A Regressor's Guide to the Frozen Apocalypse-Chapter 39: Information
Chapter 39: Information
It had been almost four hours since Light had left the house. He had said goodbye to his family and the group after leaving extra food, drinks, etc., and had set off immediately.
In case any harm came to him, he had not hesitated to fill up the entire tank that had been opened in the lower part of the basement.
He had already arrived in Oxford and was already wandering around. For almost 30 minutes he had been travelling around with his snowmobile and killing all the zombies he could.
Luckily he hadn’t encountered any mutant zombies, nor any of the other types of zombies he had seen before his death.
Although there were certain questions in his mind about how mutant zombies had evolved, Light was well aware that it would be useless to think about them.
Even though his thoughts were constantly running through his mind, the only thing he needed to do now was to find the location of the group with the eagle symbol, go to the area where they had settled, and if he could, conquer them from the inside.
After arriving in the city centre, a house caught his eye. The snow around the houses had been dug out and the windows were blocked with planks, just like in Pacifica’s house.
After going to many houses and trying his luck, he wanted to go to one last house just as his hope was diminishing. Just ahead he saw a house with a fence around it and went towards it.
Light approached the house with the mask on his face and the clothes he was wearing and knocked on the door three times:
"Thud-thud-thud."
The door was opened by a man after the sounds that slowly started to rise from inside. The man’s temperature seemed to be normal.
Even if he was a little skinny, it was still possible to say that he was not very badly fed, it was obvious that this man had listened to the government’s rhetoric about the ’stockpile’.
"What---what do you want?" the man who opened the door stuttered a little when he saw what Light was wearing and continued to look at Light.
"My name is Arah, I’m here to get information."
Light’s muffled voice coming out of the mask seemed to scare the man quite a lot, but the man was surprised when he suddenly pulled himself together and calmly said "Traveler?".
"That’s right, I can provide you with certain things in exchange for your knowledge." As Light said these words, he opened his hands and suddenly several frozen noodles, energy drinks and even some blankets appeared around him.
The man couldn’t believe his eyes and tried to pinch himself by pinching his cheek, but when he realised that it wasn’t a dream, he turned to Light and asked "Who are you?".
Light opened his hands after this question and then silenced the man by saying "Neither the heavens nor hell can comprehend, I am one of the few who can offer help in the apocalypse while the worst of the apocalypse is with us, it is enough for you to know this."
"Are you human?" the man asked, and Light, who heard this, shook his head and shook the man by saying "For now."
"What information are you looking for?" the man asked again, and Light, who heard this, suddenly formed a paper in his hand, and after he handed the paper to the man, he said "Them." and fell silent.
"How much can I have with this information?"
Light realised that when the man uttered these words, he had finally caught the beginning of the clue he needed. He paused and after a few seconds he said, "If it’s true, ten fridges full of food and drink."
Light’s words brought a smile to the man’s face, it was wonderful to imagine such a stockpile of food, and even more wonderful that it was real.
"To be honest, the name of this group you mentioned is [Forsaken]. The group is symbolised by the female eagle leaving her children to die. They think God has abandoned us and that’s why they’re called Forsaken. They are not bad people."
With every word the man said, Light was learning more and more about the group, and the fact that he thought he could use every bit of information for his good seemed to make everything better for him.
"The group’s base is in Warwick Castle. The group uses it as a permanent base, not a temporary one, I’m not sure of their leadership or fighting force, so I can’t tell you anything about that."
"Anything else?"
The words made him think for a few seconds, but he shook his head and continued:
"They don’t have much offensive power and they don’t have many weapons. Nevertheless, there are many of them, a group of almost a hundred people. They go to the surrounding cities and loot, but I heard that they don’t kill people."
At these words, Light shook his head and then put his hand out in front of him and said "Enter your house or get out of the corridor." There was no way he could believe that they did not kill people.
The man quickly did as Light said and Light threw hundreds of packets of frozen noodles, frozen vegetables and even frozen meat at him. frёewebnoѵēl.com
He was very lucky since he had learnt to use his Sub-Space properly, life was very easy for him. He normally preferred to go inside the Sub-Space when he wanted to buy something. But after a long period of use, he was able to use the skill at a high level in a very short time.
He could empty the entire Sub-Space just by thinking about it.
"Is this enough?" Light suddenly said, and the man who heard it turned to him and said, "Isn’t it enough?"
Shaking his head, Light stretched his waist and then bowed slightly towards the man and said "The trade ended here." and walked away from the house.
Although Light, who was walking towards the snowmobile, was stretching dozens of thoughts inside, he aimed to move towards the group as soon as possible.
If they were good people and Light had become that way because of the large number of the group, he would not destroy them, but if they were of the other kind, Light would do everything to destroy them.
He got on the snowmobile he had put in the middle of the street, there were 82 kilometres to go, and now he could set off.
