A cold wind blew as the dust of snow passed between a lone human and a horde of monsters.

The difference in numbers was zero to one. If one was to look at the odds, there was surely no way the bet would go to the lone human.

However, just numbers alone can’t determine the outcome, at least not in this case.

Aegon stood before the army of monsters, his body covered in blood, his eyes fierce and cold.

It was the only thing that was glowing in his entire body. The only thing the monsters could see.

His eyes were glowing purple, to the point the monster couldn’t tell if they were looking at a human or not.

Of course, his aura was intimidating to the small monsters, who could blame them? The difference in strength between Aegon and them was as far as heaven from earth.

However, even though they felt fear it was impossible for them to run away as they were not in control.

The alpha, that is, in a group of wolves, there was always an alpha; which in this case, was the biggest among them.

This beast stood three times the normal size of a regular wolf, its body wider than that of an elephant.

It had a new form, one that wasn’t the same when Aegon first saw it before.

This monster now, although it was a wolf, had a horn coming out from its forehead. Its fur was both white and blue.

From its head to its neck was the blue part, while its whole body down to its ankle, white, and its legs were blue.

Its claws were massive, twice the size of the other monsters Aegon had fought. Although they might look the same size, there was still a big difference.

Aegon gazed at the monster, as it also gazed at him. They were both separate by a horde of small monsters, but that didn’t seem to bother them.

It was as though they both were the only ones in this area.

While standing, Aegon had thought of something:

’I was able to find an essence stones inside that large monster earlier, and I am almost certain there is another one inside this monster.’

’But how come it’s only inside the big ones and not the small ones, I might have heard of Framers obtaining drops items from the monsters they kill, so why don’t these little ones have any?’

It was indeed true, monsters do sometimes drop items after death. It was always a ninety percent chance that something would be found, no matter how small the monster was.

It sounded like a game, like some kind of entertainment to a certain person. Of course, the voice wouldn’t necessarily be the one who was being entertained.

’I don’t think an ordinary Farmer is capable of creating such a thing. Even the S-rank Farmers, I don’t think any of them would have the power equal to that of a supreme being.’

’So it would mean these monsters are also a creation of this being, and not the same as the ones in the true Abyss. Explaining why they don’t have any essence stones in them.’

Aegon had thought hard about these things since he started the challenge, and he was certain he was going to get an answer.

But first, he needed to kill the monster and get the second half of the yellow stone. Perhaps, some answers would be found then.

As if the monsters had already seen he was ready for them now didn’t wait for any signal but immediately charged towards him.

The current count of the monsters were rough around over five hundred, and Aegon only needed half of that to complete his mission.

The monsters that charged at Aegon were not all of them. Some were still standing closely beside the larger monster, as if they had their own role of attack.

Upon seeing the monsters approaching, Aegon got into position as he prepared for the attack, and when they were close enough, he activated it.

"Erase from existence... [Particle Execution!]"

Suddenly, as the skill was activated all the monsters about five to ten feet away from him all disappeared, erased from existence, as if they were warped in space.

No blood, no flesh, nothing to show that they once existed.

Aegon was taken aback to what had just happened, in his thought:

’Is this an upgrade?’

Earlier when he had used the skill, although the monster bursted, blood still remained to show they once existed.

But now, it didn’t.

Aegon’s lips curved into a smile after seeing it, this was the true power of the SSS-Rank Void Sovereign.

Aegon felt a surge of excitement run down his spine. He had just killed a certain numbers of monsters, and while more were still coming, he stared at the system at the corner of his eyes.

The monsters rushed faster towards Aegon as if not allowing him to activate his skill again, and they were indeed successful.

They left Aegon and went back to their initial area. Some had sustained injuries while others, well, there were no others as they were dead.

As they were retreating, Aegon could only think one thing, his gaze landing upon the massive monster.

The monster walked forward as the smaller ones gave it space to pass, its presence, intimidating.

Upon seeing this, Aegon’s lips curved into a smile, a thrilling feeling coursing through his veins, as he said;

"So, you have decided to join the fight?"
