Mated to A Rival Alpha
Chapter 224: Well, He Fucked Around
[CALINDRA]
Like an old friend, darkness had shown up in Calindra in so many forms. The warriors were being slaughtered by an immortal army, one that had chosen not to be merciful, an army that had led the battle of the broken soul.
In the middle of that madness, in the middle of the chaos that was, were people whose smiles had long left the establishment. People that were angry and people that only wanted one thing. Blood.
"No. No. Noooo!!!!!" Jihoon cried out when he saw his father’s arms being melted along with the iron swords he had been holding.
It was a different kind of pain and even watching was making the watchers feel so much pain. But even in the middle of that, the misfits just stood there, bored as fuck as they watched the alpha be tortured.
It was something that hadn’t been expected and no one had ever tried, but then Kaia Seto wasn’t just anyone. Kaia Seto was a man who could do whatever he wanted and right now, Kaia Seto had gone all-feral.
Rania who could have stopped him was just staring with a smile on her face as her mat cried into the night, his cries getting mixed with the cries of his father, a man who was in immense pain.
If this was the kind of suffering that Rania had planned for Jihoon, then she sure as hell was getting what she wanted. But this wasn’t even the beginning of the madness that she had come with.
None of them would ever get out of this alive. It wasn’t like there was much to be done because the misfits had made their decision.
They would leave Calindra in ruins.
"Please... Stop," Jihoon tried to plead with Rania when he saw that the woman was right there watching with a smirk on her face.
She looked like she was enjoying this, and right now, Jihoon hoped that the mate bond would be some sort of motivation for her, but Kim Rania wasn’t going to be motivated by a bond she despised so much, and a bond that she had spent her past seven years hurting from.
The only thing she wanted with Jhoon right now was to make sure that he felt the pain that she wanted to give him.
There was so much bad blood between them and if they weren’t careful, they would be doomed, but what else could be more dooming than the fact that his father was crying out in pain?
"Hello, Jihoon... I didn’t know you were a cryer," Oshita said coldly, even though it was obvious that he was teasing the man.
They were loving this broken version of Jihoon. Of course, they were.
They had seen Rnaia in pain more than once.
They had watched her helplessly try to reach out to her own sanity when the pain had been unbearable.
They had seen the girl curl up in pain and yet each time she had been determined to make her life simpler.
She hadn’t once tried to go after the man who was giving her a hard time, no. She had been patiently planning and now that she had the chance, maybe there was not much that she could do, but what if?
"Am I the only one who finds his cries annoying?" Paloma asked and Jihoon looked at them.
He knew that Paloma was always an enemy of Incayonand yet as the lighting strikes lit up the sky, thus brightening their werewolf sights, as the moon had gone so far and life faded in the distance, he was slowly releasing things that he hadn’t thought possible.
"Hold on, let me light it up for you," Kaia said as he cast a spell on one of the fallen Calindra warriors, a man who was hurting and was probably a hundred heartbeats from crossing over to the underworld.
Kaia used him as a source to light up the night despite everything that was happening. And so the warrior cried out in agony as his body lit up, with Kaia not caring that the man was still alive when he lit him up.
Alpha Taeho had gone into shock and had fallen to the ground next to his son who was still reeling from the shock of what he was seeing.
They were with the world of the West people and right now the only thing he could do was to wish that there was someone who was willing to save them, but was there?
"Oh, shit," Yanna spoke into the night, and her voice got Chang Wook’s attention. He remembered that voice and now that Kaia had been so kind to give them light, he could see that it belonged to the woman who had been walking with him at the festival.
"You? Why are you here?" Chang Wook asked, as he walked towards her, the smile on his face as he realized that he knew someone in the madness after all.
However as soon as his smile had graced his face, so did the smile fade when he realized that the woman was in chains, harmful magical chains, and Kaia was holding the leash tightly, not to mention, Dalrae looked like she could wipe the ground with Yanna’s face.
It was a realization that had clearly caught Chang Wook off guard and he retreated instinctively, making sure to put his sister behind him to protect her from the woman he was seeing right now.
Surely this couldn’t be right, yeah?
The woman he had seen at the festival looked like a good person but now that they were here, Chang Wook let the darkness take over him as he stayed beside his sister, ready to attack anyone who so much as tried to hurt her.
It would be game over for them on so many fronts and right now the only thing Chang Wook could manage was to want to kill the woman.
But was this the right time for him?
Was this really the time for them to try and make sense of shit that they wouldn’t be able to understand sin one steering anyway?
Maybe the universe was one beautiful bundle of chaos, but goddamn, it was sickening to watch the fact that everything they had known, was slowly proving to be a lie, save for the fact that Rania had been wronged and her justice was something that they all had to assemble and fight for.
"Yanna Petrova, the stupid-ass hybrid wolf who makes my blood boil. I heard you were strong, woman. Heard that you had the power to command armies. How about you command one and make them follow you to wherever, huh?
"How about you tell him to come after us, now that we’re all here?" Rania taunted as she walked over to where Yanna was.
Chang Wook wanted to stop her, but he knew that she had been waiting for this moment.
"And hello, mate," Rania greeted Jihoon, this time she didn’t whisper or try to hide that truth, no, she was facing him and their truth. No matter what happened, this was something that she couldn’t run away from. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The moon goddess had given her a choice and she had to act on it or let everything slide, but the disrespect that she had been served by the whole realm because of Jihoon had been too loud.
It was only fair that they made things a little more interesting.
"Alpha, we murdered all the Calindra warriors, and left their bodies for the animals of the night. What do we do next? Should we go abc or prepare a torture chamber for the dumb hybrid?" Kylian said right when Rania was making her way to Jihoon.
Oh, but this was golden, even as Jihoon’s eyes widened in shock, the reality hitting him like he had never imagined before.
Then again, he had fucked around with the wrong girl and it was only right that he found out the consequences of playing with that who he shouldn’t have.
"You murdered all the calindra warriors?" Jihoon asked and Kyian just smirked at him.
"Yes. including the ones that were keeping guard on the West. Only the women and children were spared," Kylian said with pride and Jihoon felt his heart sink for the thousandth time in the past ten minutes.
"Burn the bodies," Rania said with contempt as she looked right into the eyes of the man she was mated to.
