Mythical Three Kingdoms
Chapter 1897 - 1734: The Nation Dissolves, Becoming a Battlefield
"If that’s the case, our military formation consists of eight divisions, besides the Central Army breakthrough led by Sharuk. Each division is led by an Inner Qi Manifestation, forming a half-open bud, with the peak of each petal led by an Inner Qi Manifestation."
"Hmm?" Brack furrowed his brows and said.
"The advantage of this military formation lies in its strong side defense, which benefits the breakthrough of the Central Army. The downside is that the rear defense is too weak. Of course, if the eight divisions don’t interweave with enough force and are blocked, then there’s no way to unleash the powerful breakthrough ability of the Central Army." Leiblalei explained slowly.
"Generally speaking, no army can block every spot. This kind of interweaving, as long as it’s half completed, will shatter the enemy forces, causing them to collapse, allowing us to pursue and kill them." Sulapri explained.
"Exactly. This military formation itself is a variant of the Spearhead Formation, focusing on attack. Our army has many valiant generals, perfectly capable of unleashing the power of the General’s Formation." Hirilah said slowly, "It’s best for utilizing the commanding strength of generals."
Saiximon had already reacted, looking at the three strategists with a satisfied expression. Besides the advantage of breaking formation, interweaving advantage, and expressing the dominance of valiant generals, the greatest advantage of this formation is to protect the breakthrough of the Central Army.
The lower class deaths are of no concern to Monnari, but now Sharuk is a noble, who cannot die with the lower class. Therefore, Sharuk must be well protected. This formation, while meeting their requirements, also caters to this goal.
"I just wonder if this military formation is difficult?" Brack furrowed his brows and said.
"A very straightforward military formation, only slightly more complex than the basic Spearhead Formation. However, let me clarify that the Cloud Qi enhancement effect of this formation is collision and sharpness." Sulapri said, "All frontal attacks will increase in power, facilitating tearing apart the enemy’s formation."
"The downside is like the Spearhead Formation; it cares for the front but not the back. Let’s not even talk about the rear defense being nearly zero; if the rear encounters an attack, it’s impossible to turn back for defense." Hirilah sighed, "Using this military formation, there’s only advance and no retreat."
Brack couldn’t help but furrow his brows. Such a one-sided military formation undoubtedly reaches the limit of military formation enhancements, but the drawbacks are too obvious.
"Let’s use this military formation. If even this strong attack formation can’t penetrate the Han Army, then the others are merely empty words." Brack hesitated for a moment before making up his mind.
"As for the flanks and the rear, disregard them. This time, let’s either penetrate the Han Army to secure our victory, or face the opponent strong enough to withstand our interweaving, pushing through our nine positions with wild aggression and swallowing us from behind." Brack spoke resolutely.
"Gentlemen, in this battle, advance without retreat!" Brack, a ruthless person, after making up his mind, showed no hesitation, raised his head and said to everyone.
All the military officers felt a chill in their hearts, stood up, and saluted Brack.
"Since that’s the case, Hirilah, you draft the battle letter. We have a month left. Yano Lipu, gather and practice the military formation. Sulapri and Leiblalei, you oversee it." Brack immediately issued orders.
The civil and military officials all nodded, then Hirilah first wrote a battle letter in the Kushan language, handed it to Brack for review. After Brack confirmed there were no problems, Hirilah then took out a Han language version and started copying the battle letter.
"Send it out three days later." Brack looked at Hirilah and said.
Three days later, Hirilah handed the battle letter to a Kushan noble, who set off towards the east with two hundred cavalrymen.
Two days later, the Kushan diplomat unexpectedly encountered the Han envoy Li Xin and his group.
"Your nation has already prepared the battle letter?" Li Xin sat in the capital city of a small border state of the Wenga Dynasty, eating fruit, while the king sat silently watching Li Xin and the Kushan diplomat chat.
"The battle letter is ready." The Kushan diplomat informed Li Xin through heart communication.
"So, will the noble envoy accompany me to our camp to deliver the battle letter, or will it be handed over here?" Li Xin asked the Kushan diplomat.
"I will present the battle letter here." The Kushan diplomat glanced at the trembling small state’s king, then stood up and took out the silk-written battle letter.
"Two copies?" Li Xin looked puzzled at the two battle letters, but fortunately, he had recently studied the Kushan script diligently, so he could barely recognize a few words and immediately understood.
"Since the battle letter has been presented to the Han Empire, I shall now leave and await the Han Empire’s army to rendezvous with our Kushan forces in the Wenga Dynasty." After delivering the battle letter, the Kushan diplomat glanced at the small nation’s king and said. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"A rendezvous in the Wenga Dynasty? Fine, I won’t detain the noble envoy then." Li Xin, acting as if he were the local landlord, said to the Kushan diplomat, who returned a Han-style salute to Li Xin and then took his leave.
After watching the Kushan diplomat depart, Li Xin stood up, looking at the two battle letters in his hand. Speaking of which, they never thought of presenting battle letters to other countries requiring two copies, one of which needed to be in another nation’s script.
"Thank you, Your Majesty, for allowing us to present the battle letter here. Now that we have received the battle letter, we can’t stay long. We’ll take our leave." Li Xin said to the small nation’s king, whose name he hadn’t remembered, given that the country had only a population of tens of thousands.
"No need for such formality, Han envoy, no need at all." The small country’s king said humbly, "Here are some gifts, presented to the Han envoy."
Soon a large group of people loaded numerous jewels, beautiful jades, and ample gold to send to Li Xin.
Li Xin looked at the somewhat fearful king and his ministers, "Then I shall humbly accept it." So, he ordered people to collect these items, knowing full well that if he didn’t, these people might not be at ease.
After Li Xin left, the small country immediately descended into chaos preparing for relocation. The Han Empire and the Kushan Empire wanted to rendezvous in Wenga. Despite Wenga Dynasty having a population of over a million and claiming an army of a hundred thousand, if Han and Kushan empires take action in Wenga, it wouldn’t even have the strength to resist.
Thus, it’s better to relocate quickly to avoid being affected. After all, in the subcontinent, the Wenga Dynasty could still be considered a second-rate kingdom.
Compared to empires like the Han army or the Kushan Empire, which could wipe it out with a slight move, but such small nations, upon receiving the news, inclined to relocate and make way for the two large empires, would certainly be doomed along with the surrounding third-tier small countries.
Just as Li Xin led the diplomatic mission rushing towards the main forces in Yizhou, the Wenga Dynasty had already received the final ultimatum from the Kushan Empire — Wenga Dynasty disband within five days, for we will make this our battlefield.
