Julian Bishop leaned against the railing, gazing into the distance, and said, "Sometimes, looking at different views can ease the restlessness inside."

Seraphina Vaughn took a bite of bread, sensing there was more to Julian Bishop’s words: "What do you mean?"

Julian Bishop turned his head to look at her and said, "No special meaning, I was talking about myself. Always busy with work, it’s rare to have a chance to see such scenery."

Seraphina Vaughn teased lightly, "Even you, the great sage, can feel restless?"

"What do you think? Suddenly, some girl shows up saying she’s pregnant with my child, and even before the child is born, she wants to sever father-son ties. Who can stay calm with such things happening?"

"You seem pretty calm to me, still have the mood to watch the sunrise."

Julian Bishop replied without thinking: "That’s because you’re willing to come with me. If you were hiding from me, I naturally wouldn’t have the mood to watch the sunrise."

Seraphina Vaughn looked at Julian Bishop thoughtfully, took another bite of the bread in her hand, then turned her gaze to the distance, and said nothing more.

She slowly realized that Julian Bishop seemed not as bad as she had imagined.

Not just his courteous appearance, but his steadiness didn’t seem like an act; he genuinely held the demeanor and spirit of a mature man.

He could even plan to bring her to watch the sunrise...

Seraphina Vaughn considered herself an adventurous person who loved traveling, having explored numerous beautiful landscapes across the country. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Watching the sunrise didn’t sound particularly special, but it was indeed the first time she had seen such a view.

Watching as the orange-red glow slowly pierced through the white mist, rising gradually over the sea.

The waves rhythmically crashed against the cliffs, and the sunlight reflected on the sea mirrored the movement of the water.

In the past, she always enjoyed looking at more visually stimulating scenery, rarely taking the time to appreciate such views calmly.

In the silent mountains, watching the morning sun rise over the sea, the warm and gentle morning light scattering in the hills, provided a brief moment of tranquility to her restless heart.

Julian Bishop withdrew his gaze from the distant view, turned to Seraphina Vaughn, and said, "Opportunities like this are rare. This is my first time watching the sunrise, and with you, it feels like it will be a special memory."

Seraphina Vaughn was taken aback for a moment, glanced at Julian Bishop.

Though she didn’t say it, at that moment her feelings mirrored Julian Bishop’s; she too thought it was quite special...

"Are you hungry? Let’s go down the mountain for breakfast?" Julian Bishop suggested, taking a few steps toward the parked car.

Seraphina Vaughn turned her head to watch his back and suddenly spoke, "I’ve become really curious."

Julian Bishop stopped and looked back at Seraphina Vaughn: "Hmm?"

Seraphina Vaughn took two steps closer to him and asked, "We didn’t know each other before this, and you don’t really know me. You said you’re willing to marry me probably just because I’m pregnant with your child, out of responsibility rather than affection. Don’t you think that’s unfair to yourself?"

Julian Bishop suddenly smiled and said softly, "There are plenty of unfair things; real life is interesting because of many unexpected events. Besides, I don’t think there’s anything unfair about this. I feel that since you’re willing to have my child, I’m also willing to share in this responsibility with you. As for whether it’s as a couple or as friends, I respect your decision."

Seraphina Vaughn frowned upon hearing this, genuinely puzzled: "So you don’t have any ideas of your own? Like what kind of future you want, or who you want to spend your life with. Just respecting my decision and letting me decide your future, don’t you feel that’s doing yourself a disservice?"
