Became a Demon with Pregnancy System-Chapter 98: First Lesson
Before he could even react, he was hurled through the open window with a startled scream.
No one knew how far he had flown.
Luke had used eight-tenths of his strength—so it was likely that the student had landed somewhere very, very far away.
A dead silence filled the room.
Every student was staring at him in shock.
"Any other questions?" Luke asked coldly.
The classroom remained completely still.
Then—
Whispers erupted.
"That was... Space Magic—Mind Control!"
"But the Space Element can only be awakened at the High-Level...!"
"Does that mean... he’s a High-Level Mage?!"
The students who had witnessed Luke’s battle with Walter Murphy nodded in understanding.
They already knew what Luke was capable of.
If Walter Murphy was still recovering, then what chance did some random student have?
Luke sighed.
"If you don’t have any actual questions, I’ll make this simple."
"My classes are very flexible."
"I know a little bit about demon combat and hunting."
"So, for today’s first lesson, feel free to ask your own questions."
That way, he could get this over with and move on.
There was a pause.
Then—
A female student stood up.
Her seat was next to the male student who had just been flung out the window.
Her expression was one of thinly veiled contempt.
Clearly, she was not pleased with how Luke had handled the situation.
"Mentor Luke, I have a question," she said smoothly.
"It’s about demons—is that alright?"
Luke narrowed his eyes, already guessing her intention.
"Go ahead."
She smirked slightly.
"Yesterday, a giant snake appeared in downtown Hangzhou."
"There are no existing records of such a creature."
"Do you know what it was?"
Before Luke could respond, a chuckle came from the audience.
"I’m sorry," Elias Vaughn said, raising a hand.
"I just remembered something funny."
Hazel Ross looked at Elias, confused.
"What’s so funny?"
Elias shrugged.
"Just a dream I had yesterday."
Luke rolled his eyes.
Yeah.
A dream where she had somehow gotten the venom of the Totem Serpent for free.
Luke turned his gaze back to the female student.
For a moment, he debated whether or not to tell the truth.
The existence of Totem Beasts was still not widely known.
However, keeping it a secret wouldn’t last forever.
Especially not with the Silver Dome Lord lurking around.
Finally, Luke exhaled.
"That giant snake," he said, leaning forward.
"It’s called a Totem Beast."
The room fell completely silent.
"Totem Beast?" someone repeated.
"What does that mean?"
Luke’s eyes glowed faintly as he explained.
"Long ago, Totem Beasts were the guardians of our land."
"They are not the same as demons."
"Some of them still protect humanity to this day."
His words sent shockwaves through the classroom.
Their entire understanding of demons had just been shattered.
Luke smirked.
"Welcome to your first real lesson."
"Mentor Luke, according to what you’re saying, does that mean that every country in the world once had a totemic creature?"
Perola, the blonde wavy-haired woman, raised her hand, her face serious for once.
Luke glanced at her, slightly surprised.
A moment ago, she was glaring at him like she wanted to skin him alive, and now she was asking questions like a model student?
She sure changed her attitude fast.
"What country are you from?" Luke asked.
"I’m from the Frostgard," Perola said proudly, lifting her chin slightly.
Although the Frostgard wasn’t the strongest magical power, it was still one of the most influential.
On paper, at least, it was stronger than Skandia in many areas.
"Oh," Luke said, nodding.
"Then no, you don’t have any totemic creatures."
Perola’s proud expression froze.
"What do you mean?" she asked, baffled.
Luke smirked.
"You guys have barely existed for 200 years. You don’t even have ancient history, let alone prehistoric creatures."
"Where would your totems even come from?"
The entire lecture hall erupted in laughter.
Some students covered their mouths, trying to hide their amusement, while others openly chuckled.
Perola’s face darkened instantly. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Her expression shifted so fast that Luke nearly laughed.
Sure enough, this woman’s mood swings were extreme.
"Not just the Frostgard.," Luke continued, shifting the topic slightly.
"Many countries today don’t have ancient totemic creatures. Skandia is one of the few places that still preserves traces of them."
Luke didn’t elaborate too much on the topic.
This class was just a setup for future events—especially for the eventual emergence of the Totem Serpent.
Since he was the father of the little wolf cubs, Luke figured he might as well lend a hand.
But protecting humanity?
That was the Totem Serpent’s job.
Luke was only responsible for making things more interesting.
"Alright, that’s enough about the giant snake. Let’s move on to the next question."
For the rest of the class, Luke continued answering questions.
He wasn’t much of a theorist when it came to magic.
His real strength was combat, but his power level was so ridiculous that his experiences weren’t exactly useful to the students.
But when it came to demons, Luke was a professional.
After all, he was practically one himself.
During the Nanling Battle, he had encountered tens of thousands of demons—
He had gone from a lowly slave-level creature to a Commander, and then a Monarch.
Only one step away from becoming an Emperor.
That was too high of a level to discuss.
For now, he kept it simple, and yet the students were still fascinated.
They hung onto every word he spoke, eager to learn more.
Most demonology classes only covered basic creatures, but Luke had casually mentioned some Imperial-level beings.
To them, it was eye-opening—a glimpse into a world far beyond their reach.
The students left the lecture hall with expressions of awe and excitement, their minds filled with wonder.
Just as the class was ending, a loud, cheerful laugh echoed from the door.
"Hahaha! Mentor Luke, that was a fantastic lecture!"
A gleaming bald head stepped into view, shining under the lights.
Luke’s eyebrows twitched.
That bald head was way too reflective.
"Hello, Dean Silas," Luke said, nodding politely.
