My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 583 - 584: What Are You Doing?
"Are you going to tell me or not?" Jared Quinn narrowed his eyes and threatened.
"It was at the swimming pool."
"Which time?"
"The first time, maybe?" Melody Thorne’s face flushed as she recalled the scene at the swimming pool that day.
"How did you know?" Jared’s large hand had already lifted her shirt, and his rough thumb was rubbing against the faint scar on her stomach.
Melody Thorne couldn’t possibly say it was because she had died once and Ivy had told her.
"Ivy told me at the seaside when she jumped into the sea. Maybe she felt guilty towards me when she died, so she told me." Melody Thorne found an excuse.
Jared’s eyes fixed on the scar on her stomach, with an inscrutable gaze that was hard to decipher.
"I did tell you, but you didn’t believe me, so you can’t blame me."
"Knock knock," came the sound of someone knocking on the door.
"Jared, someone from the Seymour Family is here, and they want you to go over."
"He’s definitely trying to make you leave me. I won’t go," Melody Thorne snorted coldly.
Jared remembered the words Leon Rivers had just spoken; whether in a hypnotic state or otherwise, it was impossible for someone to lose control and commit murder, especially since he hadn’t had an episode.
If Leon Rivers’ theory was correct, then someone was causing trouble.
"Let’s go take a look; I also want to learn more about the Seymour Family."
Jared’s hands lifted Melody Thorne from the sofa and carried her out of the suite.
"What are you doing?" Just as they stepped out, they encountered a small figure, who was looking at them disapprovingly. They embraced each other, so whom was he going to hug?
"Timmy," Melody Thorne struggled to get down, but a pair of arms held her tighter.
"Her legs are tired," Jared said as he carried Melody Thorne into the elevator, unabashedly even in front of his own son.
Little Timmy followed them, watching their interaction. He raised his small face and said seriously, "Why don’t you have a little brother or sister?"
Melody Thorne nearly fell out of Jared’s arms, eyes wide in shock, "Why?"
Timmy replied solemnly, "I want to hug a little sister."
So that he wouldn’t be without someone to hug.
Melody Thorne: "..."
"Good idea," Jared replied, his usually furrowed brows relaxing at Timmy’s suggestion, which was very much to his liking.
"Don’t even think about it," Melody Thorne snorted coldly.
In the Seymour Family’s hall, everyone was waiting. Although they did not know what had happened, seeing everyone gathered like this meant it was certainly a big deal.
Meanwhile, outside, Jared arrived late, carrying Melody Thorne, which surprised everyone.
"Put me down," Melody Thorne bit Jared’s chest, her eyes glaring at him.
Upon entering the hall, Jared finally relented and put Melody Thorne down.
Old Seymour watched the scene angrily. Although he admired Jared, he thought he was a man who understood the situation, and was surprised to find him choosing to stay with Melody Thorne.
"Is this the answer you give me?"
"Grandpa," Melody Thorne walked over to the old man, "I know you’re doing this for my sake, but I will decide on this matter. Not to mention Jared hasn’t had an episode, even if he does, I’ll stay with him, and watch him get better."
"What if he kills you; how will you watch then?"
"Then we’ll wait and see," Melody Thorne replied fearlessly, "Jared has already found a doctor, and I believe he’ll get better before he has an episode."
