Becoming a God Starts with Acting-Chapter 443: Entering the Citadel of Marax
Silvanus did not answer Nick's question. Whatever. When the time comes, whoever wants to be fooled can just go ahead and be fooled.
And Asta was clearly intrigued by Silvanus's words.
He invited Nick and Silvanus onto the palanquin, while casting an affectionate gaze at Silvanus. "Making me give up my other roses would be a bit difficult."
At the same time, Nick finally understood why Asta could say something like that.
The inside of the palanquin was far more spacious than they had imagined. Even more worth mentioning was that sitting around the largest divan were three beautiful girls. Their chests were, truly, Asta swore that this was the kind of size that only existed in comics!
Just then, Asta's mocking laughter sounded from the side. "What, you're already drooling."
Nick instinctively wiped his mouth, then immediately realized what was going on. He shot Asta a glare and then carried Silvanus to a corner. "Silvanus, don't look at this depraved lifestyle. My god, you're just a child."
Silvanus: "..."
He stayed silent. It was simply that he was very tired. That pile of iron did not appear out of thin air.
At that moment, Asta suddenly walked over and scooped Silvanus out of Nick's arms. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Nick jumped in fright. He sprang up and snatched Silvanus back from Asta's hands. "Hey, don't even think about tainting him!"
Asta shrugged. "He just looks too tired. Drinking tea with me can help wake him up."
Nick currently felt extreme hostility toward people who could live in luxury, wield supreme power, and keep a big-breasted harem at their side.
He absolutely would not let Silvanus become like that!
"Who knows what the hell you've put in that tea!"
Nick said.
Asta clicked his tongue inwardly as the two of them tugged Silvanus back and forth.
The veins on Silvanus's forehead twitched. He was truly starting to resent this small body. If he were grown again, he would definitely knock Asta and Nick on the head once each!
With that thought, a sudden streak of lightning flashed through Silvanus's eyes, carrying a dazzling purple glow.
Asta jolted in fright and hurriedly let go of Silvanus. Nick quickly caught him, flustered. "Silvanus, what's wrong?"
Silvanus blinked and shook his head. Before he could say anything, Asta had already moved closer with a probing look. "Unbelievable. A Hobbit on the verge of awakening into a Demons. Are you a hybrid between a Hobbit and a Demons?"
After speaking, he took a deep breath and denied it himself. "No, that's not right either. Your scent is actually very pure."
"Don't look so hungry!" Nick shouted, once again hugging Silvanus tightly and retreating to the side.
Asta sneered, about to say something, when a beautiful hand suddenly clasped his and gently tugged.
Asta immediately followed the pull and leaned back, collapsing onto the divan, enjoying the beauties serving tea and peeling fruit for him. Every time they leaned in, their chests almost pressed against his face. Now it was finally clear where his disheveled appearance came from. It really was a perfect display of the indulgent and lustful nature of Demons.
Off to the side, Nick could not help secretly swallowing. With one hand covering Silvanus's eyes, he still couldn't resist sneaking glances over, all of which Asta caught several times.
Asta shook his head and clicked his tongue. "My god, you look truly pitiful in that deprived state. Don't worry, we're about to reach Marax. When we get there, you'll be free to let it all out."
Nick frowned in confusion. "What's so special about Marax?"
Then he bristled. "And besides, I don't need to let anything out!"
Asta ignored Nick's weak protest and laughed. "You're about to arrive in Marax and you don't even know what's there? Of course it's full of sex. A paradise of lust. In that place, doing it right out on the street isn't a problem at all."
Nick's eyes turned red without him noticing. Unfortunately, he no longer had a free hand to cover Silvanus's ears. He glanced at Silvanus, wondering whether they really needed to go to such a place at all?!
At that moment, one of the three girls suddenly spoke up. "But even so, you still love us the most, right, Lord Asta?"
Asta immediately nodded and swore solemnly. "Of course. This palanquin can only hold the four of us anyway."
The three female Demons were instantly moved and hugged Asta tightly.
