30 Days of Passion and Revenge-Chapter 191: Lily’s Jealous Heart
She kissed him until he was addicted, only to pull away. Was she playing with him? This woman was getting bolder by the day...
"Ethan, from now on, no other woman is allowed to kiss you—not even those cheek-to-cheek greeting kisses," Lily said seriously, and after a moment of thought, she added, "And you’re not allowed to kiss any other woman either—not even on the hand!"
Her warning was blunt.
Ethan stared at her serious face, momentarily taken aback.
The next second, he burst into laughter, his smile wicked and teasing. "Lily, I never knew you could get so jealous."
Before, she never showed the slightest jealousy, no matter what he did or how hard he tried. But now...
"So what if I do?" Lily countered.
"So what? I love it when you get jealous!" Ethan laughed, his tone dripping with seduction. Ignoring the pain from his injuries, he sat up and pulled her into his arms, kissing her fiercely.
He had gone crazy for and suffered for her; back then, she hadn’t even loved him. Her love had come so late...
But better late than never.
"Mmm..."
Lily was forced into the kiss. His kisses were always wild and domineering, filled with reckless abandon, his expert lips demanding her breath.
All of this was his alone.
Soon, Lily melted into his embrace, her body soft and pliant against his.
Ethan continued kissing her passionately, completely forgetting about his injuries. Her soft body heated up in his arms, further igniting his desire.
Finally, Ethan pulled away, breathing heavily. Her lips were swollen and red, glistening with a seductive sheen. Breathing raggedly, he kissed her once more, growling, "I want you so bad right now."
Damn it. She had already told him to stop, but he should have fired one shot. At least that way, he wouldn’t be so severely injured and could’ve done... more to her.
Still dazed from the kiss, Lily glanced at his arm in a sling and blurted out, "Can you even move right now?"
His arm was practically useless—could he handle vigorous activity? Why did he always like to push himself when he was injured?
Ethan’s temper flared immediately. He pressed her down onto the bed, glaring at her from above. His eyes were dark with desire, and his voice dangerously seductive. "Lily, I’ll show you what I can do now."
This woman dared to doubt his abilities? He would prove her wrong, even if it meant risking his injured arm.
As he reached for her clothes, Lily quickly grabbed his hand, alarmed. "Are you crazy? You’re seriously injured, and you still want to fool around."
"I don’t care! You questioned my abilities!" Ethan huffed, continuing to tug at her clothes.
Questioning a man’s abilities was the ultimate insult!
No man could tolerate that!
"I can’t! I’ve had signs of a miscarriage; the doctor said no sex for a while. If we’re not careful, I could miscarry," Lily hurriedly explained.
She hadn’t meant to question his abilities—his abilities were unmatched, to the point where it was overwhelming.
If it weren’t for that, she wouldn’t be this jealous in the first place.
"Miscarriage?!" Ethan froze, immediately pulling his hand away as if even touching her might cause her harm. His expression stiffened as he stared at her. "Why didn’t you tell me?!"
She had signs of a miscarriage? What had happened?
Lily sat up and helped Ethan back into a comfortable position on the bed, smoothing her hair. "I was going to tell you, but then I saw Aiko rushing to kiss you."
Her words were tinged with a hint of jealousy.
Ethan looked at her slightly sulky expression, amused by how jealous she was...
How had he fallen in love with a woman who got this jealous?
"From now on, only you get to kiss me. Satisfied, my little jealous girl?" Ethan promised.
"You’re the jealous girl." Lily huffed, annoyed. Jealous girl? How rude...
In any relationship, loyalty was the bare minimum of respect. But to him, it was just jealousy?
"Let’s not talk about this. I’ll have Nanny take you for a checkup," Ethan said, his tone serious. "How did you end up with signs of a miscarriage? What happened?"
For the first time, Lily realized she hadn’t thought about that. Maybe it was from when she had fallen down the hill near her mother’s grave, or perhaps it was the stress she had been under...
Not wanting to dwell on it, she shook her head. "I’m fine now. The doctor just told me to rest and avoid any strenuous activity."
"Then go rest." Ethan urged her to leave.
"I’ll sit here a little longer." She wasn’t ready to sleep and would rather stay by his side longer.
"If you keep sitting here, I won’t be able to rest!" Ethan grumbled, feeling awkward. She was half-lying beside him, her face in view, her scent filling his nostrils. If this continued, he wouldn’t be able to control himself.
Wait a minute—Lily was pregnant, which meant no strenuous activity... Did that mean he’d have to wait almost ten months?! That long... Who could endure that?
Did other men have to wait ten months, too?!
Having a baby wasn’t torturous for women—it was hellish for men!
"Lily, give me your phone."
Confused, Lily handed him her phone. "What is it?"
Ethan didn’t answer, his fingers moving swiftly across the screen.
