Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 183-Aunt Teresa
Iris:
"What do you mean?" I asked.
Countless scenarios opened in my mind, one of them being whether Luca was the one holding my children hostage. However, I knew Luca would not betray me. He had taken my side when my mother was torturing me, unless they had something over him as well.
Then my brother spoke again.
"It seems your groom only has two options. Either he marries my sister, or he dies today at the stake in front of everyone, like a witch."
The moment he finished speaking, it felt as if my soul left my body.
"Right?" He turned to the warriors, who lowered their eyes. They looked miserable in front of him.
"Where is Luca? Where are my children?" I screamed at him.
Wilson snapped his fingers, and one of the warriors stepped toward the door. He opened it and whispered something to one of the maids while I watched. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
The warrior stepped aside, and a maid rushed in, holding a wedding gown in her hands.
"Please leave it on the bed," Wilson told her, and she did as instructed.
The same look of vulnerability was on her face, just like the others. I wondered why. What had my brother done in the last few hours to make them all look so miserable in front of him?
"Now it is up to you. Either you wear this dress to get married, or you wear black, because you will be receiving four dead bodies today, and you will have plenty of time to mourn them," Wilson warned.
As soon as Wilson finished, I rushed toward him and grabbed his collar. However, the way he seized my wrist and shoved me back sent me falling onto the bed with a strength I had never felt before.
"Just so you know, the monster did not leave my body. The insanity did. I am now in my sane mind with a lot of power, so be careful," my brother cautioned before he stepped out of the room.
I was left with no hope, nothing. For the next hour, I tried everything. I tried to break out the window, but there was not much I could do. Every time I attempted something, a warrior would come in and warn me not to make a mistake, telling me I was angering Wilson. The warriors also told me that they could not attack Wilson together, even if they wanted to. Their simple reasoning was that their families were being held hostage by my mother’s trusted men.
What had started it all was my mother asking my father to go to the kitchen for just a few seconds. Of course, she was not a hostage. That was when she somehow got the cure. I still did not understand how she found out about the code. But now, Wilson had returned, with my mother finally showing her face.
"I am disappointed." The minute my mother stepped a foot inside, she sighed sadly.
"I thought you would already be dressed in the gown because you were so adamant that you wanted to see your children. But I guess that is not the case," my mother commented, shaking her head.
"Do you think I will not reject Luca the minute I marry him, once I get my children back? Then why are you forcing me?" I demanded.
"Well then, get married and do just that," my mother replied, shrugging her shoulders while Wilson smirked, standing right next to her. It seemed like they were having quite a bit of fun watching me suffer.
"I do not understand why your entire life’s purpose is to control me," I said to both of them, wondering what I had done wrong? Was I not there? Family? Why were they so against me?
"We are just helping you," my mother commented.
"Helping me from what?" I asked her, watching her face in disbelief as she still tried to convince me that we were a team.
"Mom, tell her the aunt story," Wilson remarked in a rude tone.
"Do you know what happened to your aunt?" my mother finally asked me, mentioning someone she had never spoken about in years.
"No. You never told me," I replied, watching her nod her head and drift away.
"Well, it was gruesome," she uttered. "Way too gruesome." It was as if she had zoned out for just a few seconds.
"How is my life related to Aunt Teresa?" I asked my mother.
"She had found a mate in a werewolf just like you, an alpha werewolf. We stopped her. She did not listen. She ended up running away," my mother explained hastily, not taking time like she usually did. It was as if the topic was so hard for her that she just wanted to say it all so she would not have to think about it again.
"And then she was returned in a bag." The words from her mouth gave me chills.
I remembered Aunt Teresa from when I was very young, when my brother was also not suffering. She used to be our nanny too. She was the best one, the kindest one.
Hearing my mother tell me the details over the next ten minutes shook the world beneath my feet.
"I spent years looking for all her body parts because some of them were not returned, until I got a letter one day from the same alpha asking me to stop looking," my mother continued. "He said they had fed upon her organs and body parts. It was a dinner for the royals, where she was served."
My mother stated, causing me to gasp and cover my mouth. A tear rolled down my mother’s eye, and then she smiled.
"And then my son started to suffer. And now you are having seizures. Why? Why are we suffering?" Her questions made my head hurt.
What did she mean by saying I was having seizures? Was me passing out the same thing that had happened to Wilson? No, that could not be. I could not become a monster. I had children. I would never hurt anyone. But what if what she said was true? Could I even hurt my own children?
