Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 666 - 665: Your Dad Is a Devil
"I’m sorry!" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Wyatt said it once more.
Simon understood, and he raised his hand to gently rest it on Wyatt’s shoulder, "It’s not your fault!"
The one who should apologize is him. He’s the one who brought Wyatt back to The Sterling Family and let Wyatt recognize June Kane as his mother.
Thankfully, he didn’t raise him under June Kane’s name from birth, and he kept raising him himself afterward. Otherwise, June Kane would have laid hands on Wyatt.
Thinking about this, another thing came to Simon’s mind. He turned his head to look out the window. The Ford Family’s issue couldn’t be delayed any longer.
Not long after, they arrived at the community where Wyatt now lived.
Simon helped to bring Wyatt’s things down first and waited at the entrance for him to park the car and come over.
The phone rang, and Simon, without noticing whose phone it was, answered it.
"Wyatt, are you free this Saturday? Come over to my place for dinner."
The familiar voice reached Simon’s ears, and he froze, gripping the phone tightly.
"Wyatt!"
Claire Sullivan, on the other side, couldn’t hear Wyatt’s reply, so she added another sentence.
"Auntie’s cooking personally, are you coming!"
"He has social events Saturday night!"
Simon answered for Wyatt, and Claire hearing his voice, didn’t continue.
After a long silence, followed by the "beep beep beep" sound of the phone hanging up, Simon held the phone for a long time until Wyatt returned.
"Dad."
Wyatt came over and looked strangely at what his dad was doing with his phone.
Simon came to his senses, handed the phone to Wyatt, and then turned around and went inside.
Wyatt watched Simon’s straight back, feeling that his dad seemed to be acting unusual.
Who called my phone?
He lowered his head, ready to check the call records when a new call came in. Without waiting for Wyatt to speak, Claire’s angry voice came through.
"You said you were unavailable, so you’re unavailable!"
"Simon, you’ve taken him away for so many years, can’t I see him?"
Claire became flustered upon hearing Simon’s voice and hurried to hang up the call.
After hanging up, she reconsidered, feeling uneasy. Why should she fear him! He was the one who wronged her! She called back intending to harshly scold Simon to maintain her composure.
"Aunt Claire!"
After Claire finished scolding, Wyatt called out, not understanding her words, "Is there something you need from me?"
"Oh!"
Claire did not expect that so quickly, the person on the other end switched from Simon to Wyatt. Her tone instantly softened.
"Wyatt, Auntie wants to invite you for dinner on Saturday, Serena will also come."
"If you can’t make it, Auntie will be very sad."
Previously Simon refused on Wyatt’s behalf, so Claire deliberately played the victim. She didn’t believe she couldn’t manage her own son.
"I’ll see." Wyatt remembered he had a dinner appointment Saturday evening.
"Wyatt, if you can’t come, Auntie will let Serena not come either."
"Sigh, I didn’t treat Serena well before and wanted to find a chance to make up for it, maybe next time." When Claire mentioned Serena Sullivan, Wyatt didn’t hesitate and said, "Then I’ll reschedule things."
The Saturday night dinner is quite important, he can have other directors attend or rely on Simon.
Serena’s matter is the most important.
"Alright, alright!" Claire, hearing Wyatt agree, rejoiced and replied repeatedly, "You’re much easier to talk to than your dad."
"Your dad is just a cold-blooded demon!"
Claire couldn’t help but criticize Simon on the phone.
