Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 915: The Right Girl
Julian Bishop didn’t expect Seraphina Vaughn to consider things from his perspective.
As for the question Seraphina raised, Julian hadn’t really thought about it himself.
He answered honestly, "To be honest, before you came to find me, I didn’t have much of a plan for my future. I was doing the same things day after day, content with the status quo, without wanting to make changes."
"What about now?"
Julian was silent for a moment, then replied, "The time we’ve known each other isn’t long, and we don’t know much about each other. So as you said, at least for now, it’s more out of responsibility, feeling that you shouldn’t have to bear all this alone."
Seraphina wasn’t the type to enjoy empty flattery, so Julian’s sincere answer actually added some goodwill in her heart.
If Julian had said he fell in love at first sight or expressed any romantic feelings, Seraphina would have thought he was frivolous and unreliable.
However, although currently there are no feelings between them, considering the current situation, it’s impossible for Julian to completely ignore the child and pretend none of this happened.
After getting in the car, it drove down the winding mountain road.
Seraphina gazed out the window in thought for a long time before withdrawing her gaze to look at Julian, saying, "I admit I had some prejudice against you before. For now, you seem straightforward, but I still stick to my view and don’t want to just get by with you because of the child."
Julian glanced at Seraphina, patiently listening as Seraphina continued, "I’m also giving you the right to choose. You can walk away immediately, and no matter what happens in the future, we won’t have any more interaction. Or you can choose to take on the responsibility of jointly raising the child with me as friends."
Upon hearing this, Julian replied, "Then you should know what my choice is."
Seraphina realistically said, "The child hasn’t been born yet, and there are many things you haven’t experienced. Maybe after the child is born, you’ll find it troublesome and want to escape. If you have such thoughts, don’t feel guilty. Tell me early before the child can remember, and I’ll give you a chance to reconsider."
Julian reacted, smiling slightly as he asked, "Does this mean I’ve passed this week’s assessment in advance?"
Seraphina snorted lightly and said, "Even if this week is over, you definitely won’t give up easily. I don’t want to live a life of hiding with the child. Anyway, now I’ve made it clear, if you want to raise the child, I won’t stop you. If you don’t want to, I won’t force you. I can raise the child on my own."
Julian asked, "And what about you and me?"
"You and me?" Seraphina replied without thinking, "What are you thinking? At most, we’re only half friends, with no other personal feelings. Just treat this like a job."
Julian chuckled lightly and said, "Don’t speak too soon. No one can predict the future."
"The unpredictable part is on you. Anyway, our only connection is the child. In other matters, we stay out of each other’s business. If you meet a suitable girl in the future, go ahead and marry and start a family. I’m making it clear now, so don’t say I held you back later."
Julian smoothly drove the vehicle downhill, his face without a smile but his eyes full of it. He glanced at Seraphina and asked casually, "What if that suitable girl is you?"
