Love You for the Rest of My Life
Chapter 2167 - 2171: What Do You Take Me For?
Di Mingchen made dinner and called her to eat. She drowsily opened her eyes and found Di Mingchen’s gaze on the agreement.
"Um, let’s eat first." She scratched her head, trying her best to avoid it.
"Okay." Di Mingchen retracted his gaze and looked at her, a smile spreading across his lips.
"You should freshen up first, I’ll get the bowls and chopsticks ready." Di Mingchen suggested.
"Alright." Nangong Ran turned over and got out of bed.
She casually grabbed one of Di Mingchen’s shirts and went to the bathroom. Di Mingchen served the dishes, filled the bowls with rice, and neatly placed the bowls and chopsticks on the table.
She moved quickly and soon came out of the bathroom.
Her petite body was wrapped in one of Di Mingchen’s large white shirts, her fair legs long and very sexy, her hair adorably tousled, her features pure and unblemished.
Di Mingchen looked at her, his eyes blazing with fiery passion.
"Xiaoran..." Di Mingchen impatiently pulled her into his arms, his sensuous lips about to kiss her, but Nangong Ran dodged away.
Di Mingchen was stunned at first, then his face gradually darkened, becoming terribly unsightly.
"Xiaoran, what do you mean?" Di Mingchen finally couldn’t hold back and asked, "Are you not letting me kiss you anymore?"
Di Mingchen stared at her like that, seemingly on the verge of rage.
Nangong Ran felt a stabbing pain in her throat, but her face showed little emotion as she didn’t answer.
After two seconds of silence, she simply said, "I’m hungry, let’s eat first."
Just as she turned around, Di Mingchen grabbed her hand with some force, making it hurt a bit.
"Answer me first!" Di Mingchen was evidently a bit angry, pulling her to face him, forcing her to meet his eyes.
"Why, indeed?" Nangong Ran looked at him, her expression somewhat bewildered.
Di Mingchen frowned.
"I suppose I’m tired of it." Nangong Ran suddenly said, looking at him with a blank expression devoid of any emotion.
Di Mingchen was instantly stunned, like being struck by lightning, his face showing deep shock, then a piercing pain spread instantly.
Tired of it?
He silently mulled over those two words, the fire in his heart extinguished, leaving only bewildered confusion.
"What do you mean?" Di Mingchen asked again after recovering.
"The literal meaning, perhaps." Nangong Ran replied, still without expression, then she took a deep breath and said, "Second Brother, I think I’m tired of it. I pursued you initially just because you ignored me, you were just playing around with me, but when it came to getting married, I realized that I only liked that kind of ambiguity back then."
After hearing her words, Di Mingchen found himself exceptionally calm, calm enough to only ask, "So what?"
"So let’s break up." Nangong Ran said more calmly than him, like a decision she had thought over for a long time.
For a moment, Di Mingchen couldn’t believe his ears, what was she saying?
She said she wanted to break up with him?
An uncontrollable fury surged from his chest, like a volcanic eruption, instantly consuming him entirely.
"Break up?" Di Mingchen laughed, a laugh more sorrowful than crying, then he asked, "Nangong Ran, what have you always treated me as?"
Nangong Ran did not answer, nor did she dare to look at him, sadly lowering her eyes, silent.
Di Mingchen, however, suddenly lifted her chin, his whole handsome face as hard as iron, saying each word slowly, "Nangong Ran, what do you think feelings are? Something you can casually fling around? You force me to love you because you want to, and discard me when you no longer do? What have you taken me for all this time? A toy?"
