A Regressor's Guide to the Frozen Apocalypse-Chapter 35: I Can Give Them Power?
Chapter 35: I Can Give Them Power?
"Pacifica!"
Light suddenly shouted in the living room, and the sound of rapid footsteps began to rise from a room at the other end of the house.
After only a few seconds, Pacifica came to Light’s side and looked at him in confusion.
"Is something wrong?"
When Pacifica came into the living room, Light showed her the scroll and then said "You don’t know until you try it, it’s an ability and when the scroll is torn it is passed on to the user, who knows, maybe you will become a user like me."
Light would normally have bought weapons mastery and similar skills and given them to Pacifica, but one of his terrible skills was map reading.
Of course, soldiers like Leonard knew how to read maps, but giving something like this to Pacifica could have a good effect on the group, just in case.
Pacifica took the scroll in her hand with great excitement. Just as she was about to cut it in half, she stopped and gave it back to Light.
Light stood there as if he was surprised that this had happened and asked "What happened?". He knew that Pacifica was excited about this, so the fact that she was refusing such a thing made him very curious.
"This thing...it must be quite valuable, right? A talent or a skill...we shouldn’t use it for me, Light."
After Pacifica’s words, Light’s eyes opened wide, it was very, very unbelievable that Pacifica, the friend he valued the most in this life, really had such thoughts. It was obvious that she was predisposed to ’Angel’.
"Don’t be silly and take it, it’s not something of great value, I’d like to say that you need to get stronger, but this scroll is a scroll that gives you the ability to read maps, so it’s not of great value."
Light officially tried to calm Pacifica down and then gave the scroll back to her with a smile.
As if relieved by what she heard, Pacifica suddenly tore the scroll and waited.
Ten seconds...20 seconds, then two minutes of waiting, but nothing seemed to happen.
Pacifica’s face was grim and it occurred to the duo that she would not be able to use the ability.
Just as Light sat down on the seat in front of him, he realised that Pacifica was very sad. Not knowing what to say, he coughed slightly and then said, "We’ll figure it out! Don’t bother so much." He tried to comfort her a little bit.
Still, there was nothing to be done, which is why he thought he should check what he needed to check.
"System Profile," he said aloud and saw two windows that made him smile.
[Do you want to invite Pacifica Smith to join your team?
Yes/No.]
Staring at the window he saw in front of him, Light now understood why Pacifica could not use a skill, all this power was in Light’s hands, and that meant that he could give power to anyone he wanted, and in the same way, he could take away the power of these people.
It was a power that was completely in the hands of Light.
A "lone" powerhouse.
But this also raised other questions:
"Was Light the only ability user in existence? If that wasn’t the case, where were the others? Did zombies exist for abilities? Or would people have abilities to be eaten by these beings?"
Still, Light knew that there was no point in worrying about it right now, which reminded him of what he had to do.
[He had to build an indestructible community.]
"I’m pressing yes," Light said in a small gravy tone, and suddenly there was another shout:
"AAAAGHH!!!"
Pacifica suddenly fell off the sofa and stared at the window in front of her eyes.
"What the hell is going on?" Pacifica couldn’t help but think, her pupils were dilated, she was scared out of her wits and her heart was beating even faster than when she was up against zombies.
’CAN YOU SEE? HAHA, I’M SUPER!’ Light suddenly shouted and carried Pacifica with a single movement. He was carrying Pasifica with his hands and turning round and round.
Although Pacifica was happy that she was being carried by the person she loved, she just stared, feeling incredibly nauseous.
"Wait, wait, what’s going on here?!"
Light turned round to see his sister and Lawrence standing in front of him, his smiling face making them look incredibly dumbfounded.
"We’ve made a great discovery, sis!" Light suddenly exclaimed and gently sat Pacifica back down on the couch, her face flushed red as she tried to calm herself down and accepted the option in the window in front of her and waited.
"Discovery?" Petunia suddenly said, looking surprised.
Sensing this, Light suddenly entered the System Shop and bought both Lawrence and his sister Petunia ’beginner carpentry’ scrolls.
Handing the scrolls to the pair, Light asked them to tear them up, and as soon as they did, Light sent them their team requests, just as he had done with Pacifica.
Although the duo was incredibly surprised by the window that appeared in front of them, they managed to calm down and accepted the requests.
"All of you, say System Profile now." Light said, and the trio was surprised once more. What was in front of them was officially each of their private information, including their personalities.
"Understand? With this, who can interfere with us? The abilities we can gain are endless, sis! HAHAHA! As long as I buy it, it’s all ours!" Light’s happy voice cheered up the group, even Pacifica smiled at his words and the family burst into laughter.
Light quickly checked everyone’s system profiles in the leader section of his profile, which meant that no one else had [skill points] like him.
This meant that Light was the only one whose power was constantly increasing and whose limits he could surpass.
With that, Light had a new mission for himself. Now that he was going to wait for everything to pause for a bit and try to kill the zombies in this apocalypse that had progressed even further, he had to earn points.
It wasn’t just spells that were for sale here. It was possible to buy cookery skills, combat skills, tailoring skills, acrobatic skills and even body enhancements. The only thing missing was that Light’s level was not enough.
Really...How many levels did Light reach?
