My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 595 - 566: Husband
"Alright." Jared Quinn stopped the car, but there were so many people in front. This happened to be the movie’s red carpet, so it was especially crowded here.
Jared Quinn was worried someone might bump into Melody Thorne. "Wait here, I’ll be back soon."
"Okay."
Melody Thorne contentedly watched Jared Quinn’s tall figure walk into the crowd; his height made him easily noticeable.
It was Jared Quinn’s first time buying something in a crowded area like this; it was definitely an experience.
"I said hurry up, hurry up! Can you afford to delay my red carpet time? I’m telling you, if you dare to waste my time, just get out!" A sharp and caustic voice accompanied by the sound of high heels emerged from behind the car.
Through the rearview mirror, Melody Thorne saw a woman who was in the same class with her at Aethelburg Academy. She often hung around Ivy; she also had a role in Willow Bright’s film.
Luna Lancaster and Ivy couldn’t possibly show up to accept the award, and since she wasn’t attending either, naturally all the attention would be on her. Otherwise, how could a supporting actress be on the red carpet?
The woman, trying to emphasize her height, wore twenty-centimeter stiletto heels, wobbling as she walked, and Melody Thorne watched her like watching a clown.
"Rip!" The woman was wearing a sheer gauze dress, and because she walked too close to the car, the dress got caught on the door handle, and the thin fabric couldn’t even cover her modesty.
"Ah, my dress, my dress!" Sandra Lane screamed.
She turned and slapped the assistant behind her. "What’s the use of following behind me? Couldn’t you hold my dress up? How am I supposed to walk the red carpet with it torn?"
The assistant covered her face but dared not say anything.
"Whose car is this!" Sandra Lane turned around, and upon seeing the multimillion-dollar car in front of her, her expression changed. She walked toward the half-open window and saw the woman sitting inside.
"Miss, your car tore my dress." Since she was abroad, and especially not knowing whose rich family the car belonged to, she didn’t want to offend anyone, so her tone was somewhat polite.
Melody Thorne amusingly flipped her hair and looked at her. "Are you talking to me?"
When Sandra Lane saw that stunning face, she was momentarily stunned, then recognized the owner of that face, and frowned. "Melody Thorne?"
The tone had increased significantly compared to before.
"It’s me." Melody Thorne curled her lips.
Sandra Lane looked again at the car; it was indeed worth millions and was one of only two in the world.
"I was wondering why you disappeared for so long. Turns out you’re being kept. Who would have thought you’re holier than Ivy?" Sandra Lane mocked. "Let’s not talk about anything else. My dress is torn. Compensate me for the dress first!"
"Sure." Melody Thorne pulled out a stack of money from her purse and handed it to her. "Take it. The extra is a tip for wasting your time."
"Heh, a tip. You really think you’re so noble after getting with someone rich." Sandra Lane sneered.
In the distance, a tall figure had already bought Timmy’s favorite food and was approaching.
"Why is Jared here?" Sandra Lane followed her gaze and spoke in surprise, quickly adjusting her dress to greet him.
Instead, she saw Melody Thorne leaning on the other window, softly calling him "honey," and accepting the item from his hand, smiling sweetly at him.
