Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Elven Wings

"That was power from the Origin. You think I have unlimited stock of that?"

Elias huffed.

"Stingy ghost."

Then she grabbed Hazel’s wheelchair and rolled her out of the classroom.

Later that night, Luke found himself standing on an ancient tree overlooking West Lake.

Across from him was a man with the same waterfall-like black hair, his sharp eyes resembling an eagle’s gaze.

Luke narrowed his eyes, instantly recognizing him.

Black Feather—Tanya Reed’s senior brother from the Judgment Council.

Luke had no desire to see this man.

In fact, if it weren’t for Hazel’s safety, he wouldn’t have bothered meeting him at all.

Still, since Tanya had personally vouched for him, Luke reluctantly entertained this meeting.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Black Feather finally spoke.

"The Cardinal," he said, "codenamed Apollo, was in Arcadia a few months ago."

"But he only stayed half a day before disappearing."

Luke listened quietly, absorbing the crucial information.

After a moment, he gave a curt nod.

"Thanks for the tip, brother."

Then, without wasting another second, he stepped into the Gate of Instant Travel and vanished.

The next morning, the school gates were bustling with activity.

As part of their daily outdoor training, Arcadia Academy would send teams of students into the wilderness.

It was never a quiet place.

Among the many students preparing for departure, Luke spotted the thirteen individuals he had personally selected.

They were already waiting for him.

Both Elias Vaughn and Hazel Ross had arrived early, as expected.

And standing among the students were Perola and Edonna, the two Frostgard exchange mentors.

Luke let out a lazy yawn, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Ahh, sorry everyone, I overslept," he admitted with a grin.

It had been a long few days of intense activity, after all.

"Mentor Luke, it’s already an honor to train under you!" one of the female students said cheerfully.

Luke smirked.

Among the thirteen students, only three were female.

But unlike some of the delicate students, these three were quite capable.

A strong team—but still not ready for real danger.

He had to keep an eye on them.

"Mentor Luke, good morning," said Edonna, greeting him with a graceful smile.

Luke glanced her up and down.

She was just like Perola—both were tall, blonde beauties.

However, while Perola was fiery and passionate, Edonna had an icy yet alluring demeanor—like a flame encased in ice.

And today, Perola’s attire was as bold as ever.

A deep V-neck top and a pair of shorts— 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Even some of the male students were subtly adjusting their postures, clearly affected.

Luke rolled his eyes.

"Alright, enough chatter. Let’s move."

"Mentor, we’re heading to Lion City, but how are we getting there?" one of the students asked.

Luke simply pointed at the sky.

Before long, a line of Sky Eagles dove down from the horizon in immaculate array.

"Whoa! Sky Eagles?!"

All the other students not in his team watched seeing their fun.

"Mentor, why didn’t I get to ride a Sky Eagle?" one whined.

"Shut up!" another starving mentor snapped back.

"Get on the bus or stay behind!"

But Luke paid them no notice.

A military mage dismounted from one Sky Eagle, bowed, and saluted Luke.

"Sir! Commander Harold Carter has sent them, with an order to be delivered to you," the soldier said.

Luke smirked.

"Thank you, soldier. Much appreciated."

Luke faced Hazel, who still sat nervously on her wheelchair.

"Luke, I don’t think I could summon my Sky Eagle properly," she confessed.

Luke chuckled.

"You aren’t getting one."

From his infinite inventory, he produced a magnificently carved butterfly-shaped object that he placed on Hazel’s back gingerly.

Once it touched her, delicate translucent emerald green butterfly wings blossomed.

She hovered slightly above the ground while a subtle aura surrounded her.

It was his gift for her—

The Elven Wings.

"Oh my God, it’s Winged Magic Equipment!"

"Teacher, look! Why are other people’s mentors so ridiculously handsome?"

The students at Arcadia Academy were stunned.

Their fingers frantically pointed at the gorgeous butterfly wings behind Hazel Ross as she hovered gracefully in the air.

Even the students who were already mounted on their Sky Eagles couldn’t help but gape at the mesmerizing sight before them.

The Elven Wings wrapped around Hazel were a masterpiece.

Layer upon layer, shimmering in a blend of phantasmal colors, they interwove like the delicate folds of a dream, reflecting seven hues of radiant light.

Each movement shifted its color spectrum, making Hazel appear like a celestial elf descending from the heavens.

The effect was breathtaking.

The sheer beauty of it made even those who weren’t particularly envious by nature feel a deep pang of jealousy.

Meanwhile, the other instructors at the academy’s entrance were completely dumbfounded.

Winged Magic Equipment?

That was something so rare and expensive that even some elite families couldn’t afford it.

Just a basic Winged Magic Device cost at least 100 million, but what Luke had given Hazel—based on its elegance and magical refinement—had to be worth at least 300 million!

"Even the Murphy family’s Walter Murphy might own one at most, but he’d never lend it to anyone, not even to try it on!"

"That thing could buy an entire mansion!"

A collective gasp spread among the crowd.

The other teachers, meanwhile, were seething with jealousy but trying their best to maintain composure.

"This bus is leaving, love it or not! If you don’t want to sit, get lost!"

The envious mentors grumbled.

They had to act tough, because if they dwelled too much on their emotions, they might start crying out of envy.

Hazel, on the other hand, was stunned.

Her usually calm and intelligent eyes reflected a rare look of disbelief as she took in the exquisite Elven Wings wrapping around her.

Winged Magic Equipment!
