Medical and Martial God - Chapter 466: This Mistress Is So Fierce
Cao Ting stared at Jiang Hui in astonishment. In all the time she had known him, this was the first time he had ever been so manly.
To think he would dare tell her to scram!
Seeing the commotion, the waitstaff and diners all looked over. The previous wave of customers had already finished their meals and left, so this new group was unaware of the conflict between Ye Xiu, Cao Ting, and Jiang Hui.
But the waitstaff knew.
They looked at Ye Xiu with mocking amusement. So, this is what happens to kept men. They never come to a good end.
"You started this. Aren’t you going to do something about it?" Ye Xiu asked, ignoring Jiang Hui and looking directly at Cao Ting.
Cao Ting shrugged. "You’re on your own."
Faced with Jiang Hui’s retaliation, Cao Ting abandoned Ye Xiu without a second thought. Of course, the main reason was that she had already realized she could never win Ye Xiu over and had decided to give up. Since she was giving up, Ye Xiu was no longer her concern. Even if Jiang Hui beat him to death, it would have nothing to do with her.
The waitstaff was stunned. This woman is ruthless! To avoid Jiang Hui’s revenge, she just ditched the man she started keeping moments ago.
They looked at Ye Xiu with sympathy, already picturing him beaten to a pulp.
"You really are a heartless woman," Ye Xiu sneered coldly.
Jiang Hui, however, was delighted. Cao Ting must be scared of me. That’s why she dumped this guy.
He gloated, mocking Ye Xiu, "Kid, you just got picked up and then dumped. That 100 million sponsorship fee? Poof, gone! You must be feeling so bitter and full of regret right now, wishing you’d left sooner, huh?"
Ye Xiu chuckled dismissively. "A mere 100 million might seem like an unattainable fortune to you, but to me, it’s just the leading digits in my account balance."
"Pfft!" Jiang Hui and his two friends burst out laughing.
Cao Ting, the waitstaff, and the other diners were left speechless, silently cursing Ye Xiu for his ill-timed bravado. He’s about to get his ass kicked, and he’s still trying to act tough? What an idiot!
"You’re the biggest braggart I’ve ever met, but no matter how much you talk today, you won’t escape this beating," Jiang Hui mocked.
"I’m in a good mood and don’t feel like fighting. I suggest you think twice," Ye Xiu advised calmly.
"You’re still putting on an act!" Jiang Hui exploded with rage and turned to his friends. "Get him! I’ll treat you to a good meal afterward."
"That’s what we were waiting to hear!"
His two friends laughed. One of them, a youth with a buzz cut, walked up to the table and threw a punch at the still-seated Ye Xiu’s face. The other one didn’t move. Taking down a pretty boy like this doesn’t require both of us.
Jiang Hui smiled cruelly. This is the price for trying to steal my woman.
Cao Ting’s expression was as calm as still water, completely undisturbed by the fact that Ye Xiu was about to be beaten. The waitstaff and diners watched with eager anticipation, especially the staff, who were thrilled at the thought of the kept man getting his due. People like him never get a good end!
"Sigh. I really didn’t want to bully trash like you."
Ye Xiu remained seated, picking up a single chopstick with his right hand. As the buzz-cut youth’s fist flew toward him, Ye Xiu deftly tapped the youth’s wrist with the chopstick.
CRACK!
The youth’s wrist was brutally snapped by the single chopstick.
"AAAAH..."
The buzz-cut youth let out a scream like a pig being slaughtered.
Jiang Hui, his other friend, Cao Ting, the diners, and the waitstaff all gasped, their eyes fixed in shock on the youth’s dangling right hand. The color drained from Jiang Hui and his other friend’s faces as they realized they had bitten off more than they could chew.
Amidst her shock, a look of disbelief crossed Cao Ting’s face. She was the most knowledgeable person present, aside from Ye Xiu himself. She knew exactly what it meant for someone to effortlessly snap a man’s wrist with a single chopstick.
A Martial Artist! He’s actually a Martial Artist!
Regret washed over Cao Ting. If she had known Ye Xiu was a Martial Artist, she would have stood by his side instead of abandoning him. She and the Cao Family had just missed a golden opportunity to befriend a Martial Artist!
The waitstaff was flabbergasted. After their shock subsided, they looked at Cao Ting with amusement. She must be kicking herself right now.
"Stop wasting time. Both of you, come at me together," Ye Xiu said, slowly rising to his feet and pointing at Jiang Hui and his remaining friend with the chopsticks in his hand.
"Ah!"
The two screamed in fright and immediately turned to run.
"Trying to run now? A bit late for that, isn’t it?"
Ye Xiu snorted, flicking his wrist. The two chopsticks shot out like arrows from a bow, piercing through the left knees of Jiang Hui and his friend.
"AAAAH..."
The two men collapsed to the ground, howling in agony.
"You only deserve to mess with trash like them," Ye Xiu said coldly to Cao Ting. He left two hundred yuan on the table and walked out under everyone’s stunned gaze.
Cao Ting’s face was a mixture of shame and anger, her eyes filled with deep regret as she cursed herself for being so blind. At the same time, she finally understood why Ye Xiu had rejected her. A dignified Martial Artist like him would naturally look down on a woman like her.
Just as Ye Xiu walked out of the restaurant, Gong Jin called.
"Young Master, several hundred members of the Long Family have arrived at the Long Family Manor. I’m not sure if the Long Master is among them."
Oh? So they’ve finally arrived?
A cruel smile touched Ye Xiu’s lips. "If the Long Master is there, he’ll call me."
The words had barely left his mouth when ’Long Xiaoyun’ called. Ye Xiu quickly ended the call with Gong Jin and answered.
An authoritative, elderly voice came from the phone.
"Is this Ye Liangchen? I am the Long Master."
"I am Ye Liangchen," Ye Xiu replied calmly.
The Long Master said, "I’m already at the Long Family Manor. If you’re not busy, come on over."
"Alright." Ye Xiu hung up. This one had better not be another fake.
He walked briskly toward the parking lot. From a distance, he saw a scantily clad young woman taking selfies next to his Maserati.
As she posed, she spoke into her phone, "Got a new car again, just picked up this Maserati. What do you all think of the color?"
Ye Xiu was astonished. Did I just run into a fake socialite? She’s using my car to film a video and flex?
He approached her. "Hello, beautiful."
The young woman glanced at him. "Can’t you see I’m filming? Get lost."
"I can help you film," Ye Xiu offered.
"I have my own hands, I don’t need any help. Stop bothering me and get lost," the woman snapped impatiently before turning back to her phone, smiling sweetly as she continued to describe ’her’ new car.
"Alright, please hurry up then," Ye Xiu shrugged, having been rebuffed.
"Whether I’m fast or slow is none of your damn business! What? You saw a pretty girl and decided to hit on me, hoping to get my number? I’ve seen plenty of broke losers like you. Scram! A poor slob like you could never catch my interest."
Ye Xiu grew annoyed. "Miss, this is my car."
