My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 620 - 591: Put Down the Gun
"Melody," Hans Montrose looked at her with a pained expression, "can’t you leave me with some dignity?"
Melody Thorne stopped in her tracks and turned back, "Then tell me, what’s really going on with you?"
Hans Montrose’s gaze on her kept changing, then his eyes fell to her lips, his large hand moved naturally to her waist, his body pressed tightly, "Don’t think that just because I haven’t done anything to you, it means I’ve let you go. If you want to know the truth, how about a kiss as the price? Hmm?"
Melody Thorne clenched her hands. Apart from Jared Quinn, she had never been kissed by anyone.
But she knew Hans Montrose would definitely not kiss her, definitely not. Although Hans liked to threaten her, he would never actually kiss her, especially with how seriously ill he was now.
Hans Montrose lowered his head, getting closer and closer to her lips. He especially wanted to kiss her, wanted to reach her lips. He was almost touching the corner of her mouth, his shallow breathing becoming so distinct.
"Sister-in-law," suddenly Leon Rivers’ voice echoed in the empty courtyard.
Melody Thorne’s heart jumped, and she immediately turned around. When her gaze caught the two figures standing in the yard, her pupils trembled slightly, especially when she met those inky phoenix eyes. She clearly saw Jared Quinn’s exquisitely sculpted face filled with murderous intent.
"Jared Quinn," Melody Thorne immediately pushed Hans Montrose away.
The next second, she saw a gun appearing in Jared Quinn’s large hand, the black pupils burning with a blazing fire that seemed to want to incinerate everything.
"Don’t shoot," Melody Thorne stood in front of Hans Montrose, "let me explain."
Leon Rivers watched them, already drenched in sweat. From their angle just now, they seemed to have kissed. Any man would break down.
"Come here," Jared Quinn ordered, his dark pupils turned crimson, with veins boiling and restraining in his arm.
"Put the gun down first," Melody Thorne still blocked Hans Montrose, "if you dare to shoot, aim at me first."
"Melody Thorne!"
"Jared, Jared, the Seymour Family is still waiting for us upstairs. Let’s take everyone out first," Leon Rivers, afraid they might start fighting, quickly diverted Jared Quinn’s aim.
"Melody, Melody," the old man hurriedly rushed over from outside.
Leon Rivers knew about the plan for Melody Thorne to rescue Howard Seymour with Hans Montrose. As soon as Melody left, Leon immediately informed everyone, including Jared Quinn, who had already suspected the plan.
"So you had it all planned out from the start," Hans Montrose let out a bitter laugh.
He knew that Melody Thorne wouldn’t agree to return with him so readily, and Jared Quinn wouldn’t let her stay here alone and leave so easily.
"I’m just not as naive as I used to be."
Originally, she planned to send a signal to Jared Quinn a bit later, but to her surprise, Jared found the place before she even sent the signal.
When Melody Thorne looked up again, Jared Quinn was already gone.
A man who gets so jealous probably exploded from anger by now.
After leaving the courtyard, she didn’t know how long they circled around before returning to the Seymour Family. The clan elder had been captured and brought back, and Howard Seymour’s reappearance completely shattered his so-called prophecy.
The few uncles of the Seymour Family only exchanged a few pleasantries, each nursing their own thoughts. Now that Howard Seymour and Melody Thorne were both there, there was no need to mention the idea of them taking over the position of heir.
