Lana crashed through a parked car hard enough to flatten it completely before flipping backward and landing cleanly on both feet.

Fire still covered her body.

The vampire calmly looked down at his burned arm.

This time flames exploded outward from both her hands at once.

Twin streams of blazing fire tore across the battlefield like dragons unleashed from hell.

The vampire leaped upward instantly.

The flames passed beneath him and melted the street completely.

Cars caught fire immediately.

Streetlights bent from the heat.

But before he could fully stabilize in the air Lana appeared above him.

Her fist smashed downward.

The vampire crossed both arms to block but the impact still drove him straight into the ground hard enough to create a massive crater.

Concrete erupted upward everywhere.

Lana landed lightly at the edge of the crater while fire circled around her body beautifully.

Then suddenly the vampire burst out of the smoke.

Fast.

Too fast.

His fist slammed into Lana’s face.

BOOM!

For the first time she got sent flying.

Her body smashed through a concrete pillar before skidding violently across the ground.

But Lana immediately stood back up.

Blood dripped lightly from the corner of her lips.

Then she smiled.

Actually smiled.

"Oh you’re fun."

The vampire in white tilted his head slightly.

"You are stronger than I expected."

Lana rolled her shoulders once before flames intensified around her body again.

"You talk too much."

She raised one hand.

Then the entire battlefield changed.

The burning fires scattered around the mansion suddenly moved.

Every flame.

Every burning car.

Every spark.

Everything surged toward Lana at once.

The vampire’s eyes sharpened slightly.

The flames spiraled around her body violently before condensing into massive rotating rings of fire behind her back.

The temperature skyrocketed instantly.

Even Liam narrowed his eyes now.

She’s serious now.

The vampire moved first this time.

The ground exploded beneath him as he shot toward Lana like a bullet.

But the moment he entered her range Lana snapped her fingers.

The fire rings behind her exploded outward.

FWOOOOOSHHH!!!

Massive walls of flame surged toward him from multiple directions.

The vampire smashed through the first wall.

Then the second.

Then the third.

But each layer burned hotter than the last.

By the time he reached Lana smoke rose from his body.

Lana’s knee smashed upward into his ribs immediately afterward.

Crack.

The sound echoed sharply.

The vampire got launched sideways through the air.

Lana chased him instantly.

She grabbed his face midair with one burning hand and dragged him violently across the ground.

The street melted beneath them.

Buildings caught fire from proximity alone.

The vampire suddenly grabbed her wrist and twisted hard.

Lana released him immediately and spun away just in time to avoid his kick.

The kick landed on the ground instead.

The entire road split apart.

Anya stumbled backward upstairs from the vibration.

"What are they..."

She couldn’t even finish the sentence anymore.

This level of power didn’t make sense.

The vampire attacked again with brutal speed.

His movements were cleaner than the wolves.

More precise.

Every strike aimed directly for lethal points.

But Lana’s control over fire made her unbelievably difficult to approach.

Every time he got close explosions of heat forced him backward.

She fought like someone born for combat.

Smooth.

Aggressive.

Deadly.

Her flames responded instantly to her thoughts.

The vampire finally managed to grab her shoulder.

Then his fist drove toward her chest.

The blast launched both of them backward in opposite directions.

Lana landed first.

The vampire moved like white lightning around her while launching devastating strikes from every angle.

Even Lana started getting pushed backward now.

One punch smashed into her ribs.

Another struck her thigh.

Another brushed across her jaw.

Anya panicked instantly.

"He’s winning!"

"No," Liam said calmly.

"Watch carefully."

Lana suddenly stopped retreating.

Instead she closed her eyes briefly.

The vampire appeared in front of her again with another devastating punch.

Lana caught it.

The vampire’s eyes widened slightly.

"I caught you."

The vampire tried pulling back.

Then finally crashed into a third building at the far end of the street.

The entire structure collapsed on top of him.

Flames swallowed everything instantly.

Silence.

Complete silence.

Everyone stared at the burning wreckage.

The heat from the attack still rolled through the air.

Even Liam looked impressed.

Lana stood breathing heavily while flames slowly danced around her body.

Smoke rose from her skin.

Her eyes stayed locked on the destroyed building.

Waiting.

But nothing moved.

No sound came out.

No figure stood back up.

Only burning fire remained.

One of the wolves swallowed hard.

"Did she..."

Another stared wide eyed at the collapsed structure.

"There’s no way anyone survived that."

Anya slowly looked toward Lana in disbelief.

The blast had been horrifying.

No human being could possibly survive that.

Even Liam stayed quiet while staring ahead carefully.

The tension around the battlefield began easing.

Because after a blast like that...

Everyone thought the vampire was dead for sure.