Thinking he was checking something for work, Lily didn’t pay much attention. She picked up a toothpick and speared a piece of apple Nanny had cut, offering it to him.
Ethan bit into the apple without hesitation, his eyes never leaving the phone screen, his brow furrowing deeper by the second.
"Shit."
Ethan cursed under his breath, his expression darkening.
"Ethan, I’m pregnant. No more swearing," Lily scolded lightly, offering him another piece of apple.
Ethan bit into it viciously as if the apple had wronged him. "Got it."
For the sake of this baby, he was going to suffer.
He had to control his desires, and now he couldn’t even curse to vent...
"What are you looking at?" Noticing his increasingly sour expression, Lily curiously glanced at the phone screen, and her jaw dropped, causing the toothpick to fall from her hand.
Ethan was using her phone to search the internet for: Can you have sex during pregnancy?
One of the responses read: You should avoid sex during the first and third trimesters, as it can lead to miscarriage or premature birth.
"Ethan, can you stop thinking about sex all the time..." Lily sighed. Why did he always have to be in beast mode?
Bam—
Ethan tossed the phone aside, glaring at her with surprising seriousness. "I’m a normal man. If I’m with you and I’m not thinking about sex, it means I don’t love you anymore."
"Then you must have loved a lot of women."
"Only you," Ethan replied without hesitation.
One was enough to make him suffer inside and out. If there were more, he might as well shoot himself and be done with it.
Hearing this, Lily started counting on her fingers, speaking with unusual seriousness. "According to your logic, sex equals love. So what about that porn star Blue Yew in the study? And Natalie Walker in the Ferrari? And Aiko Nakamura in your office... and who knows how many others..."
No wonder she wanted to tear down his entire house. The main focus was the study. She still hadn’t forgotten about Blue Yew.
The thing with Blue Yew had been fake.
He had been stupid back then, thinking it was a good idea to test her like that... How could he explain that Blue Yew had been faking it in his study, just making noises?
If she found out he had done something that embarrassing, she’d never let him live it down. She loved bringing up old grievances—she’d never stop reminding him.
"That was just lust!" Ethan huffed.
Lily quickly shot back, "And how do I know that what you feel for me isn’t just lust?"
"I’m not stupid enough to shoot myself just to sleep with a woman!" He wasn’t someone who threw his life away for nothing. He wasn’t an idiot who’d hurt himself just to get laid!
Did she think he was that shallow?
Lily’s heart skipped a beat at his words. She didn’t say anything more. Now that they had decided to start fresh, she needed to let go of the past. She couldn’t keep holding onto old grudges.
He had already shot himself twice for her. What more could she ask for?
With that in mind, Lily leaned over and kissed his cheek softly, the gesture full of affection.
Ethan’s sour expression immediately softened, and a smug smile tugged at his lips. This woman was finally learning.
Seeing her being so sweet, Ethan cleared his throat awkwardly and said, "I’ll try my best to control myself during the first and third trimesters."
This was the most significant promise he could make for her and the baby.
Lily looked up at his handsome face, his expression grim. She couldn’t help but laugh. "Ethan, you don’t have to act like you’re making some heroic sacrifice. This baby is yours, too. Protecting her and me is your responsibility."
"Got it, stop nagging," Ethan grumbled, nuzzling her head affectionately. Six months... This was going to kill him.
Lily’s words reminded him that soon, he would be a father.
The sudden realization felt strange, awkward somehow.
"I donated all your furniture and cars and even replaced your office. Are you mad at me?" Lily asked.
She knew donating and replacing everything wasn’t cheap, and it had crossed some boundaries.
But she couldn’t stand having anything from his promiscuous past around, especially the beds... and the cars that had probably seen countless actresses.
Now that they were starting over, everything from the past had to be wiped clean.
"You tore apart my house and my office, and now you’re asking me?" Ethan chuckled wickedly, teasing her. "It’s just money."
Was she worried he’d be angry?
He had lost billions for her already—what was a little more money?
"I’m not talking about money. A woman spending her man’s money is only natural. If I don’t spend it, some other woman will," Lily replied matter-of-factly. "I’m just worried I overstepped."
Her logic...
Lily’s jealousy was no joke.
"Jealous girl." Ethan pulled her into his arms, pressing a soft kiss to her hair, his eyes filled with affection. "You’re my everything. Nothing is more important than you. Do whatever makes you happy."
He was willing to spoil her.
Money wasn’t an issue—he had plenty. The fact that she was finally willing to enter his life truly mattered most... There was no way he would object.
Lily smiled, her heart melting. She had to admit that when Ethan spoke sweetly, it was moving more than anything else. Every word struck a chord in her heart.
After a while, Ethan began to shoo her away. "Go to bed, jealous girl."
"You’re the jealous girl!" She huffed. Could he stop giving her such embarrassing nicknames? It was so mortifying!
