[Jack Harbour(Necromancer)
Age: 16
Nature: Angel]
Light involuntarily closed and opened his eyes hard a few times after the system window that had formed in front of him and tried once again to understand what was happening.
Finding out that the young man in front of him was indeed young, and that the nature of this young man was Angel had changed everything in an instant.
Light trusted the system completely, it had never let him down or let him down. Still, Light wanted to know the truth.
One by one, he spied on the people around with his inspection ability and saw that there was not a single bad person in the group of almost forty people.
"You’re trying to check if there’s a bad person, aren’t you? I’ve heard that you have such powers." Necromancer suddenly said.
Light shook his head when he heard this and then said, "You must know something about me, Jack."
As soon as Jack heard his own name, he started to look at Light with wide eyes.
"Do you...do you know me?" Jack suddenly asked, his sleepy and tired eyes shining with a great light.
"You’re not the only one with the abilities, as you know right?" Light suddenly said, and with that, he suddenly extended his hand to the right and took out two boxes from his inventory.
He placed the boxes on the ground and pushed them forward, then said, "Your people seem to be in need of food."
Light was still not convinced, indeed he trusted the system completely, but what he didn’t trust was human nature itself, he was going to question Jack.
"Of course, I don’t trust you, that’s why we’re going to talk here, my back is safe, if you can control those things that you bring back to life or turn people alive as I saw, at least in such a stupid situation... I advise you not to do it." Light said and then took a step back and said "Tell me."
When Jack bent down and opened the boxes that Light had taken out, he saw that there were dozens of fruit juice packets and cold sandwiches in the boxes. He locked eyes with Light’s eyes with an expression of surprise and emotion, and then said, "Thank you." by squeezing his lips.
After that, Jack suddenly stood back up and then started to speak:
"First of all, let me tell you about the day I got my powers. I don’t know how it was for you, but maybe three months after this apocalypse started, I started to feel something strange in my body. I was sleeping more but consuming less energy, so my body didn’t really need food or water, it just wanted sleep."
"I came here to visit my brother and we were stuck here, and a lot of people were the same as me. About the third month or so, when we got these powers, I accidentally resurrected a rat... a zombie. We’d be lying if we said no one was afraid of me, but they accepted me anyway, I was like a protection for many of them at least."
"Many people were bitten, there weren’t many zombies, but the infection...that virus reached here too, sir...I even had to turn my own brother into one of those zombies."
Light shook his head as Jack finished his words, and afterwards, he felt sorry for Jack and wanted to kill him at the same time.
Just then one of the elders spoke again, seeming to want to add to Jack’s words:
"Young man, I swear to you that young Jack is not a bad person, every living being he turned into a zombie did so of their own volition. Jack agonised for days, and weeks, shedding tears of remorse that he couldn’t save them. They were already infected, at least they wanted to give Jack strength."
Hearing the words of the old man speaking in front of him, Light shook his head and then said, "I will decide whether the young man is okay or not."
When Light said these words, the old man literally couldn’t open his mouth again out of fear, and Light continued to speak.
"What about Elise? Why did you attack the Roan group? What was the reason?"
After Light’s questions, Jack tilted his head and then answered, "I warned them, I told them many times not to pass near Coleshill, the reason I didn’t attack you was that I felt that you were like me."
Light said nothing after these words and clenched his fists.
"Young man, you are lucky. If Elise’s life had been in danger, I swear to you that I would have given you a hundred times worse than this apocalypse." Light suddenly said, and with that, he reached into his inventory again and took out a few more boxes.
As Jack and the others were trying to figure out what was going on, he said, "You’re lucky, Elise isn’t the only reason for this. I have the ability to see the true nature of people, if there was anything that showed you were evil you would be dead already."
He scratched his head as he said these words and turned to Charles and said, "How the hell am I going to tell Elise about this?"
Charles smiled from under the gas mask he was wearing and then replied, "We may have come to clean this place up, but Mrs Elise will understand, although the friend named Jack harmed the Roan group, he did not kill them, there was not a single casualty, there was only psychological damage."
When Light heard these words, he took out his phone from his inventory and dialled Elise’s number directly.
"Do you still have reception?" Jack suddenly questioned, to everyone’s surprise, it was unbelievable that there was still reception.
Light shook his head and said, "Yeah, isn’t that weird?" and then waited for the phone to be answered.
After a short while, the answer came.
