Chapter 1148: A Test
Earlier, when Anthony was with his parents and grandparents, after he had used his Blood Servant ability to upgrade their talents and abilities, he had used his Authority Of Information at the time to find out when the God and his flock of birds would invade. At that moment, he had received his answer, which he relayed to his parents and grandparents, but he obtained something more... this particular meeting.
Anthony had been genuinely shocked when he received the information. If someone had told him that a God and a Demon would work together and even hold a meeting, he would have never believed it. Yet this was the Authority Of Information, an absolute source. He could not doubt its credibility, no matter how absurd the revelation seemed.
So, Anthony had rushed to meet up with his subordinates to inform them of a few crucial details. He had also planned to meet up with Vega, Aura Nova, and the rest, since they were all coming out of their seclusion today according to the information provided by the Authority Of Information. However, he did not wait for them, as his Authority Of Information informed him that the meeting was already starting, hence his haste and immediate departure without delay.
Anthony had observed everything from within the folds of the Void, his presence completely concealed, his expression faintly shifting with subtle intrigue as he listened in on the meeting. Of course, he could have simply used the Authority Of Information to learn everything directly, but Anthony was not the type of person who cared to understand why his enemies acted the way they did. Their reasons did not matter. It would not change the fact that they were his enemies, and for him, death was always the only answer, not mercy born from understanding or sympathy derived from their motives.
Anthony had originally planned to merely watch and leave silently. However, since the two of them were openly discussing sealing him, he decided to make his presence known. Not only that, he would even give them the opportunity to attempt it, right here and now.
"You both have no answers to my question?" Anthony asked as he remained suspended midair, exuding an effortless aura of confidence. "You know, I only made my presence known so you both can implement your sealing plans right here and now," he continued, his tone calm yet subtly provocative, his body slowly descending until his feet touched the ground with deliberate grace.
The Demon King was the first to recover from his shock. Spreading his hands slightly with an exasperated sigh, he spoke, "Since you listened to the meeting, I’m sure you already know we didn’t go into detail on how to seal you, so technically, you aren’t giving us the chance to," he said, shrugging lightly as his composure returned almost instantly.
"We meet again, Azrath Kaelthar Morvanyx Doomrend," Anthony replied as he walked toward them as though they were long-acquainted companions rather than enemies. His gaze then shifted to the God, who had remained silent throughout, merely observing. "We finally meet, almighty God," his voice carried a teasing undertone.
The God’s projection did not respond. He simply stared for a brief moment, and in the very next picosecond, he vanished. His body reappeared directly before Anthony, who was still walking toward them, his golden-white fist moving like an illusion as it shot forward toward Anthony’s face.
His intent was unmistakable, to kill.
Anthony stared at the incoming attack as space itself collapsed around it with its movement. With an indifferent expression, he raised his hand, extending a single finger, and caught the attack effortlessly, halting it completely in its tracks.
There was no explosion, no shockwave, no sound, nothing. Anthony had stopped the entire force of the attack with a mere finger, an attack capable of destroying the Rogue Planet from the inside out.
The God’s projection’s ’eyes’ flickered with recognition. This strike had merely been a test, to confirm whether Anthony was truly as powerful as the Demon King had implied. After all, not even his strongest Angel could survive a punch from his projection.
"Although the attack was weak, I won’t judge, since you are only a projection at the moment," Anthony said with a faint smirk. Before the God’s projection could react or even attempt to pull back, a violent force slammed into his gut.
The God’s projection’s ’eyes’ widened. He had not seen the attack, had not sensed it, he did not know whether Anthony had kicked, punched, or used something else entirely. All he felt was the overwhelming force and pain crashing into his body. In that instant, inertia claimed him, and his body was sent hurtling backward, tearing through everything in its path.
The God’s projection stared down at his own body in disbelief. His entire lower torso had been obliterated by an attack he had not even perceived. In the very next moment, his lower half regenerated completely in less than a blink of an eye.
His gaze snapped back toward Anthony, but Anthony had already lost interest in him. His attention had shifted entirely to the Demon King, who now stared back at him with a wild, almost exhilarated smile.
With a mere thought from the Demon King, millions of his projections appeared instantly, each wearing the same grin. Without exchanging words, they surged forward with a speed that surpassed even the speed of light.
Anthony simply raised his hand.
With that single motion, existence itself seemed to freeze under his will, as though he stood as the very origin of all things.
"I didn’t take you as someone who gangs up on people, Mr. Doomrend," Anthony said calmly. With a slight wave of his hand, the projections vanished, their forms dissolving into dissipating smoke as though they had never existed.
At that precise moment, the Demon King seized what he perceived as an opening. Closing the distance between himself and Anthony at a terrifying speed, it seemed as though the very concept of distance had ceased to exist for beings of their level.
But before he could launch even a single attack, the same fate that befell the God’s projection struck him, an attack too fast to follow, too fast to comprehend.
All he felt was the impact.
With a thunderous boom, the Demon King was slammed into the ground, his projection skidding to a halt beside the God’s projection, his lower torso completely blown off as well.
Anthony walked forward calmly toward the chairs where they had once been seated. He sat down casually, crossing one leg over the other, his posture relaxed as though none of what had just occurred required any effort.
"So, are you both going to lie there all day?" Anthony asked in a calm, teasing tone. "I’m sure you have an invasion to plan and a Galaxy Core to find," he added, his sky-blue eyes gleaming with quiet confidence and undeniable dominance.
