Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 932: I Could Forget Anyone but Not You
Shane, holding Audrey Sutton, pushed the stroller towards the restaurant and comforted her, saying, "This is also a unique experience for him. If he can’t regain his memory, living like this isn’t so bad."
Audrey Sutton asked a bit sentimentally, "What if he regains his memory? How hurt will he be to realize he’s been deceived by so many people all this time."
Shane said, "When he regains his memory, he’ll think about things with a mindset different than before. This isn’t something you should worry about."
As he spoke, Shane lightly tapped Audrey Sutton on the head and said, "Don’t rack your little brain over such complicated matters. When the time comes, he’ll have to face it himself, no matter what happens."
Audrey Sutton sighed and said, "Actually, I feel his feelings for Vanessa are really deep. He forgot who he was, but he still remembers Vanessa in his mind. He must have remembered something when he saw Vanessa that day, which is why he’s now looking everywhere for her."
Compared to Audrey Sutton’s melancholy, Shane seemed much more rational and said, "Whatever fruit he sows, he must taste it himself. Didn’t you always scold him before? Now why are you so soft-hearted?"
Audrey Sutton took a deep breath and said, "Miss Jennings told me a lot about Miles Sterling. His family environment wasn’t good, which led to his extreme personality. It’s actually his personality flaws that left him unable to express emotions, which brought things to where they are now."
Shane said, "Those are all his own issues to figure out. Don’t worry yourself about it."
Audrey Sutton pouted and looked at Shane, saying, "Speaking of which, he’s your schoolmate. You don’t seem to have any sense of camaraderie at all."
Shane chuckled teasingly, "Even as his schoolmate, I can’t get into his head and solve his problems for him. He still has to rely on himself in the end."
Then, changing the subject suddenly, Audrey Sutton asked, "Tell me, if you lost your memory, would you forget even me?"
"Do you want to hear the truth or a lie?"
Audrey Sutton pouted and quickened her pace, saying, "I don’t want to hear anything; there’s bound to be nothing good to say."
Shane continued pushing the stroller and caught up with her, smiling faintly, "I might forget everyone, but I’ll never forget you."
Hearing this, Audrey Sutton felt quite happy inside, yet she complained, "Sounds like a lie."
Shane smiled indulgently, watching her sulking back.
He stopped pushing Anna, intentionally waiting for Audrey Sutton to walk a few more steps ahead before calling out to her, saying, "Where are you going? The restaurant’s over here."
Audrey Sutton turned back and glared at Shane, then turned and walked back towards him, heading straight into the shop without waiting for him.
Shane entered with Anna, saying with a smile to Audrey Sutton’s back, "Anna is hardly as childish as you are." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Sitting in the stroller, Anna seemed to understand someone was talking about him and turned to look at Shane, then smiled foolishly at him.
Seeing the drool hanging from Anna’s mouth, Shane frowned disdainfully and called out to Audrey Sutton, "Wipe your son’s mouth."
Audrey Sutton turned back, gave Shane a glance, took a tissue out of her bag, and stuffed it into his hand, "Wipe it yourself, I’m going to order food. I’ll choose dishes you don’t like!"
Shane just smiled without saying anything, squatted down, and wiped Anna’s mouth.
