He toured around the place, moving through the streets where all kinds of people were gathered, and shockingly, they did not look different from them at all. Their clothes were a bit old-fashioned and rough, but their faces, expressions, and even their behavior felt no different from people back on Earth.

The only problem was that he was not able to find their levels. Before coming here, he had thought that he would be able to see everyone’s level, but except for monsters, they could not see any other levels.

It was then he learned that they needed special skills or top-tier physique eyes or something similar to see that.

Yes, people could even awaken physiques and other abilities as talents.

Reign took a slow breath and then walked ahead, searching around carefully before he finally found an inn.

The wooden sign above the door creaked slightly in the wind, and the building looked sturdy but old, with faded paint and rough edges.

"10 days of tradable lifespan for one night stay!"

Reign frowned as soon as he heard that. He had no idea if this was standard pricing or if he was being looted, so he decided to haggle.

After a mind-piercing bargaining session filled with back and forth arguments, the price was finally lowered to 8 days.

"But how do I transfer it!" Reign asked, still unsure as he looked at the innkeeper.

"Just place your hand and think about the transfer amount and then say transfer."

Reign nodded slightly and placed his hand on the crystal kept on the counter. He focused on the amount and then said softly, "Transfer."

The next moment, a bell echoed clearly through the space.

"8 days of tradable Life Span had been transferred."

Reign pulled his hand back slowly, still adjusting to how strange the system felt.

"Don’t you people use monetary units like coins or other."

The innkeeper laughed lightly and shook his head. "It seems you lack some knowledge. It’s okay, I will explain."

He leaned forward slightly as he spoke, his tone turning more patient.

"Unlike you people who come from other world who can kill monsters, gain levels, and trade life span, we can’t gain life span by killing them."

"WHAAAT!" Reign’s eyes widened in shock as he took a step back.

"Then won’t there be a problem if people from our side cause trouble?"

"Haha... How can that be?" the innkeeper smiled calmly.

"We level up by training and we can use lifespan to level up too. Also, that’s temporary. Once we get transported to your or another world, we can level up by killing monsters of that world."

"I see... That’s reassuring." Reign nodded slowly, but then he paused for a moment as something came to his mind.

"About your previous world... How did you all end up here? Did you chose."

"Choose... My foot." The innkeeper spat to the side in anger, his expression turning bitter.

"We were just living out a normal day when a magical orb detonated."

He clenched his fists slightly as he continued.

"We heard a voice saying that our place had been chosen to be part of God’s Gambit. Next moment we ended up here. If not for God’s protection according to which the beginner village can’t be raided, we might not be able to survive."

Reign stayed silent for a moment, absorbing everything.

After that, he talked a bit more to understand the general gist of everything, and then he finally retreated to his room.

It was a simple room with a wooden bed, a small table, and a window that filtered in soft sunlight. Beside the bed was a table lamp that burned oil, as there was no electricity or any modern marvel here.

He walked toward the window and opened it to allow fresh air inside.

The moment he looked outside, he gasped.

Outside, the Beginner Village stretched far and wide with a rustic charm. The houses were made of stone and wood, their rooftops uneven but strong. Small paths of dirt ran between the buildings, and people moved slowly, some carrying tools, others chatting in low voices. There were wooden carts, hanging lanterns, and faint smoke rising from chimneys, giving the whole place a warm but ancient feeling.

Beyond the village, open fields spread out under the sky, and far in the distance, dark silhouettes of forests could be seen.

But what truly captured his attention was the sky.

The sky was vast and deep, glowing with a strange purple hue mixed with a reddish tint, as if dusk and night had merged together. Slowly, three bright moons were rising one by one, each shining with a soft but powerful light. Their glow reflected faintly on the rooftops and the ground, making the entire village look almost unreal.

"What a marvelous scene!" Reign whispered, his eyes filled with awe.

"I wish I had the camera." He sighed softly with a hint of regret in his voice.

During the first transfer, you can’t bring anything from outside except for clothes.

But after conditions are cleared, you can bring magical weapons.

They couldn’t bring anything that wasn’t a magical artifact, so electronics, which were not part of this system, could not be brought here due to the laws.

As for how others got scrap weapons, it was easy. After transport, you could visit the garrison of the City Lord and get basic weapons through bargaining.

Also, support-type classes could get work. For example, his farming class.

His was special, but what could others do with a lousy class? Stepping outside would be a death sentence for them.

They could work on farms assigned by the City Lord and level up their skills, which would eventually lead to leveling up their class.

Shaking his head, Reign immediately looked at the skills he had found.

[Phantom Steps.]

Allows the user to move rapidly while leaving behind afterimages that confuse the enemy. When activated, agility increases by 20 percent, making movements faster and harder to track.

[Berserker]

A skill that allows the user to burst with rapid strength in exchange for stamina. Increases strength by 30 percent by consuming 15 percent of stamina during activation.

"I have infinite talent potential. Both of them are good and useful skills that can help me in the long run."

He muttered to himself while looking at the skill books in his hands.

It was also going to save him money. Also, Reign felt that their future potential would be huge once they evolved further.

Without wasting more time, he grabbed the two skills and consumed them.

Swish!

The skill books disappeared instantly, and an influx of memories weaved through his head, making him close his eyes tightly as the knowledge settled within him.
