Chapter 127: Chapter 104: THE UNEXPECTED DRIVER — SILENT ANXIETY

Sitting alone on the park bench, Jiang Wen stared down at her phone screen, re-reading the message she had received just moments ago. A small crease formed between her brows, a look of confusion crossing her face.

"Huh... that’s strange," she murmured softly to herself, tilting her head to the side. "The way this message is written... it feels different. It doesn’t sound like Mom at all. The words she used... the tone... it’s not like her usual way of speaking."

She puzzled over it for a few seconds, feeling a nagging sense of unease, but then quickly shook her head, trying to brush the thought away and find a logical explanation to calm her own suspicion.

"Ah, never mind... I’m probably just overthinking it," she reasoned inwardly. "She was resting earlier, right? I woke her up when I called her. She must have been in a hurry, or maybe she was still half-asleep and typed it quickly just to reply to me. Yeah... that must be it."

In truth, the real reason she had asked her mother to pick her up was simple: after running frantically from the house all the way here, her legs were aching terribly, heavy and stiff from the long, fast walk. Every step felt painful and exhausting. On top of that, this park was located in a rather quiet area, and hardly any taxis or public transport passed through these roads. She had been sitting here for quite a while and hadn’t seen a single vehicle she could hail. So, asking her mother for a ride was the only sensible choice.

Not long after she replied, she saw a familiar car slowly approaching and pulling over right in front of where she sat. It was definitely her mother’s car.

Jiang Wen immediately stood up from the bench, her legs protesting slightly with a dull throb, and walked over. She reached out and opened the front passenger door, leaning in slightly as she spoke politely, her voice soft and courteous, exactly how she always spoke to her mother.

"Thank you, Mom..."

But the words died instantly in her throat, cut off completely before she could finish.

The moment she looked toward the driver’s seat and saw exactly who was sitting there, her entire body froze stiff as a board. Her eyes went wide, bulging in pure shock, her mouth falling open slightly in disbelief, her breath catching painfully in her chest.

Sitting there behind the wheel was not her mother.

It was him.

The man. The massive, tall, powerful man she had seen just a short while ago in her mother’s bedroom. The stranger she had seen completely naked, kneeling over her mother’s body. The man with that terrifying, monstrously large organ hanging between his legs—the sight of which was still burned vividly into her mind.

Jun Hao noticed the instant change in her expression. He saw her eyes go wide, the shock that washed over her face, and the way she stood there frozen, staring at him as if she had seen a ghost. However, he completely misunderstood the reason for her reaction. He smiled calmly to himself, thinking, She must be surprised and shocked because she was expecting her mother, but found a stranger instead. That is natural.

He lifted his large hand and waved gently at her, his expression friendly, composed, and completely natural, showing not a single hint that he knew anything.

"Hello there," Jun Hao greeted her in a deep, steady, warm voice. "You must be Jiang Wen, right? I am Jun Hao... a very close friend of your mother’s. Come on, get in. Your mother sent me to pick you up. She isn’t feeling very well right now, so she couldn’t come herself."

But Jiang Wen barely heard his words properly. She was standing there, half-leaning into the car, her mind spinning wildly, confused, terrified, and incredibly panicked. Hearing his deep voice, seeing his handsome face and that powerful physique up close again... it all brought back the memory of exactly what she had seen.

And worse—completely without her control, her eyes kept instinctively drifting downward, straight toward his lap, toward the space between his powerful thighs, exactly where she had seen that huge, terrifying thing hanging earlier. Even though he was wearing trousers now, her imagination ran wild. She couldn’t help but picture it in her mind again: the massive length, the unbelievable thickness, the way it swayed heavily... she couldn’t shake the image. She kept glancing down, her eyes darting nervously from his face to his lower body and back again, her face turning pale and flushed all at once.

Jun Hao watched her strange behavior closely. He noticed how she wasn’t moving, how she seemed to be staring blankly, and especially how her gaze kept dropping down toward his legs or lap, her expression a mix of fear and strange fascination. He had absolutely no idea why she was acting like this, or what she was thinking. He simply thought she was being shy, or perhaps confused and nervous about seeing an unfamiliar man.

He decided to play it cool, pretending not to notice anything odd at all, acting as if this was just a normal meeting between a family friend and a daughter. He waved his hand again, this time right in front of her face, gently breaking her trance.

"Hello? Jiang Wen?" he called softly, smiling warmly.

"O-oh! Y-yes! I... yes! Hello!" Jiang Wen stammered loudly, jumping slightly in surprise, snapping out of her daze. She blinked rapidly, shaking her head to clear her thoughts, her heart pounding like a drum in her ears.

Jun Hao looked at her with concern, tilting his head slightly. "Is everything alright? You seem a little out of sorts. Are you not feeling well yourself?"

"N-no! No, no, no! I’m fine! I am perfectly fine!" Jiang Wen replied quickly, almost shouting in her panic, her voice trembling slightly. She forced a stiff, awkward smile onto her face. "I’m okay... really."

With great reluctance and extreme nervousness, she finally forced herself to step fully into the car. She sat down on the passenger seat right next to him, her body tense and stiff as a board, sitting right on the very edge of the seat as far away from him as physically possible.

"Put your seatbelt on, please," Jun Hao said gently, smiling that charming, calm smile of his, completely unaware of the turmoil raging inside the young girl sitting beside him.

Jiang Wen hurriedly grabbed the belt and clicked it into place, her hands shaking visibly.

Jun Hao shifted the gear smoothly, and the car began to move, driving away from the park and heading toward the villa.

Throughout the entire journey, the atmosphere inside the car was thick and heavy. Jiang Wen was visibly restless, anxious, and completely unable to sit still. She kept shifting her position, twisting her fingers together, breathing shallowly and quickly. Every few seconds, her eyes would dart sideways, glancing nervously and secretly at Jun Hao—specifically at his lap and the area between his legs—her mind constantly replaying the terrifying and shocking image of his naked body and that monstrous size she had witnessed earlier. She looked terrified, confused, and incredibly embarrassed, trapped in a car alone with the very man she had seen in such an intimate, forbidden situation with her mother.

Jun Hao, meanwhile, drove calmly and confidently, keeping his eyes on the road. He noticed every single one of her strange glances, her nervous fidgeting, her fear, and her awkwardness. But he remained completely oblivious to the real reason. He simply assumed she was naturally shy, or perhaps just uncomfortable being alone with a man she didn’t know yet. He deliberately chose to pretend he noticed nothing wrong at all, maintaining his friendly, composed, and helpful demeanor, acting the part of a trusted friend of the family sent to help.

He didn’t say a word about her behavior, didn’t ask any questions, and didn’t react to her glances. He just drove steadily, treating everything as perfectly normal.

After a drive that felt like an eternity to Jiang Wen, the car finally turned in through the large gates and pulled smoothly into the garage of Wan Yu’s villa. Jun Hao brought the vehicle to a gentle stop, turning off the engine. He sat there for a moment, relaxed and composed, ready to get out, while Jiang Wen sat frozen in her seat, her heart still racing, realizing she now had to get out and enter the house—the house where she knew exactly what had been happening inside.
