Mated to A Rival Alpha
Chapter 223: I’m Gonna Show You Crazy
[CALINDRA]
"Shit, they’re here," Daehyun said to Jihoon when they heard the war cries.
They were loud but the swords slicing down the Calindra wolves was too heart-wrenching. It wasn’t a sound that any of the Calindra elites would ever get used to.
With his sword in his hands, Jihoon looked at his brother one more time before they rushed out to join their warriors. It was obvious that there wasn’t room for negotiation and certainly, there wasn’t room to try and make good of the promise to hand over Yanna.
Maybe that was a strategy they would be using next, right?
While Jihoon and his brother were fighting the Incayon warriors who had come at them, Kim Rania and the misfits had already made it to the pack house.
Kaia and Dalrae had gone to the dungeons to check if there were prisoners there even though they were counting on one particular prisoner.
Paloma and Han Seong were with the other warriors in the pack house, slaughtering their way into the mess, and everyone they could get their hands on. They hadn’t come to negotiate. They had come to kill them all. It was that simple.
The instructions were to make sure that all the warriors were down. The only people they weren’t to kill were Jihoon, Daehyun, and Alpha Taeho.
Of course, Yanna too since she was coming with them, but damn. It was a brutal sight and it would take. A lot of time for the survivors to get over this particular one. But if there were any survivors at the end of this.
"Kill every last one of them save for the three. Those are mine," Rania said when she had met the warriors for the last meeting earlier. Here and now, Rania, Oshita, and a bang Wook were headed to the alpha’s wing.
They knew that that was the one place where Daehyun, Jihoon, and Alpha Taeho would be waiting for them. It was the expectation but then when they got to the Alpha’s office and wing they didn’t find anyone there. Instead, they realized they had walked into a trap.
Before they could even have an understanding of what the traps looked like, the first bomb went off. Thankfully, Chang Wook was quick on his feet because he grabbed Rania and Oshita and created a protective barrier around them.
But that didn’t make the heat from the blast any more bearable.
"Fuck," Oshita breathed when the third blast went off. These people had really been prepared, huh?
"Are you both hurt anywhere?" Chang Wook asked as he looked at the duo that were with him in the barrier.
He knew that this was just the start of many and he was mad that they had tried to blow his sister up. He was mad that the cowards had tried to blow up his sister and he wasn’t about to compromise.
And so he walked out of the barrier, making sure his sister and Oshita were safe. He didn’t push them away because he knew that they would want to join him in the fight and this was their fight against whatever was coming their way.
It was just unfortunate that they had gotten to this point because of what Jihoon had done. And now, someone had to pay the price for it.
"They want to blow things up? I’ll show them what it means to blow things up," Chang Wook said angrily before he triggered a series of lightning strikes outside and within the pack house walls and then set fire to the whole office making sure to shield their team that was in the pack house.
Kaia wouldn’t let them be hurt in any way, Chang Wook wouldn’t let that happen in any way, and Han Seong sure as hell wasn’t going to let anyone on their team get hurt, no matter what they were about to face.
It wasn’t easy doing this and it wasn’t daily that they had to face a truth so cruel and a truth that made them question so much, but right now, it wasn’t the time to think.
"Everyone, shield yourselves!!" Chang Wook said and instantly, the immortal spell that had been cast on the Incayon team took effect, creating mini barriers thanks to Kaia, Chang Wook, and Han Seong combining their powers in the respective places and making sure that none of their people was hurt.
It didn’t matter who was doing what right now.
The only thing that they needed to do was to make sure that Jihoon got the brunt of it all. Oh, but Chang Wook was burning down everything. Even the walls that had secrets in them were getting burnt.
Of course, it was expected of every pack to have secret spaces where they would hide their pack secrets and rules in case of war so that the enemies wouldn’t find them, but Chang Wook was smart enough to know that that kind of shit would be in the alpha’s office and the pack house in itself.
That made the whole fiasco a little easier and even as they were still in the pack house, they didn’t feel like they were being overwhelmed by the traps anymore.
"Run! Rani, Run!!" Chang Wook said once he was done with the pack house. And together, they rushed out of the house, though this time, Chang Wook, Kaia, and Han Seong were quick to create three portals for their teams to get out.
Thankfully it had just been the six of them in the goddamned pack house. This right here was their definition of everything needed to do. And they had done it. But that didn’t mean that they could sit back and relax.
The war had just begun and they were slowly overtaking the defenses of Calindra.
"We got Yanna," Kaia said, confirming that their target had been acquired.
"We burnt everything down where we were," Paloma and Han Seong said when they reunited.
"We took out everyone in the pack house. I guess that leaves us with joining the warriors," Rania said happily like she had achieved something that no one would ever be able to achieve.
Expectedly, when they came out of the burning pack house, they were surrounded by Park Jihoon, Daehyun, and Alpha Taeho along with other Calindra warriors. It was something that wasn’t even surprising anymore and Kim Rania was here for it.
This was the battle she had been waiting for for so long, but as they stood there and saw the angry faces of the trip, they knew they had hit the perfect nerve. Maybe it was time to hit another, right?
"Hello, Taeho," Kaia greeted as he walked towards the alpha that was revered greatly by the Calindra waves.
Of course, they believed that the former alpha had so much experience and could help them deal with everything that they were facing, but Alpha Taeho had just seen the kill squad that had come for them, and this time, even he was scared.
"Kaia Seto?" Alpha Taeho asked, the surprise so evident in his voice like this was impossible.
"Goodbye Taeho," Chang Wook said sinisterly to the alpha before he nodded at Kaia, who broke the former alpha’s arms, melting them along with the sword that he was holding so terribly that by the time Kaia was done melting the alpha’s arms, alpha Taeho looked like a jug with a missing arm.
"No. No. Noooo!!!!!" Jihoon cried out.
"Oh, shit," Yanna spoke into the night, and her voice got Chang Wook’s attention.
