A Regressor's Guide to the Frozen Apocalypse-Chapter 66: Tier 5 Mutant Zombie

Although everyone was frozen, it was clear that the sound was not very close to the group, Light suddenly managed to wake up and then turned to Leonard and shouted ’RUN TO WHERE THE VEHICLE IS NOW!!!’.

When Leonard heard Light’s voice, he suddenly started running as if the adrenaline in his body was suddenly activated and started to lead the group coming out of the warehouse.

They had to act fast, especially as Light’s shout made them realise that something more terrifying than they could have imagined was coming at them.

When Light’s group merged with those coming out of the warehouse, a group of about 50 people came together and started to move.

Leonard and Neo were trying to kill as many zombies as possible together, and Pacifica, as a co-leader, was trying to guide the rest as quickly and carefully as possible.

But the escape would not be that easy.

The sounds of heavy movement could be heard for metres over the snow, and the group couldn’t help shivering every time that muffled humming sound rose into the air.

Light had to do something, he knew he couldn’t kill such a zombie right now, there was no way he could do such a thing when the mere sound of this zombie was enough to freeze him in place.

He might have crossed the human boundaries and become really strong, but there were still things stronger than him. Zombies were becoming more and more powerful every day. Even non-mutant zombies were able to reach the upper levels and the danger was increasing exponentially every day.

Now, Light was forced to face this danger.

He was moving as fast as he could.

He had already downloaded all the items in the warehouse to his inventory, he was very lucky that he thought to go back into the warehouse and do this, maybe there was not much stuff, but at least he could give his stuff to the people he would add to his group.

Still, it was as foolish as it was lucky.

Light managed to see the figure just on the other side of the warehouse.

This figure resembled a human being, perhaps three metres in size, with incredibly thin and white skin, its body seemed to be divided horizontally in half, and in this hollow-like part, six eyes were watching Light carefully.

There were at least forty centimetres of fingernails and huge teeth, perhaps more than fifteen centimetres, in the part of his mouth.

Light stayed where he was, incredibly scared, feeling like an idiot for coming here to save people. He felt pretty lame for having these thoughts.

He didn’t care though, he didn’t give a damn about any of it.

He had to live, he had an older sister to go back to.

"Aaaahhhh----rrrrkk---hhuuuuu----he---lp...."

An incredibly disgusting voice travelled towards Light. The mutant zombie was trying to imitate a call for help, it was an incredibly intelligent being.

Light reached into his inventory and pulled out a Beretta 1301 Tactical Mod 2 shotgun with bullets in it, just in case. At that very moment, he used his inspection skill and observed the zombie:

It is an extremely intelligent mutant zombie, its body is very puny and easily damaged, but don’t underestimate this zombie, it has speed and endurance as well as intelligence!]

The moment Light analysed the mutant zombie, he turned towards the group and saw that every single one of them was already where the car was.

This car couldn’t carry fifty people, there was no way, Light had to get there somehow and get another vehicle out and send everyone away...or he could abandon everyone and escape on his own.

He didn’t want to do that though, he really didn’t see how he could ever look his sister in the face again in such a situation.

Suddenly he was on the move, running towards the mutant zombie instead of avoiding it. The Mutant White Ice Zombie seemed to be the most surprised by this.

The zombie must have been so surprised that it decided to take a few steps back and swing its claw because Light was running towards it.

In short, the mutant zombie was officially a little scared to pounce on Light.

Light, on the other hand, held the Beretta 1301 tightly in his hand as soon as he entered the five-metre barrage and fired without waiting:

"BANG!!!"

The sound of gunfire literally soared into the sky and the bullets managed to hit the Tier 5 Mutant White Ice Zombie:

"SSSSCCREEEAAAAGGHHHHHHHH!!!!"

A gigantic scream suddenly spread to Light and perhaps the entire area two hundred metres away, and some of the snow masses even managed to slide from their places as if they were avalanches due to the force of the sound.

Light’s eardrums were about to burst, but he couldn’t stop, it was obvious that the mutant zombie in front of him was injured, and when he used his inspection skill, he could see how damaged the zombie was:

The gun in Light’s hand really deserved the title of the best shotgun in the world. A single shotgun shot had managed to inflict damage to the mutant zombie that perhaps even Light could not do.

As soon as he realised this, he suddenly held his position and made the move that would push the mutant zombie to attack:

"Chk-chk!"

Light reloaded the shotgun and made it ready to fire.

At that very moment, the Tier 5 Mutant White Ice Zombie lunged towards Light and swung its claw.

With a quick movement, Light threw himself to the ground and rolled on the snow-covered with blood and held the shotgun towards the mutant zombie, at that moment he pulled the trigger:

"BANG!!!!"

This time the attack was much closer than the previous one, that’s why the attack was precise and every single bullet that shattered managed to enter the mutant zombie’s body.

Light was very close to winning.
