeng.
She slowly walked and Krisha slowly pushed PengPeng forward, smiling Moon at the same time.
She didn’t want Moon to feel even more guilty, inevitably affecting her performance during their next duel.
When Moon finally arrived beside PengPeng, she licked at the place where she wounded him greatly. Thankfully, no scars manifested.
Instructor Frank beast pet’s healing was more than effective.
Moon meowed and PengPeng responded with his own language. Nevertheless, beasts understood each other.
In the end, Moon clearly heaved a sigh of relief as she pushed her warmth body on PengPeng, making it appear as though she was hugging him...
