Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World-Chapter 125: Vengeful Elephant
Among the fierce beasts which were staring at them as if they were a bunch of delicious fresh meat, there was even one that was on the verge of breaking through to fifth rank.
It was a huge elephant. As soon as its tiny eyes landed on them, the elephant let out a high-pitched and loud trumpeting sound.
Every time its feet landed on the ground, everything shook slightly, a clear show of its power. It was definitely on another level compared to the fierce beast who were at fourth-order rank.
Xie Ziyuan didn’t even need to tell them before the beastmen jumped into the battle, dealing with the fourth-order and lower fierce beasts’ levels.
He wanted to see how they would fare against this elephant.
However, soon, his expression furrowed slightly. This elephant seemed to have a familiar scent...
Currently, it was rampaging, slamming against any beastman who was the closest to it. Ma Yongcheng was quite close, and he hurriedly jumped away before its trunk could wrap around his body.
"The elephant’s scent is familiar," he immediately announced his finding.
Everyone also noticed this. Instead of seeing them as prey, the elephant was acting as if it was trying to kill them all—venting for something.
"We ate elephant’s meat before," Leng Chuan reminded them.
His clue gave everyone an idea of what was going on. They were dealing with a rampaging fierce beast who was trying to take revenge because they had eaten its relative!
Of course, not all of the beastmen had enjoyed the elephant’s meat, but most of them did.
Fang Meilin wrapped her snake tail around a few fierce beasts. Zhou Yunhan would be quick in dealing with them. They formed quite an unstoppable force on the battlefield.
Lin Yu’an would deliver arrows to the opponents, controlling his fire. Sometimes, it would catch them off guard, not expecting that flames would burst out once the arrow nailed to the target.
The last batch proved to be filled with talented beastmen.
Soon, the number of the lower level fierce beasts dwindled down under their combined effort.
Xie Ziyuan completely acted as a bystander, only interfering when necessary and making sure that no one died.
The elephant was truly a destructive force within the battlefield. It almost killed five beastmen by intending to stomp on them after it slammed them away and made them fall into the ground.
"Last one..." Mo Lingfeng muttered as he wiped the blood on his shoulder, staring at the elephant.
Only less than two thirds of beastmen left who were still capable of fighting. Most of them were already injured.
They all fought against the rampaging elephant to death, unleashing their utmost potential. With Xie Ziyuan around, they placed their utmost trust in him, believing he would save them.
On top of that, there was also the possibility of Miss Owner watching them!
Unfortunately... They weren’t aware that it wasn’t Su Yining at all who was watching them, but a little kitten.
Su Yining had told Xiao Lei not to interfere with the base’s training and explained the reason behind all of the fighting. Fortunately, the little kitten was smart and immediately understood.
After she fell asleep, Xiao Lei secretly dug out the phone from beneath her hand. She had actually fallen asleep when she was playing the game.
The battle of the dozens of beastmen against the huge elephant was still ongoing even after three hours had passed. In the end, only Fang Meilin, Zhou Yunhan, and Mo Lingfeng were left.
An hour later, they finally managed to severely injure the elephant.
Upon realizing that it couldn’t beat so many people, the elephant turned on its heel and started to run away.
"Chase after it!" Mo Lingfeng hurriedly shifted into his eagle form to follow the elephant.
Fang Meilin wrapped her snake tail against Zhou Yunhan’s body with familiarity and slithered to follow the two.
Zhou Yunhan coughed awkwardly. Amidst the blur of the forest afterimages, he still told her helplessly, "I am a black panther... my speed isn’t bad, you know."
The incident where he had gotten injured some time ago seemed to make her have the wrong impression about him. It was unknown whether she heard him or not, but her speed didn’t lessen.
A few moments later, they spotted Mo Lingfeng’s flying figure. Fang Meilin stopped.
"Lingfeng, where is the elephant?" Zhou Yunhan asked. Fang Meilin still hadn’t let go of him.
Mo Lingfeng fluttered to Zhou Yunhan’s head, landing on it. He pointed with his wings.
The few hours were enough for the beastmen to recover fast. It was unknown whether it was the effect of the pills from the game; their recovery speed was faster than usual.
Seeing the three chasing after the escaping fierce beast, the rest also moved. Their speed was slower compared to them, but they finally caught up after a while.
"The elephant is really gone," Zhou Yunhan muttered. They had headed to the direction Mo Lingfeng had pointed at and still hadn’t found it.
It was unclear whether the elephant had hidden itself or ran away.
"Master Xie, should we continue the search?" Leng Chuan asked.
Such a vengeful fierce beast was dangerous to be around... it could potentially attack them when they least expected it. Elephants were known for their good memory even before the apocalypse happened.
"Track it." Xie Ziyuan nodded.
It could also make them learn about tracking.
Soon, the group moved again.
Even though the elephant was severely injured, it was a fierce beast who was one step away from leveling up to fifth-order. Hence, if it wanted to run away, it was still quick despite its large figure.
Unfortunately, the search yielded no result even after days passed.
Su Yining had used the game’s perspective to locate the elephant, but she also couldn’t find it. She could only explore the location Yuanyuan had explored.
On the third day, they finally found a lead. Ma Yongcheng sniffed. "This blood should belong to the elephant."
He didn’t know what kind of method the elephant had used to evade his sense of smell too. It was even smart enough to spread its poop everywhere, confusing him.
"It was calling its horde," Mo Lingfeng returned as he brought a huge news he had seen from the aerial view.
