Seeing the bodyguards coming in, June Kane’s legs went weak, and panic overtook her heart. She screamed shrilly and struggled desperately, but her mouth was stuffed with a cloth. She was no match for the bodyguards and was taken out just like that.

Ethan Grant turned around and pushed Serena out, her peculiarity making everyone uneasy.

"Serena."

Watching Serena leave, Claire called out again worriedly. "Did June Kane do something to you?"

Serena did not answer, nor did she turn her head. She used her own strength to move the wheelchair forward.

Ethan followed quickly, stabilizing the wheelchair.

"Serena, what’s wrong?"

Claire turned her head to look at Felix Lockwood.

"Ask her tomorrow."

Felix said gently to Claire, "Let me help you clean up the dishes first."

Without waiting for Claire’s reply, Felix went in to clean up.

This place felt like his home, and he worked diligently. After Claire closed the door, watching Felix busy at work, it dawned on her that they were the only two people in the room.

"Felix!"

She wanted to drive him away.

Felix laughed softly at her, as if he hadn’t heard, and picked up items from the table to take to the kitchen.

Claire watched his busy figure and sighed lightly, deciding to let it be.

Ethan pushed Serena downstairs. A gust of wind blew from outside, making Serena shiver; Ethan hurriedly took off his jacket and draped it over Serena.

"Serena!"

He called out, and then without further ado, continued pushing Serena out.

After walking for a while, Serena looked up at the streetlight at the entrance of the community and called, "Ethan."

"I’m here."

Ethan responded softly.

"Ethan, the sea water is very cold."

Serena looked around as the streetlight illuminated the surroundings, her voice light. Ethan flinched, looking down at Serena in shock.

"I felt like I was about to die in there."

Yes, just a little more and she would have drowned in the sea.

Ethan understood. He knew Serena was rescued from the sea by Mr. Xu and that she nearly died.

And this was all due to someone deliberately pushing Serena to the seaside.

"She was the one who pushed you over."

Ethan asked in a calm voice.

"Yes!"

Serena admitted.

"She purposely pushed me to the seaside. She wanted me dead."

Serena’s lips showed a faint smile, "Then, the wheelchair turned over."

"I fell on the beach, and she kicked me into the sea step by step."

"I couldn’t escape; I could only let the sea water cover my nose, my head."

"Ethan, compared to the car accident four years ago, I am more terrified."

"The feeling of facing death is truly so terrifying, so terrifying."

Serena’s voice turned lighter. She had thought the Kane Family orchestrated it all, but she didn’t expect June Kane to take action herself.
