Abyss Summoner-Chapter 49 - 47: This World
The Inferior Demon appeared in front of the zombie. Its attack method was very simple: basically, it just hugged, then crushed the opponent’s skull with its arms.
Common, yet effective.
The zombie’s attacks had absolutely no effect on the Inferior Demon, and often, they didn’t even have the chance to struggle. Once their arms touched the Inferior Demon, they would stick, and then, they would become a true corpse.
The Inferior Demon was like a moving fortress, with no weaknesses whatsoever on its entire body.
Compared to other demons, the Inferior Demon’s combat methods were pitifully few. Its body determined that it couldn’t perform intricate maneuvers, but it wasn’t without strengths. Its special bodily structure endowed it with extraordinary vitality. As long as it wasn’t torn to pieces, even if its head was blown into two pieces, it could slowly recover.
A meat shield.
In the bloody battles of the Abyss, Inferior Demons were the irreplaceable cannon fodder. They used their extraordinary vitality to pave a bloody path for the demons behind them.
Monster nurturing.
Chen Feng indeed felt this way now.
— "Cross Embrace!"
The Inferior Demon moved across the ground, sweeping a zombie into a powerful embrace. The zombie was crushed into a mess of flesh and blood.
One hit, one kill!
The flesh was not wasted; the Inferior Demon pressed hard, devouring the pile of flesh into its body. They were its nourishment.
On the other side.
The Dark Elf rushed toward the Blood Corpse.
She took a deep breath and suddenly accelerated. During her run, she drew her bowstring, and with a whoosh, the arrow pierced towards the Blood Corpse’s head.
"Squelch!"
The Blood Corpse raised its right arm, and the arrow pierced right through its wrist. With a single block, it avoided a fatal blow. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
As an undead creature, a zombie’s entire body was rotting flesh. Even if all its bones were broken, it would continue to crawl and attack. The only method to kill it was the head.
Only when its head shattered would the zombie’s life come to an abrupt end.
"Ughggh..."
The Blood Corpse roared, staring at the Dark Elf with a vicious glint in its eyes. The next second, its arm trembled, and the arrow suddenly fell to the ground.
Scarlet blood replaced the damaged wound. As a Bronze Zombie, the Blood Corpse’s ability was controlling blood. The tender granulations on its body rolled, it roared, tensed its legs, and pounced towards the Dark Elf.
The Blood Corpse took two steps with one stride, arms reaching forward, mouth wide open as if it was about to devour the Dark Elf. In the blink of an eye, it was about to reach the Dark Elf.
Calm and unhurried.
In that instant, the Dark Elf took in a huge gulp of oxygen, her pupils slightly dilated. She drew two arrows and placed them on the bowstring. Twisting her right hand, she surprisingly twisted the two arrows into a single bundle, and in an instant, released them. The arrows shot out like a meteor.
..."Multi-Arrow!"
The arrows split into two in mid-air with a thud! Thud! Both hit the Blood Corpse’s chest and knee, obstructing its charge.
The Dark Elf seized the opportunity, lunging out like a cheetah. Her sudden burst of speed left a shallow pit in the ground beneath her feet.
...Throat Slit!
The Dark Elf’s figure emerged from the shadows. She flitted behind the Blood Corpse, hooked its neck with her longbow, and simultaneously braced her knee against its waist, jerking her body backward.
"Squelch!"
The Blood Corpse’s rounded head fell to the ground with a thud.
The Dark Elf possessed some melee capabilities.
Her agile speed made them like assassins; once in close quarters, few enemies could evade their deadly strikes.
Harvest.
The Blood Corpse’s demise, together with the ordinary zombies around, posed no threat to the Dark Elf and the Inferior Demon. The Dark Elf drew her bow, each arrow shot releasing a splatter of brain matter. In just a matter of minutes, dozens of bodies had fallen around them.
A battle that wasn’t difficult.
The commander grew a bit fearful.
What once was a vicious face was now replaced with fear. Compared to regular zombies, it possessed some intelligence, albeit minimal, yet it could display some emotional expressions.