Asta was squeezed between three enormous bosoms, his face wearing an expression of "endurance." He smiled as he comforted his three beauties. Nick, standing to the side, truly could not take it anymore and finally blurted out, "If you love them that much, then why are you still going to Marax at all?"
Asta sighed. "Because their female city lord, Marax, is choosing a consort. Everyone says Marax is so beautiful it's deadly, and that she loves beauty. Of course I have to go take a look." That's right—the name of the Citadel was also the name of the City Lord herself.
As he spoke, he smiled at Nick. "You look quite young and appetizing too. Be careful, you might get chosen."
Nick couldn't help shivering inwardly and muttered, "So what if I get chosen?"
Asta said mysteriously, "I've heard that everyone who gets chosen by Marax is ecstatic at first, but afterward, for some reason, they always want to run away. They even keep completely silent about why they ran. Take a guess—why do you think those chosen ones fled?"
Hearing that, Nick seriously thought it over. "Could it be that Marax's demands are too intense, and they're afraid of being drained dry?"
Asta burst into laughter. Nick flushed belatedly, while Silvanus said flatly, "That's enough."
Nick immediately fell silent. No matter how much Asta tried to provoke him afterward, he didn't respond anymore.
Nick had thought that Asta would be extremely noisy at night, maybe even do that sort of thing right in front of them. After all, Demons were shameless creatures, desire above all else. But surprisingly, nothing like that happened. Asta simply went to sleep, with the three girls lying scattered around him, as if it were just another ordinary day.
It really was the first time Nick had seen someone so debauched in such a wholesome way, and who even went to bed on time.
In any case, by the next morning, they finally arrived outside the Citadel of Marax.
This time, Asta did not bring the three girls down from the palanquin. He stepped down alone. The palanquin seemed to drift away, quickly becoming invisible again, just like it had been at the beginning.
Nick stared at him in astonishment. Asta waved his hand. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"What about those three girls? Why didn't they come with you?" Nick asked directly.
Asta replied casually, "I gave that palanquin to them. They've been wandering outside for a long time. It's quite pitiful."
"Wait a second—so they're not going to follow you and serve you? You just sent them away? Then what about all those sweet promises you made in the palanquin?" Nick felt that he simply couldn't understand Asta.
But by this point, they had already entered the Citadel.
Asta tilted his head and leaned straight into the nearest enormous bosom, saying with an enraptured expression, "What's there to regret? Here, we can find even more chests than that."
"Welcome, honored guests." The owner of that bosom obligingly wrapped her arms around Asta. Hearing the voice, Nick couldn't help turning around, then immediately shouted, "Ivy!"
Ivy looked at them in surprise, clearly not expecting to see them here.
She laughed. "What a coincidence—we meet again, hahaha."
Nick immediately rolled up his sleeves. "You can still laugh? You actually abandoned us halfway, you Demon!"
If Nick had cursed her in any other way, Ivy might have reacted, but when he called her a Demon, she could only remain silent and endure it.
At this moment, Asta straightened up and looked at them. "An acquaintance?"
Ivy quickly said, "Alright, to make it up to you, I'll give the two of you free tickets to watch Marax choose her consort. How about that?"
"This costs money too?" Nick couldn't help saying.
Asta immediately nodded from the side. "Of course it does. And it's expensive."
Nick shot back, "But Silvanus is clearly a child. You shouldn't be charging children!"
Silvanus: "... I'm not a child."
Ivy laughed. "This might be the first time a Hobbit has come to take part in this event. Who knows, maybe Silvanus will get chosen."
Silvanus's expression remained completely indifferent. "I'm not particularly eager to be chosen."
In the end, everything was settled. Asta even managed to get a free ticket from Ivy by shamelessly wheedling with his silver tongue.
Before leaving, Ivy even grabbed at his collar, talking about booking a room or something, but Asta turned her down.
Tsk tsk. He already had a whole harem of enormous-breasted beauties in his palanquin, yet he still pretended to be a virgin. Nick thought to himself, and found himself a little bit looking forward to Marax's consort-selection event.
