Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 124-You Only
Kash:
"When she came to you, why did you not ask her more questions?" my wolf pressed me, sounding upset with me for not having a meaningful conversation with her.
"Do you think she was ready to have a conversation? She told me straight up what she wanted and why she wanted the rejection," I replied to my wolf, grabbing my bags and moving toward the exit.
I was finally going to find out about the water. This was going to be a huge deal for me.
The sad part was that even if I brought the cure for my son, I still needed to make sure it would work.
If it did, everything would change.
"Really? You think so? Do you think you will be able to cancel the wedding?" my wolf pushed, and I stopped for a few seconds.
I was outside now, standing next to my car.
I heard Iris was coming with her entire family, like it was a picnic.
I did not understand what was wrong with her. Why did she have to bring Luca and her mother everywhere?
But then again, I had no say in it anymore.
"Answer me. What would you do now?" my wolf asked me. "Let us say you are able to get your hands on the water and it works, then what? Would that little water be enough or would you want to be the one who claims the blue river?"
He questioned me because I had been too secretive about it, even with him.
I stood in my spot and took a deep breath. Then my eyes moved toward Iris, who was stepping out with her family, the warriors carrying their bags.
Her beautiful hair looked smooth. Her green eyes were shining with the mascara and black eyeliner, making them stand out.
The red lipstick she wore made her lips look even plumper.
"Tell me," my wolf snapped, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"It was never about claiming the blue river," I finally responded to him.
Flashback.
"Alpha King Kash, Luna Queen Iris have passed out again!"
The door swung open and Walkin rushed in. The way he said my name with the title told me it was serious.
When he added what had led him to burst into my office like that, it shook me to my core.
This had been the fifth time in one month that she had passed out out of nowhere.
In the beginning, I used to think something was wrong. Maybe she was not eating well.
So I decided to take a few weeks off from work. In those weeks, I stayed with her. I fed her.
I did not let her out of my sight. I did not let her step out of the room to work in the kitchen or even lift a cup.
During those days, I took her out only to enjoy picnics, views, and different locations, giving her the best time I could to see what was going on with her.
I expected her to feel better. However, nothing worked. She would still pass out out of nowhere.
I got up from my seat and rushed out of the office, sprinting toward my car to go back home. Nothing was working for her.
I had done all the tests. There were no issues in any of the results. Then what was wrong with her? I was losing my mind thinking about it.
The duration of her passing out had started to grow.
I went home and found her in the bed. My mother and my sister were outside in the living room, looking worried.
My sister had cried so much that her eyes were swollen.
"Is she okay?" my sister asked, and I lifted my hand to let her know I would speak with her once I saw Iris myself.
The minute I entered the room, fear hit me at the sight of her lying there in that condition.
She looked pale, as if there was no life in her body.
"I need to find a way to help her. I need to do something," I whispered as I reached her.
For a moment, it felt like I was dying little by little. Every time she passed out, I felt like I lost a part of myself too.
And this had been going on for too long.
I needed to find a way to help her.
End of flashback.
"Well, it appears stepping away from you really helped her health," my wolf taunted, and I grunted under my breath.
Ever since she returned, I had not seen her pass out once, so I began to wonder what was going on.
Her mother told me her brother had the same sickness, where he would pass out and have fits.
Iris did not have fits, not all the time. She would mostly drop and pass out, as if no life existed in her body.
But since she returned, she looked fine, and I was happy for her.
That was until I realized it was temporary. I began to wonder what the truth was behind her family, the mysterious family who had appeared out of nowhere.
Iris wandered toward her car and stole a glance at me before she quickly looked away.
After the whole rejection demand and the rejection itself, things were going to get awkward between us.
"Can we go and sit in Daddy’s car?" Amy called out, pointing toward me. I noticed the way Iris’s face changed color.
"Yes, that is a good idea. You all cannot fit in one car." I moved toward my children to help them sit with me.
Their car was already filled. They had two guards, one driver, Scarlett, Luca, and Iris’s mother.
There was no space left for anyone else.
"Scarlett and I can sit with you," Lady Clarissa offered.
However, I was not her daughter who listened to her.
"No. I think you should sit with Luca. Come on, kids, come with me. If anyone has a problem, they can come and join," I said in a tone directed straight at Iris.
Everyone stood there awkwardly while I fixed my children’s seats in the backseat.
"You know what? How about I trade with one of your warriors too?" Luca wandered over.
I already knew he would jump in.
So now it was going to be me, Iris, my two children, and Luca in the car, while the other car followed with the rest of them.
