Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 682 - 681: She Won’t Die
"She really wants me dead."
Ethan Grant listened, his entire body tensed, filled with hatred.
"Just kill her, forget it!"
Ethan Grant gritted his teeth and said harshly. He took out his phone, ready to tell the bodyguard not to bring her ashore.
Serena Sullivan stopped him, "No!"
It’s not that she’s soft-hearted, she just doesn’t want Ethan to do something he shouldn’t because of her.
Also, letting June Kane die so easily would be too merciful.
"Alright!"
Ethan agreed. Whatever Serena says, goes!
He maintained a composed face, lifted his head and saw a car parked across the street, speaking coldly and ruthlessly, "But we can’t let it go just like this!"
Since June Kane is capable of making attempts on Serena Sullivan’s life, the car accident four years ago might also have been orchestrated by her.
"Serena."
The car door across the street opened, Wyatt Sterling ran over, shouting to Serena Sullivan.
Seeing Wyatt Sterling, Serena’s face brightened with a smile.
"You didn’t leave?"
She thought Wyatt had left earlier.
After all, June Kane is his biological mother; Serena doesn’t want him to oppose her for June’s sake.
"I was waiting for you."
Wyatt replied with a smile. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Serena looked up across the street and saw the man in the car, she was taken aback.
Mr. Sterling is actually here?
When did he arrive?
"Dad’s here to pick me up."
Wyatt replied. He had come out early and saw Mr. Sterling in the car parked opposite as soon as he reached the door.
Mr. Sterling arrived so quickly, Wyatt suspected he hadn’t gone anywhere and stayed watching here all along.
"Oh."
Serena responded indifferently.
"Where did you take her?"
Wyatt followed up, he and Simon Sterling had seen June Kane being taken into a car.
Although the lighting was dull, they clearly saw June tied up with her hands and gagged.
Serena raised her head to look at Wyatt but didn’t answer.
"Will anything happen?"
Wyatt asked, worried not about June Kane but whether Serena’s actions might cause trouble for herself.
This thought was indeed strange and made Wyatt feel he shouldn’t think this way.
No matter how unpleasant June is, she is still his mother!
"She won’t die." Ethan Grant replied coldly for Serena.
Knowing June nearly killed Serena, Ethan showed no friendliness towards Wyatt.
"Serena, let’s go back to Deepwood."
Ethan said while looking once more at Simon Sterling inside the car across the street.
Could Simon truly be unaware of the things June had done to Serena?
"Ethan." Serena wasn’t planning to leave; she also looked towards the car across the street, "Push me over."
Ethan looked at Serena in confusion, puzzled about why Serena wanted to see Simon.
Despite the confusion in his heart, he listened to Serena’s words anyway.
Simon Sterling hadn’t left, he saw Wyatt leaving the estate, hurriedly drove over, and upon hearing Wyatt say June was gone, he was even more uneasy and waited outside.
Wyatt said that Claire Sullivan’s home had Ethan Grant and Felix Lockwood inside.
These two men against June Kane, whatever had happened to Claire and Serena, he still decided to stay and wait.
Waiting until June was taken out in disgrace, waiting until Ethan was pushing Serena over, then he extinguished the cigarette he had just lit.
Separated by a window, father and daughter faced each other, Serena asked, "Mr. Sterling, do you have a moment?"
"Yeah!"
Simon Sterling nodded. If his daughter wants to talk, no matter how important the matters at hand, they would have to wait.
"Alright!"
"Nearby should be places like cafes..."
Simon suggested, but Serena interrupted him, "I don’t have time to chat with you for that long."