The commander’s hands twisted together. If you ignored the maggots on its face, it looked just like a child who had done something wrong.
Vicious, fearful, ferocious, weak, crying.
The little girl’s face rapidly shifted expressions. As a Bronze Level Zombie, it couldn’t fully articulate its thoughts. Everything happening around made her mind a bit chaotic.
This was an extremely eerie scene.
The moon is dark and the wind is high.
A little girl with a face full of rotten flesh and missing legs is making expressions of crying, laughing, sorrow, and ferocity. This appearance sends shivers down the spine.
Wielding the Flame Sword, Chen Feng slowly walked in front of her; he looked down at the little girl, completely unfazed by her expressions.
The leader’s body trembled, and in the next second, she directly knelt on the ground.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
She, who controls a group of zombies and possesses the potential to be a ruler of millions in the future, is now desperately kowtowing to Chen Feng, each knock crisp and forceful enough to crack the ground.
"Woo woo..." The little girl let out a wailing whimper.
She actually knows how to beg for mercy, and at this moment, she abandoned her dignity, desperately kowtowing to Chen Feng.
Indeed, a variation.
A look of disbelief flashed across Chen Feng’s face; a zombie trying to pledge allegiance to him? He had never encountered anything so incredible.
"Stop kowtowing." Chen Feng calmly said to the little girl.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
The little girl was unmoved, and at the moment she became a zombie, most of her intelligence had already been wiped away. Now, she was entirely driven by a basic survival instinct, pleading to Chen Feng.
Begging for forgiveness.
The little girl continued kowtowing, her head already deformed; her forehead split open with a giant wound, from which maggots and rotten blood spilled onto the ground, sticky and peculiar sounds emerging.
"Still kowtowing? Need me to help you?" Chen Feng looked down at the little girl and suddenly laughed.
Pang!
He raised his right leg and stomped hard on her head.
The little girl had no resistance, her head was stomped to the ground. The power of silver broke through the ground, causing spider-web cracks to appear around.
"Pang!"
"Pang!"
The little girl opened her five fingers, clinging to the ground, attempting to stand up. But before she could lift her head, a terrifying force struck the back of her skull again!
Chen Feng remained unmoved, repeating the action of lifting and stomping down.
"Pop!"
A crisp sound, like a watermelon breaking, the girl’s head was directly crushed, brain matter and blood splattering around.
"In this world, you can’t even trust humans, and you want me to trust a zombie’s promise?" Chen Feng looked indifferently at the corpse beneath his feet, bent down, grabbed her left leg, and flung it backward!
"In...is..."
The Inferior Demon raised its head and swallowed the leader’s corpse in one bite. It was on the verge of evolution, and the leader’s flesh and blood were a great supplement for it.
Two Bronze Zombies.
A group of ordinary zombies.
By now, Chen Feng’s surroundings were long surrounded by corpses, but none held the sacrificial value he desired. Having ascended to silver, he had acquired summoning slots, and mere Bronze bodies were not worth his attention; even summoning them would be a wasted slot.
"Silver..."
Chen Feng muttered to himself. Compared to these corpses before him, he needs the corpse of a silver-level strongman; only a sacrifice of that level can summon his desired servant.
Commanding the Inferior Demon to clear the corpses, after successively devouring the leader and the other two Bronze bodies, the Inferior Demon’s body suddenly shook, boiling inside like hot water, and even the mud began to tremble.
"Is it about to evolve?" Chen Feng waved his hand, sending the Inferior Demon back to the Abyss. He had a feeling that the next meeting would surprise him.
"As the base of the army, Qiaodong should have been mostly cleared. Yet, in this Economic Development Zone, there are still many scattered monsters..."
Chen Feng hesitated, a gleam flashing in his eyes.
Military status was merely an identity; he wasn’t genuinely prepared to pledge loyalty to Feng Zhiyong. Compared to constraints, he preferred growing stronger amidst the carnage.
Chen Feng had made a plan.
He would linger here a while longer. Besides honing himself, if possible, he wanted... to hunt silver!
A sacrifice.
He needed fresh and powerful flesh to perform the summoning!
