The bar’s location is not conspicuous, and it’s not very large.

As Miles Sterling approached the entrance, the doorman greeted him amiably: "Mr. Sterling? It’s been a long time since you last came. Are you here to see Boss Jennings?"

Miles Sterling hesitantly nodded, and the doorman immediately responded enthusiastically, "Alright, please have a seat over there. I’ll go upstairs and call Boss Jennings for you."

On the third floor, Bianca Jennings sat alone on the terrace, flipping through the book in her hands by the light of the table lamp.

Jasmine Lucas walked straight in, sat boldly opposite Bianca Jennings, grabbed the bottle, and started pouring herself a drink while she said, "Miss Jennings, Lewis just told me, that young master from the Sterling family is here looking for you."

Bianca Jennings paused her page flipping, then looked up and asked Jasmine, "Miles Sterling?"

Jasmine nodded, "Yeah, he’s waiting for you downstairs. I saw him hobbling on a crutch, maybe he got beaten by some tigress at home?"

Bianca Jennings glared at Jasmine, then put down her book and went downstairs. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

She hadn’t expected Miles Sterling to proactively find his way here.

Perhaps he’s regained his memory?

When Bianca Jennings walked up to Miles Sterling, he didn’t recognize her at all, and only then did Bianca realize she was overthinking.

It wasn’t until Bianca sat opposite him that Miles Sterling gave her a scrutinizing look with unfamiliar eyes and politely said, "Hello, Miss Jennings, right?"

Bianca was slightly surprised by Miles’s politeness but soon smiled faintly, nodded, and asked, "How did you find this place?"

Miles Sterling didn’t immediately answer, staring at Bianca as if judging whether she was trustworthy.

Bianca asked again, "Did you come alone? Does your wife know?"

Miles Sterling asked puzzledly, "Do you know her?"

Bianca chuckled helplessly, "Hard not to know. She misunderstood my relationship with you and came looking for me a few times, quite relentless."

Listening to Bianca, Miles Sterling felt a bit confused: "What kind of relationship do we have?"

Bianca thought for a moment and answered, "Sort of a doctor-patient relationship."

"Doctor-patient? What ailment did I see you for?"

Bianca thought and replied, "An ailment of the heart. Forgetting the past might be the best medicine for you. So you don’t need my treatment anymore."

Miles Sterling felt bewildered and directly stated his purpose: "I want to know about my past. Please tell me everything you know."

"Does your wife know you’re here?"

Miles Sterling frowned slightly, "My matters have nothing to do with her. You don’t need to worry about her."

"She probably doesn’t want you to know about the past."

Miles Sterling, increasingly impatient, emphasized, "I said this is my own matter!"

Bianca Jennings didn’t respond immediately, called for two drinks, then asked Miles Sterling, "What do you want to know?"

"About my past with Vanessa."

Hearing such an answer, Bianca wasn’t surprised.

Bianca asked, "Do you remember Vanessa? How much about her do you recall?"

Miles Sterling: "I only know she was part of my past, but I can’t recall exactly what happened."

"Things from the past were tormenting for both you and her, it’s better off forgotten."

Bianca’s words made Miles genuinely angry, and he intensified his tone in displeasure, "Why does everyone say that? No matter if the past was good or bad, it happened to me. I have the right to know, and decide what to do now, instead of running away!"
