Chapter 1091: Vampiric Charm

As Anthony was about to open the door and step out of the room, the Blood Queen’s voice echoed, "Wait."

Her words caused him to halt almost unconsciously in his steps, he turned around and faced her as though wanting to see and hear what she would do and offer this time, his expression calm yet faintly curious.

But what his eyes met stunned Anthony; the Blood Queen he was seeing no longer resembled the same Blood Queen he had known moments ago. The cold, domineering ruler had seemingly vanished, and in her place stood someone entirely different, someone who now embodied the essence of a seductress.

She walked forward with calm, silent steps as though she were a cat stalking its prey, every movement deliberate and controlled. Her figure, hips, and waist were subtly accentuated as her Vampiric charm, which she had always suppressed beneath layers of authority and restraint, was now unleashed at full force as she approached Anthony with quiet confidence.

The Blood Queen’s thoughts were simple; at the end of the day, Anthony was merely a twenty-year-old youth, the same age as Tiara. Surely, he was still inexperienced in this adult area and would still respond to his carnal desires, unlike seasoned veterans who had long mastered control over their impulses... well, aside from the Pervy Sage who remained infamously obsessed with Mitchelle.

As the Blood Queen and one who possessed the Royal Grade Bloodline, Elara’s vampiric charm was beyond extraordinary; it was something that defied conventional standards. She was already dangerous enough with her suppressed charm and overwhelming beauty, but now... anyone who laid eyes on her in this state would feel an irresistible urge to approach her, to please her, to obey her without question, as though her presence alone demanded submission.

Many Vampires utilized their Vampiric Charm to manipulate situations to their advantage depending on the circumstances; however, the Blood Queen, throughout her entire existence, had never once needed to resort to such methods like other vampires. After all, she was royalty by birth, and the world had always bent to her will without resistance.

Of course, she did not intend to sleep with Anthony; her goal was far simpler, she only intended to charm him, to subtly influence his mind and emotions. That was all she required.

But at the end of the day, Anthony was completely immune to all forms of influence-based abilities and skills, whether they were mental, emotional, or spiritual in nature. And beyond that, even with her Vampiric Charm operating at its absolute peak, the Blood Queen still paled in comparison to the one who held Anthony’s heart, Vega.

"Resurrect him, and I will give you anything you want," the Blood Queen spoke seductively, her voice carrying an almost hypnotic cadence as her hands moved toward Anthony’s chest and shoulder. She intended to make physical contact, knowing that touch would further amplify the potency of her charming abilities. However, before her hands could even graze him, they froze in place as Infinity halted her movement entirely, preventing her from advancing even a fraction further.

The Blood Queen frowned deeply; she could not sense any direct manipulation of space, yet she could clearly tell that Anthony was restraining her through some form of spatial control. This realization alone confirmed one thing, her Vampiric Charm had completely failed. She, the most beautiful Vampire within the Blue Planet and the entire Vampire Domain, had failed to charm someone... and not just anyone, but a Human.

"Elara Bloodmoon," Anthony spoke, this time addressing her by name rather than her title, his tone calm yet firm, "while I admire and appreciate the lengths you are willing to go for your son, unfortunately, I am not so easily charmed," Anthony stated as he met Elara’s blood-red eyes without hesitation. "Besides, I am in a relationship with someone who is far more beautiful than anything your Vampiric Charms could ever hope to match." As he spoke, he snapped his fingers, and an illusion materialized beside him, displaying a flawless image of Vega.

"You can try again when your charms reach this level of beauty and grace," Anthony added casually before dismissing the illusion with another subtle motion. Without lingering any longer, he turned once again, his intent to leave unchanged.

Indeed, Anthony was a man deeply and hopelessly in love; he seized every opportunity, no matter how small, to showcase Vega as though she were his most treasured possession.

If the Blood Queen had not known that Anthony himself was exceptionally handsome, she might have doubted that someone of such beauty could even exist in reality.

Anthony was not angered by the Blood Queen’s attempt to influence him mentally and manipulate his desires; as he had already acknowledged, he understood her motives. She was doing all of this for her son... she was nothing more than a desperate mother pushed to her limits.

As he was about to leave once again, the Blood Queen spoke, her voice carrying a different weight this time, stopping him once more.

"Why wouldn’t you help?" she asked, unable to restrain herself any longer, even though she was fully aware of how foolish and dumb the question sounded.

Anthony turned toward her once more and replied with the same indifferent tone, "Why should I help?"

The Blood Queen remained silent for a moment, her gaze locked onto Anthony’s eyes as he countered her question with one that was far more logical and grounded in reality.

After a brief pause, she spoke again, "I see... it seems Tiara told you, didn’t she?" her eyes narrowing slightly as suspicion began to surface.

"Told me what?" Anthony asked calmly; although he already knew what she was referring to, he wanted her to say it explicitly, to ensure there was no misunderstanding between them.

"The engagement," the Blood Queen stated plainly.

"Indeed, she told me about the engagement and her predicament," Anthony replied without hesitation, making no attempt to conceal the truth.

The Blood Queen’s eyes narrowed further as she processed his confirmation. "Isn’t it awfully coincidental that the very day you meet Tiara and learn about the engagement is the same day my son dies?" she added, her voice steady but laced with underlying suspicion as she stared directly into Anthony’s sky-blue eyes.

"Elara Bloodmoon, if you have an accusation to make or a question to ask, stop circling around it and say it directly. I may not be a Ruler like you, but I am quite a busy man," Anthony replied, his tone remaining unchanged.

"Did you kill my son, or were you involved in it?" the Blood Queen asked without hesitation, her bloodlust slowly beginning to seep into the surrounding air, causing a subtle but noticeable shift in the atmosphere.

Anthony raised an eyebrow slightly as he sensed the rising bloodlust; without missing a beat, he responded, "So, you invited me here to resurrect your son, but because you cannot afford to pay for my services and I am unwilling to act out of pity, you resort to accusations instead," he stated calmly, his words sharp yet controlled.

"You didn’t answer my question, Null Anthony," the Blood Queen pressed, her bloodlust intensifying as the chamber itself began to tremble, the plates of food Anthony had been eating earlier rattling violently against the table.

When she had posed the question regarding Anthony’s involvement in her son’s death, she had already activated a lie-detection ability, all she required now was his answer, one simple response to confirm whether her suspicions held any truth or were nothing more than baseless doubt born from grief.
