Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 92: Anticipation
Even then, Felix wasn’t the type of person to own Guide by himself. Since Guide could also help others with him as a bridge, why would he be greedy enough to stop it?
Without hesitation, Felix asked Guide about the resources needed for PengPeng to consume, and relayed it to Krisha.
While they were walking, he said, "Frostcale Fish, Chill Krill Clusters, and Wind Dried Meat—these are PengPeng’s daily diet. As for its eating window, you, as a beast tamer, should know and observed.
As for its cultivation core materials, let him consume Frost Feather Essence, Coldwind Crystal, and Ice Core at Rare rank. Only upgrade the Ice Core to Unique rank once he reaches past Commander Rank 6.
As for optional booster, use Glacier Salt and Wind Sprout Herb."
Krisha was dumbfounded. She had not expected Felix to suddenly lay out a resource plan for PengPeng.
As a beast tamer herself and a master of PengPeng, it was an insult to her. How could she not know the perfect resource plan for her own beast pet?
She fell into deep thought.
Felix wouldn’t simply act like this unless he knows what he is doing.
She recalled what the Absolute Winter Sovereign described Felix as.
Felix might also be receiving information from the Immortal World on how to raise beast pet properly. Then, I have to follow him... No, the words from the Immortal World.
After she convinced herself, the bitterness vanished.
She nodded, staring at PengPeng.
"Alright. Thank you."
Felix was surprised that he paused on his tracks.
"Did you really believe what I said?"
Krisha shrugged. "Why wouldn’t I? How else could you explain Moon’s exceptional strength?"
"Fair enough."
Together, they walked side by side, attracting attention from the disciples.
They bumped into Ben, who was filled perspiration and visibly exhausted after today’s training.
His eyes lit up when he finally noticed that he was about to walk past Felix and Krisha.
He paused on his tracks since Felix greeted him first with a beaming smile.
Before Felix could initiate the conversation, Ben asked, "It’s finally the first day of July, have you already issued a challenge to an inner disciple?"
Felix shook his head. "Nicholas challenged me before and I’ve already said that I’d be fighting at the beginning of July—the first day. There’s no need for me to issue a challenge either, he’s not an inner disciple anymore."
Krisha giggled. "How arrogant."
Ben’s eyes sparkled. He excitedly said, "I see. I see. I haven’t gotten into Beast Sync Arena since I’m still training at the Mist Courtyard. But, since you’ve already accepted his challenge and set the date, he’ll surely be there."
"Hopefully." Felix smiled.
He was looking forward to fight Nicholas, as well. After all, it was better to fight against an opponent, who hated him deeply. Their desire to defeat him made Felix wonder if being vengeful enough was sufficient for a person to successfully defeat their enemy.
Ben chatted with Felix for a bit, even including Krisha on their conversation from time to time, too.
In the end, he had to take a leave to clean himself before proceeding to the beast sync arena, looking forward to Felix’s battle.
Felix also opened his phone and realized there was only an hour left before the beast sync arena duel would commence.
Without hesitation, Felix and Krisha decided to proceed to the beast sync arena duel.
...
Nicholas was currently training at the beast sync arena. Instructor Frank had just finished instructing them and long left, giving the disciples to train by themselves.
The disciples’ training was simple, observation and keeping up with the changing modular terrain floor.
They’d simply ran around, had a brief exchange with other disciples, before continuing to adapt.
Nicholas glanced at his watch and realized there was only an hour left before the beast sync arena duel would commence.
He left the platform.
Afterwards, an outer disciple, who had been observing him from above, took the initiative to chat with him once Nicholas went closer to him.
"It’s the day. Are you finally ready?"
Nicholas glanced at him and frowned. He wasn’t familiar with him, vexing him.
"Who are you?"
The outer disciple beamed a smile. "Just a fan of Felix. He reached Commander rank a week ago as announced by Master Shen. Though, he didn’t want it to spread outside the Azure Cleave Dojo yet.
I’m asking you again, are you finally ready to fight him?"
Nicholas growled and glared at him. "Why do you talk as if you’re him?"
The outer disciple spread his arms as his fellow friends arrived behind him.
He said in a mocking tone, "His achievement is our achievement. He represents us. So, why won’t we be proud?
Also, you’re dodging the question. You better return and appear here later. He’s only intending to fight only you."
Nicholas trembled. He had not experienced being disrespected like this before, especially from someone who was in the lower ranking than him.
He narrowed eyes, enough to shake the outer disciples’ heart.
He asked, "How about you and I fight instead?"
The outer disciple had long expected his question. Despite having been shaken, he immediately replied, "It’s already set that you’ll be fighting him later. I hope you won’t be a coward and face him."
Leaving his sarcastic words, he turned around and left.
Nicholas’ clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. He had been humiliated after being defeated by Felix.
They weren’t even aware what had fully unfolded. He almost had Felix—only an inch away from defeating him.
However, he hadn’t expected that by the stroke of luck, Felix was able to counter. His victory slipped away from his fingers and he had his jaw broken as a result, causing Instructor Albert to rush him in the hospital.
It was the unforgettable embarrassing moment of his life he wished he’d leave the Azure Cleave Dojo.
But after sometime of pondering and talking with Instructor Albert, he convinced himself to use the defeat as a reason to grow stronger and get back the humiliation he didn’t deserve at all.
He swore to take revenge against Felix.
However, after knowing that Felix had reached Commander rank a week ago and witnessing the tale of him fighting against Krisha before, his intuition was telling him that if they duel again, it wouldn’t bode well for him.
